Hi, I just got the phone with IMEI null. I don't know the reason how it became "NULL". I read lot of posts and everybody says that problem with EFS partition. Will this work if i flash with somebody else EFS partition on my phone?
Its illegal to use someone else imei, try using kies

same question
same question, where is imei stored? is there some EFS folder like Samsung phones?
You do not need to worry about imei loss. I've not read any reports of imei getting permanently lost.
If you loose your imei, after flashing, you can simply flash a stock ROM from rsd to restore it.

how can do
i9500
baseband unknown
imei null/null
please help me
Unfortunately in this situation there's not a lot you can do without an EFS backup. A service centre can fix it.

What did you do to it ? Beware the a service might refuse to fix it if you have a custom rom into it...
I recently bought an Samsung Galaxy 4 and the imei is locked. I need an program in which i can unblock or change the imei number so i can use it.

You're not going to find it here. Changing your imei isn't legal.

(Xxxxxxxx94600)
And i tried flashing a couple of frimwares and couple of modems it didnt get my old imei back how to fix pls !?
Sent from my GT-I9500 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If you tried different modems and you can't get back your imei then it got damaged you must restore a backup but if you don't have there must be a way to change it with a hex editor.(Its just a guess)

That's why you make a nandroid backup

You probably flashed something. Give us the run down of what were the last couple of things you did to your phone.

Normally I would guide you on how to fix, but since a phone shop messed it up on you it's not up to you to fix, why should you risk your warranty cause of their mistake?, bring it back and demand they fix it ASAP for free.
I bought the phone when I was in tour, more than it the knox had triggered it to 'warranty bit 1'.
Please give me a soulution !?

Not strictly true. Lots of people have no efs back up and can restore easily.
Number 1 - there's a fore script that rebuilds the partition, which the note 3 can do.
Number 2 - Your imei is stored on your box for the device to, with a little bit of adb trickery you can restore it fine.

Yer arse, if the efs is empty then your pretty much ****ed without a backup... That imei number he has is a generic default when the system can't find the original.. Edit: however I've no idea if such a script /program can regenerate the original imei number.. I had the same problem on a galaxy S1, wiped the phone, reflashed a custom rom, bang no imei.. Had a backup of efs and had it working again, phew. Reading about the imei was a nightmare..

Then please give guide me how to do it?

There's plenty of threads where people have restored efs and lost IMEI and serial numbers. - things have changed significantly since the S1 days....
amancools there is numerous threads around, search for them. I'm on my phone and searching for links is annoying.
Edit: Here's the efs fix for the benefit of poster who says "yer arse"

You have to reinstall Official lollipop
If you flash and custom rom that make EFS Backup automatically, for example Ozcan ROM, you have to search a folder with this name "efs_Backup" in your "internal memory"
If you have this folder and backup
Make this instruction for downgrade to Kitkat: Here
But if i go to lollipop also still my imei and Baseband will be unknown !!

No it's not so. Revert back to Lollipop and your baseband, imei will be recovered.
I have already experienced this, have been jumping between Kitkat and Lollipop since a week because of the same problem, I guess Lollipop has updated the EFS which makes Kitkat unable to read it properly.
Hope this helped you!
Unknown imei = go to lollipop, null, generic etc need a efs backup, however you can go to a mobile shop with a octopus box or something like that.
