[Q] [Help] Internal sdcard unmountable - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Guys (and ladies!),
I'm new here, i'm looking for a little help with my new S4 device
I was looking to perform a wipe of the default ROM, and install a Google Edition in 4.3. However, I've never reach this last part !
Here is my issue :
Actions done :
Add CWM 6.0.3.2-4 on the S4, using Odin (works fine)
Installation of Adam kernel 1.6 (no prob, the phone is running well)
Transfering the .zip file of the wanted ROM on the internal sdcard with the phone running (ok)
Rebooting the phone on CWM (ok)
Clearing all to default factory, cache & dalvik cache, and... formatting data, cache & system partitions (it was to start as clean as possible). Done without issue (the formatting of the /system was quite long, but succeeded).
But after performing this operation, I was not able to perform any other action on the phone ; when I try to access to the internal sdcard, I have the following error :
E:Can't mount /sdcard/
Click to collapse
On the advanced logs :
W:Failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata (Invalid argument)
Click to collapse
I try to use an external sdcard, no problem to mount this one. But even by trying to install the ROM through the external sdcard, the installation failed, because the internal sdcard could not be mounted.
So I've try to use odin to reinstall the default rom, downloaded from Samsung website.
The upload is working fine, but the phone is not fully booting (freezed on "Samsung", after the jingle).
I reinstall CWM after this, and I still get the same error message : Can't mount sdcard.
I'm running out of options here, and I don't know what I can try else, Google was not very helpfull with this
Someone have any idea ?
Thanks a lot !

I've proceed to another try to a clean install (using another Odin version, still with the default option, and using a stock rom).
The installation by itself works fine (in Odin) :

However, the device doesn't boot ; the loadscreen with samsung appears, the jingle runs, and the display show "SAMSUNG" and nothing else (waited ~1h to be sure that the system wasn't just still progressing with the installation process).
Rebooting the phone / removing the battery / etc, still the same behaviour.
When adding a recovery (ie, CWM), when I try to access the sdcard, I still have the error message :
E: Can't mount /sdcard/
I don't understand.
- If as I think it was my system formatting which was the root cause of the issue, why the sdcard is not mounting ? I never try to format the whole sdcard. And the ext4fs has been rebuild with success after the formatting
- If the device could not mount the sdcard, where all datas send through Odin are left ? In the memory of the device, and only write into the Sdcard at first boot ? (could explain why the device is stuck on this mode).
Someone think it could a good idea to try to format the sdcard, using the sdcard format option from CWM? If yes, how this is working ? Everything will be wiped ? What about IMEI informations & stuff ?
Thanks.

This was a previous cwm issue where it can't access the SD card. If you install a rom you'll probably get error status 7. Download the latest philz recovery .tar and flash it Odin. Reboot into recovery and wipe everything and the internal SD. This should solve the problem.
---------- Post added at 04:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:41 PM ----------
You will lose everything btw

Thank you for your response !
I will try this and keep you posted.
Just two things :
- "wipe everything and the internal SD". Why do you mean by "the internal SD" ? Format ?
- When you tell "everything", is this including informations like IMEI (don't care about the datas on the phone, just about the hardware specifics for network registration) ?
Just want to be sure of what i'm doing Thanks again !

Formatting the internal SD will wipe the internal memory so you will lose all pics etc. Wont affect anything to do with the hardware, imei etc its just your information on the device
In philz if you select wipe /clean install new rom it will wipe the system completely and the phone won't have a new any software on it until you either install a ROM using philz or using Odin to flash official firmware. My advice would be to remove the SD card just in case you accidentally wipe that as well. In philz that's called the external Sd

To format the SD go into the mounts and storage option

Thanks for the precision
Ok, here we go :
Installation of Philz Recovery for i9505 (v5) using Odin v3.07

Boot onto Philz Recovery
=> Boot ok, but getting an error :
Code:

E:Could not mount /data to setup /data/media path!
In the logs :
Code:

In fact, I finally succeeded
I've downloaded TWRP, and I was able to format and install the Google Rom with this recovery without any issue !
Anyway, thank you for your help. I hope this post could help someone else in the future !
Regards,
Felkor

Glad to hear you got it sorted. Just to make you aware that TWRP 2.5.2 had a similar issue. Should be OK with 2.6

Odin after recovery problems: fail!

Hey guys,
I was running slimbean 2.7 and devilkernel. When I wanted to reboot my phone, I got into recovery mode instead of the system. "Reboot to system" in cwm didn't help and neither did pressing the power button, I kept getting into recovery again and again.
After Cache and Dalvik wipe didn't help, I decided to wipe data/factory reset and use a backup. When trying to choose the backup, all of them were gone, so instead I tried to flash slimbean again, all I got was "e: can't mount sdcard" (this is all on internal sdcard, i don't have an external one).
So I started odin3 v1.85 and choose semaphore 2.5.0s.tar, put it in pda, brought my phone into download mode, docked it and pressed start (repartition wasn't checked and kies wasn't running either) and I instantly got "fail!". The phone is still connected to odin but it now shows a completely black screen.

Flash an Ezbase rescue kit with 512 Pit file and repartition TICKED from My Android Collections
But First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card....
Tips before Flashing:-
Backup all your important files, contacts, SMS, game data, images etc to PC or Ext SD card. or make Nanadroid Backup If you have CWM
Backup your EFS Folder to PC or Ext SD card
Enable USB Debugging on Phone. Touch menu> Settings> Applications> Development>
Charge your battery to more than 50% before you attempt any sort of flashing.
Disable Samsung KIES when using Odin. Kill Kies.exe, KiesTrayAgent.exe, & KiesPDLR.exe using Task Manager on PC
Use only ROM and solution for your model and Wipe x3

Got it. Can I now flash a normal 3part stock rom? Or what do I do? I'd like to flash a stock rom without root, xwjw1. Is that possible to do with repartition now or am I going to crash something?
Edit:
Okay, problem is, after the first reboot after copying ezrescue via odin cwm tells me the following:
--Copying media files...
E:failed to mount /sdcard (File exists)
E:copy_dbdata_media:Can`t mount /sdcard
Your storage not prepared yet. please use UI menu for format and reboot actions.

Like I said in the beginning: not being able to mount the sdcard was one of the first problems I had before all this crap started. Does that mount that there is some kind of hardware damage? What do I do next?

Is both your Storage available on your Phone? and can you open them on your PC ?
If you already have a backup, you can format your SD cards in the phone or via PC by unmount or in USB storage mode.
Anyway all you need to do here, is Flash the ROM again for your region ( initially you must have had XEU). Do not use Pit and do not repartition . Chose from here
First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card, after flashing and reboot , insert them back
Tips before Flashing:-
Backup all your important files, contacts, SMS, game data, images etc to PC or Ext SD card. or make Nanadroid Backup If you have CWM
Backup your EFS Folder to PC or Ext SD card
Enable USB Debugging on Phone. Touch menu> Settings> Applications> Development>

Thanks a lot, I did that, but the sdcard still does not work at all. I'm sending it back to have it repaired, it's gotta be a hardware problem. thanks a lot for your help mate =)
Its common to get dead SD cards on random galaxy s models. Its not you

[Q] How to remove android encryption?

Super basic question. I turned on encryption a long time ago. I have no idea how to turn it off! I'm running Cyanogen now w/CWM 6.0.4.7, which I believe is the latest. I've tried the obvious stuff like reflashing and attempting to format, but nothing seems to do the trick. Any help is much appreciated!

I think a factory reset is the only way to remove encryption, all data will be wiped.

Actually I've already tried that. Factory resets fail!
Here's what happens:
- boot into recovery (CWM 6.0.4.7)
- choose "wipe data/factory reset"
- confirm yes
Code:
-- Wiping data...
Formatting /data...
Error mounting /data!
Skipping format...
Formatting cache...
Formatting /sd-ext...
E: unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]
Formatting /sdcard/.android_secure...
Error mounting /sdcard/.android_secure!
Skipping format...
Data wipe complete.

I'm actually trying to flash it with CWM now, just so I can get menus. As I recall, however, I've already tried that kind of reset and it doesn't work.

I think that worked! I installed a version of CM that worked just fine to access my encrypted system (obviously I still have my password) and boot to the point where I could use a System -> Factory Reset from inside Android OS. I hit all the "seriously, YES, DO THIS" buttons and now I seem to have a non-encrypted phone!

I was wrong. This did not work, and least, I don't think it did. My overall goal was to remove encryption and move over to Jamal's Google Edition ROM. I was finally able to get that to install but now my phone is asking for a password on boot. My old encryption password clearly doesn't work. I've read vague things about encryption keys being missing, but I don't really know about that.
All I care is that there is zero important data on this phone. I have CWM 6.0.4.7 and I can't seem to change that because I can't get my device to recognize in fastboot mode and the current GPE rom doesn't boot (I can't get past the decryption prompt). So uhh... what can I do from here? Crapola.
Ok, here's video proof of what I'm doing. Hopefully it is clear that I start cold/off, boot into Recovery, do both a Factory Reset and a Reset Cache, then I boot into a clean AOSP install (specifically: I9505_-_Official_Google_Edition_4.4.2_by_Jamal2367_Final-R1.1.zip ) and I still get prompted for an encryption password. WTF?

Halp me xda-devs, you're my only hope!
Any help out there? I'm at the point where I've started reading through Android source and still not getting anywhere. I find it hard to believe I'm the only person who's ever tried to stop using encryption...

I think i now know the more convenient way to remove the encryption from your android phone...
First go to Settings-->Security-->
Then under "Credential Storages" click on "Clear all credentials".

I only have a Mac, so if someone points me at a Heimdall compatible stock ROM I'll definitely try that, but I can't use Odin (cause that's windows only, right?)
Nothing worked. I'm still stuck. Seriously how the HECK does Android think this is an encrypted device? I've manually run mkefs even! I am 100% sure there isn't *actually* any encryption, I'm pretty damn sure I've wiped the filesystems, so are there magic flags in the partition table or something? Seriously WTF?

I notice that v 3.09 has different button names from the v 3.07 videos I'm finding everywhere on YouTube. Everywhere it says use the "PDA" button. which is the second one down under "files [download]" but that doesn't exist anymore. Now they are, in order, "BL, AP, CP, CSC, and UMS." I used the second button, AP, and it seemed to do the right verifying of the md5 file then attempts at flashing.
Uhhh... any help?
What about using Kies3?

Uhhh... any help?
What about using Kies3?

I've never used Kies so I wouldn't know.
A failed write in Odin could be one of many things:
Dodgy USB cable
Dodgy USB port
Kies running in the background (You must kill all Kies processes that might be going on)
If you've tried different cable and USB port and killed Kies processes then could be the encryption stopping it.
what I would do:
Install Odin 1.85 (I've always used this. Never used a later version)
Uninstall Kies
flash latest philz CWM recovery to your device
boot into recovery and select 'mounts and storage'
Format: Boot, Cache, System, Preload and Data. (if of course they can be mounted due to encryption)
Go to 'wipe data factory reset' and for the sake of it choose the wipe to install a new ROM. (over kill, but I like to do it anyway)
Now you have a totally wiped clean device.
Boot into download mode
Boot up Odin v1.85
connect phone
and flash the firmware again, in PDA section of Odin.
Good luck!!
tried to find my version of Odin 1.85 but couldn't. should be online somewhere though

I have tried multiple cables. I did not try different USB ports, however, since some operations work just fine I really doubt that was the problem. Do you have a link to this "philz CWM" recovery and the Odin v1.85? I'd love to try them.
I got it solved!! I got help from an official Samsung Representative via Samsung Experience Store that's built into a nearby Best Buy. This seems to be their version of the Apple Genius Bar.
After Kies3 didn't work I decided to contact Samsung. I live-chatted with them and the end result was, rather quickly, that the best course of action would be to have an official rep give flashing a try with something they call Samsung Smart Tool. I went to a Best Buy and the nice lady gave it a try. It took a few goes and about an hour, but in the end she was able to restore my device to stock (KitKat, so upgraded stock I guess since my phone came with Jellybean).
First she tried some automatic recovery, which failed.
Second she tried to have her system recognize my device, which also failed. She said that might be the device being too borked to work, but it could also just be that not every Samsung handset is in their auto-recognition system. The backup plan was easy; she went to a site and downloaded a stock image given the model number printed on the phone. I believe she used SamMobile.
Third, she tried a flash of M919UVUFNB4_M919TMBFNB4_TMB.zip using Samsung Smart Tool while my phone was in fastboot, but the flash only got to 1%.
She thought the 1% might be something incompatible about that ROM so she downloaded M919UVUEMK2_M919TMBEMK2_TMB.zip and gave that a try, but only got to 10%.
Finally she went back and tried the first package again, this time it worked.
Note: After the successful flash the phone clearly would not boot all the way the first time. It got to the Tmobile logo and stuck therefor about 5 minutes before she restarted, at while point we saw some "android is updating X of Y apps" message, the booting completed after about 5 minutes, and the device is back to working and unencrypted!!

[Q] Please help me unbrick my s4 TB bricked CWM can't help.

Hi everyone.
What happened to my phone is the weirdest thing and so far it seems nothing can work to fix it.
It's a GT-i9500 international model. Rooted and with KitKat 4.4.2.
How I messed things up:
- Was in Titanium Backup, tried to convert one game app I previously made "system app" back to "user app". The process was taking over 20 minutes... I figured must be some kind of a freeze. Then I held the power button to shut it off.
- I then powered on again, and realized that the device is not booting! There was no "Samsung" logo.
How I tried to fix it:
- I went to the CWM recovery and tried installing my latest backup (with a custom ROM). Did that after wiping all cache (with dalvik included) and data wipe system restore in CWM. After restoring the device that way -> It boots to "samsung" animation where it stays and gets warm when left for over an hour.
- I went back to CWM this time tried to flash the custom ROM again - so I picked the custom ROM zip file after wiping cache/system restore in CWM again and waited till it finishes. Rebooted the device -> It boots to "samsung" animation where it stays and gets warm when left for over an hour.
- Again in CWM tried to this time restore the stock rom which I have backed up with CWM after I have rooted the phone. -> The weirdest thing happened after restore. The phone booted into the carrier "boot animation", then it showed "Samsung gt-9500" (first time ever I've seen this screen on this device, it was never shown before), then it went once more to "samsung" letters being lit (but without the "samsung" boot animation with that purple thing and sound).
- I tried formatting the partitions within CWM except for the EFS and external SD partition and repeating each of the above all to no avail.
When I returned the stock firmware in third example (it was stock, but that backup made by CWM recovery ofc) CWM asked on reboot if I want to get back to stock recovery, I said no since I don't want to lose CWM esp now that the phone doesn't work as it should.
Currently I'm trying to:
- Flash stock firmware with ODIN through the download mode. Sadly so far I've seemed to have downloaded the Jelly Bean ROM instead of KitKat for it because ODIN gave me (nand write) error on flashing PDA and device showed:
check fail device:3 binary:2
So yeah, downloading firmware and will try ODIN with the KitKat one (the other I tried with ODIN didn't have version written in so that's why I assumed it must be KitKat too, took it from XDA guide, but seems it was JB after all).
I also want to stress that all previous steps in CWM were all done using KitKat builds so that couldn't be the problem.
So any of you have any idea what's going on with my phone?
I find it really weird that CWM which is supposed to restore phone in case of emergencies like this failed to do so. Perhaps nandroid backup would be a better choice next time? What do you think?
EDIT:
OMG this seem bad. Tried to flash through ODIN with another ROM and this is what I got:

Interestingly after this - now I don't have Chinese "download" mode anymore (the phone was bought through a friend and worked for over a year fine rooted btw) now it's in English... and, if I just try to boot it it says nicely:
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
It would also seem recovery is gone too now... :/
hmm...
EDIT2:
Tried a different USB cable - same result.
Tried Odin 3.10 - same.
EDIT3:
WOW... the strangest thing!
So... after reading tons of threads I have found a suggestion to change the USB port. So I did (from USB 2.0 on my laptop to a USB 3.0 one if that matters). That's on org Samsung USB cable + reinstalled USB drivers to latest + ODIN 3.10. And then... it worked. Instead of "fail" on "system.img" this time it showed progress on the "system" stage. After a while it DID finish with a "PASS".
Next boot I was told that "Device memory damaged" and asked to factory reset it. Which I did. Next boot - Booted the first run settings and the system... next boot - booted the "Black Edition" (with different boot animation sound and then theme) and it's working now fine O_O will proceed to root it and then take care of everything again discarding the old backups and backing up stuff again.

Phone Stuck in Bootloop, can't use Odin to flash stock / recovery nor Kies [HELP!]

Hey there!
First of all, I'm quite new here, so please be nice. That doesn't mean I'm completely noob to flashing or Android phones in general.
I'm not sure what my phone model is (It's either SM-G900P or SM-G900F) since it's not 100% genuine. It is however Samsung Galaxy S5.
That means I bought it for a discounted price online, the seller claimed that only some internal parts were changed (with identical ones).
If this is not the right place to post, I'm sorry in advance.. it's just that I'm not entirely sure about my model (says G900P on the back of the phone,
I remember, though, checking in the settings in which it said G900F so I'm kind of lost here).
I have used my phone for a couple of months, and it worked completely fine.
Recently I got my phone stuck in a bootloop. It started from a camera app that didn't reduce the photo quality as much...
I had to change some permissions in my rooted phone and re-install the Samsung camera 3 app.
One thing led to another, and now I'm stuck in a bootloop.
This is my current state:
- I have my Samsung Galaxy S5 with TWRP 3.0.1.0 recovery working.
- Whenever I boot, it either gets stuck on the booting animation or shows it once and then boots into recovery (TWRP).
- I don't know how to get my phone to boot normally into (any) firmware.
Comments:
- I can boot into download mod, and Odin recognizes my phone (It errors on flashing, though).
- Whenever I boot I get KERNAL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING, Set Warrantiy Bit: Kernal.
- Upon getting into Recovery mode (In the old Philz recovery. Now I have TWRP) , a message written at the bottom says: E: could not mount /data to setup /data/media Path!
- Sadly, my Knox counter is 0x1 (2). (not that my phone came with any warranty)
- My phone was Bought in Russia, it was made in Vietnam.
I have tried:
- Installing a couple of different roms (downloading zip into SD card, wiping data, cache, successfully installing).
(When I try to boot it either bootloops or boots into recovery after 1 try)
- Trying to use Odin (with different versions) to flash .tar.md5 STOCK firmware (if that's what it is).
(On flashing 900F firmware I get aboot auth problem, On flashing 900P firmware I get:
Output on phone:

And it keeps on failing even with different versions of firmware.)
- On trying Kies or Kies 3 to emergency firmware update:
I keep on getting invalid model / serial number after typing varients models (SM-G928F/900F/900P) with my serial number (which is prob invalid).
- Using different PIT files while trying to flash different stock firmware (with all possible combinations) while using Odin.
(Same either aboot (auth fail) error or SW REV CHECK FAIL: [aboot]Fused 3 > Binary 1 error)
- Trying to Factory Reset using TWRP.
It states Failed and outputs:
Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer.

Therefore, I can't see any possible solution to fix my bootloop problem.
I have wasted the last 2 days googling the **** out of it (and usually I find a solution),
but I couldn't find anything to fix me phone! I feel completely lost! Please, help me! :crying:
If you guys need anymore information, I'll reply quick and do my best to get everything you need in order to help.
Note that I did follow each step carefully on each solution that I've tried. Chances are very low for me to miss something.
(I even made sure Kies isn't running while flashing with Odin.. and so on)
Possible reasons for errors:
- Both Philz and TWRP recoveries can't mount '/data' to be able to factory reset!
- I don't know which stock firmware I need to flash with Odin (build / country??)
- Could be something went wrong in kernal or bootloader or modem or anything like that?
(I don't know what those things are so I'm not sure).
- All of the Odin versions I used aren't working with my phone? (3.04,3.07,3.09,3.10.7)
- I'm missing a speciifc PIT file to flash with the stock firmware?
- Something in the RW REV is messing things up (I don't know what that is).
Check what model it says in download mode, that is the correct model, but I have a feeling you have a fake S5, so no stock firmware will work, nor will ODIN as it is for genuine samsung phones only
Could try flashing TWRP recovery flashlable zip from Philz to replace your recovery, TWRP is a much more powerful recovery, might let you flash a custom ROM from TWRP

Thanks for your quick response!
It says SM-G900P in download mode.
Are you saying that aboot auth fail and rev errors have to do with the possibility my phone isn't genuine?
Everything worked in this phone, just the way it should.. even the heartbeat censor.. it's all there.
I don't think my S5 is fake, rather it is part swapped or modified, but not a fake (replica) one.
I will try replacing to TWRP and installing 2 roms I have. :good:
Update:
- I have tried installing twrp-2.8.6.0-d802.zip through Philz recovery, it didn't work (error in zip status 7).
- I managed to install TWRP 3.0.1.0.
- I have tried installing PopWiz Telstra v5.0 rom using TWRP recovery, bootloop still persists.
While trying to Factory Reset using TWRP I get some ERRORS and it reports Failed. Phone log:
Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer.
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Unable to recreate /data/media folder.
Updating partition details...

Formatting Cache using make_ext4fs...
Updating partition details...

Unable to mount storage
it keeps on repeating the same line that Philz stated in it's recovery.. unable to mount /data.
What does it mean? Also, should I Format Data? there's also an option for advanced wipe...
Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900P Bootloop FIX!!!
UPDATE!!!
Guys, I've finally managed to get this problem fixed. we can close this thread, but I'd like it to stay visible for
other people who might have the same problem.
If you have a Galaxy S5 SM-G900P (or SM-G900F/G928F) that is stuck in a bootloop, and nothing else works,
you might just get off with it by following these steps:
1. Download the latest TWRP Recovery.
(I used twrp-3.0.1-0-klte.img.tar)
2. Download CF auto root Odin3 v3.10.6 (for SM-G900F).
3. Download and install Samsung Kies or Kies 3.
(It doesn't quite matter as long as you install the built in Samsung USB phone driver that comes with it.)
4. Power off your phone completely. If needed, remove the phone cover and pop the battery out of it.
Make sure to reinsert the battery and close the cover to restore the phone's normal physical state. (optional)
5. Get your phone into Download mode by pressing and holding (both at the same time) the Volume Up, the Power and the home buttons.
(If your phone bootloops instead, repeat from step 4. If your phone booted into recovery, there might be an option to get into Download
mode through there. If not, repeat from step 4.)
6. Once in download mode, make sure to press volume up again if needed to continue.
7. Open the Task Manager and search for any process that is similar to Kies (by name and icon both).
It has an orange rectangle icon, the name might vary a bit. Make sure there is no such program running in the background.
8. Open up Odin (use admin rights if needed) and click AP.
9. Locate and chose twrp-3.0.1-0-klte.img, which you have downloaded before in step 1.
10. Connect the (original) USB cable to your phone and to your computer.
By now your phone is in Download mode, Odin 3 is open and has the twrp recovry selected in it's AP,
and a message says in Odin "added", it shows one blue rectangle in the ID:COM's tab.
11. Click on the Start button in Odin, and wait until it says Finish or Reset.
Your phone should reset now and try to boot again (which will make it bootloop). If that happens,
Power off the phone either by holding the power button for 10 seconds, or by popping the battery out
and reinserting it. Alternatively, the phone will boot into TWRP recovery. If so, skip step 12.
12. Power off your phone (if its on) and boot into recovery by pressing and holding the Volume down,
The Power and the Home buttons at the same time.
13. TWRP Recovery should boot up. Swipe right to allow modifications.
14. Tap the Wipe button.
15. Tap the Format Data button.
16. Type "yes" and confirm the format.
Done!
after rebooting your phone should boot normally with the installed firmware.
If your phone persists on bootlooping, install a custom firmware fitting your device (SM-G900P) -
There's plenty on tutorials on how to do that, and after the install boot into recovery and format data again
(Steps 12-16)
I would have posted links to all 3 files that you need (Samsung Kies, TWRP recovery, CF Odin v3.10.6) but I'm new to XDA, so I can't really post any links.
Good luck! If you guys have any questions about this, do feel free to post here or contact me personally.
G900P it is then
Pleased you got it sorted

I can flash a CF and TWRP but that's it nothing else
Tried and wiped everything (Data-Cache-System-Delvike) but in TWRP it says no OS installed
And if I restarted to system it gives me this message:
An error has occurred while updating the device software.
Use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc software
But when I do it never shows me the device and it gives me an empty space
Used Odin V3 14.4
What can I do to flash it back to stock then try to root it again please help!!!
You unlock the "OEM lock" and unlocked bootloader before you install the twrp, right?
if you can get in TWRP, format the data in wipe, reboot, choce mount ->data, if it not been mounted.
download a rom.

put the rom on a sdcard. if you dont have one, connet the phone to the pc when you in TWRP, I think you can copy the rom to the phone directly. install the rom.

If you wanne install the stock rom, download "samfirm", choce model, choce region , check the"Decrypt Automatically" box on the right, then click "Check Updates", download the rom. Use odin to install it. The Important step is format data in twrp.

Not wipe data, In " wipe" there is a "format data" option on the right, if you choce "format data", it will ask you enter "yes" to confirm, did u do that befor? I didnt see you mention that. In same cases, data will been encrypted, you cant write anything on it. format data can solve that.

Good to hear that:highfive:
I think he may removed some samsung's functions in order to make the rom lighter. he has a NfeSuperleggera®V2 "Full Stock Experience" rom, just below the light rom, maybe you can try that.
