problems installing an app after flashing? - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

found this nugget when I got this: "Unknown application error code during install: -24".... worked perfectly:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1992241

I got an endless stream of those errors when I first unlocked bootloader and installed a custom rom. What fixed it for me was installing a newer version of TWRP. I was running 2.4 before that which was very buggy from what I hear.

Ghost in the machine (phone)

I resently deleted an App from my phone, but the market still keeps trying to update it. It just sits there saying "downloading" but never does. If I try to cancel the download, the market app crashes. Is there some way to clear this? I have tried going through Root Explorer to locate were this may be stuck, but so far haven't had any luck.
Rooted Droid2 OC'd to 1.3Ghz still on 2.2 w/stock ROM
Thanks,
Scott
Which app was it? I had this problem with pandora but it went away when I switched roms.

It was called Wtfsimfd or "what the f**know should I make for dinner" I just installed it for laughs. But it seems to have cleared up now. I just finished installing the new already rooted and Deodexed.zip sbf for 2.3.2 and that fixed it.
Thanks.

I actually am experiencing this problem currently. I downloaded and installed a sleep sounds app, had it for a couple days, then uninstalled it successfully. But then I go into the market into my downloads the app is in there with a progress bar that just says installing. Its been about a month now and no matter what I do it won't go away. Rooted d2 stock rom no oc. Any suggestions?

My problem app cleared up when I did the 2.3.2 update.
Here's the link to the file and the instructions. I used the deodexed version and it worked perfectly.

A Few Issues after Flashing The 1.1 Uodate

I have followed all the directions and updated to the pre rooted 1.1 update with no issues. I have noticed that some of my music isn't playing. Slingplayer isn't working anyone. I just tried to play Jewellust and it says "EMULATOR ISN'T SUPORTED". I am just wondering ifhis is a result of flashing the pre rooted file or just the update......,

Got my vega

Finally got my vega today should i install modded stock before in instal cyanogen or should i just install cyanogen can someone point me in correct direction to tutorials please
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Go with the moddedstock as that has clockwork pre built and from there you can flash cyanogen or vegacomb etc using the clockwork recovery.
But first make sure you have the drivers sorted.
For a guide to flashing the moddedstock and driver installation see myadventvega.co.uk. For using clockwork then search xda and you will find multiple threads and replies explaining the steps.
Im cool with clockwrk etc as my hd is rooted. Iv downloaded modded stock and installed drivers from site is there a tut on flashing modded stock?

Super user gone crazy

Hello!
I'm on 0923 cm nightly, bit SU keeps asking confirm for apps requesting root permission.
I have already fully wiped the phone before flashing the ROM.
Any idea?

This came up on the ns4g cm thread, and somebody suggested uninstalling superuser through titanium and installing supersu from the market. I couldn't find superuser in titanium to uninstall, but after installing supersu I stopped getting the constant notifications.

Had the same problem yesterday! Superuser went crazy and gave me a "Shell has been granted superuser permissions" prompt every two seconds or so until a restart. I downloaded SuperSU, but couldn't find a way to uninstall Superuser through Titanium (couldn't find it...) so I uninstalled SuperSU and updated the binaries on Superuser and have been fine since then, fingers crossed...
Running Rooted stock rom...

Also just flashed cm10 0923 nightly and having the same problem.
Found that tapping "Allow" about 3-5 times seems to work - though that's barely a solution!
And can't find the old SU in Ti to revert / restore...
--------------------
Now trying SuperSU from Chainfire off Play to see what that'll do.
Others' reviews seem promising...
--------------------
Solved. Still have to tap "Allow" through the old SU to get the new SU in place,
but after that everything seems just fine.
I had the same issue so I downloaded the SU
http://downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip
boot phone into recovery
install nightly
flash superuser
reboot
how about flashing recently cm? i have that issue too but solve by flashing other rom

7.4.6 and 2nd Bootloader

If I'm running stock 7.4.6, is it safe for me to fastboot flash the "freedom boot" from HashCode even though it is for 7.4.3? I would imagine you can, but I'm just being cautious.
It will work, though I would advise putting the ROM you want to flash onto the sdcard before rebooting into twrp, I heard that the latest os detects twrp and won't boot up, so you have to downgrade or flash a custom ROM after you reboot into twrp. I thought that was what the 7.4.3 freedom boot fixed, but because of me seeing a few people with the same problem I would advise putting the ROM you want to flash on first. Just a heads up.

Would «Kinology» work????
Yes, I did it Saturday from 7.2.1,
It should work the same, make sure you have a ROM already on the sd card, I didn't and tarp wound up in a recovery boot loop, fixable but a nuisance
