Loyal Galaxy 10.1 Tab fan ready to jump ship - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

I used to love my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tab, but lately its limitations are becoming very annoying.
Recently, I purchased a Panasonic Lumix GH3 camera, which features WiFi. On my tablet I downloaded a Lumix Link app, which is supposed to let you operate the GH3 remotely on your tab. I have the same app on my iPod, and it works beautifully, but it won't work at all on my 10.1 Tab.
The GH3 camera shows up on the Tab's Wifi list, but it won't connect.
Also, I just purchased a bluetooth speaker, which I had hoped to use with my Tab while watching movies and videos. The Tab will not connect with the speaker. However, again, the speaker connects with my iPod Touch flawlessly.
The fact that Samsung will no longer update my 10.1 Tab doesn't make me happy, either. (Yes, my Tab is not rooted.)
I think it may be time to switch to a new tablet.

Or root it and run 4.3 like the rest of us.

+1 ....root it..then flash it like you stole it...

I have an original 10.1 VZW and I've never had a problem with BT running any version of Android from Honeycomb to Jellybean 4.2.2. I love my BT speakers since I've never been impressed with the volume level of the Tablet.

Got another evo...

But it's not the 3d.
I got the evo view tablet instead. I was 1 of 2 people in the sprint store this morning who was there for the evo view and not the 3d. Honeycomb should be available for this tab by the end of this year but until then it runs plenty fast enough for what it would be used for. After playing with it for the past 5 hours I went to take a call on my evo and I literally said "Holy sh** my evo got smaller". I'm liking it and that's all that matters.

Nice! Root it and then Honeycomb it.
Is it really just like the iPad was to the iPhone? A bigger one that can't make phone calls (without skype)?
Yeah its just like an overgrown evo lol.....
It doesn't make calls but my tablet has its own number so I can send/receive sms/mms.
The s-off flyer (evo view without 4g) was modded to make phone calls from it. Unfortunately there is no root method for these tabs...yet.
I'm still playing with it and I'm thinking of turning my evo into a bare-bones phone (sms/mms/phone calls) and use my tab for everything else (e/gmail, facebook, movies, etc.).
I added a 32GB sdcard to it and total storage space is around 59GB (minus the space for android).
For me it's worth the money. For others they would probably say other tablets are better but the thing is this is what I want not what anybody else wants.
I'd get this if there were a hack to enable calls via bluetooth.

Official Google app with a screenshot of a Nexus S 4G, clearly labeled as 4G and running on Sprint, running Android v4.0! Although the date is 10/26/11 so I guess they've really been working on it for all of this time...
Yeah, and they still can't get it to work. That is just sad. You would think that they would have had the foresight to make sure ICS could work on their other Nexus devices instead of strictly designing it for the Galaxy Nexus. You know there is a problem when the programmer of the OS can not get it to work on devices that were designed to their own strict specifications. Think of what the OEM's have to go through to get this crap to work.

Of course they've been working on it. There were leaked shots before the Galaxy Nexus came out with a Nexus S running a version of ICS. It doesn't happen over night.
I know, but at least this time it's an official screenshot that wasn't leaked! I'm just really excited! Surely it'll come out before the end of March! I was hoping before March, but I installed the leaked build anyway, so I'm good for a while! ;p

Mass Effect For Android IS AWESOME!

New GN Member

Hi all,
I just got my Galaxy Note 10.1 yesterday, yes I know I am a little late to the game, but can you blame me...wow does this thing cost alot. Well I actually work in the wireless industry as an Analysis and also do alot of design/illustrations on the side. I have been rooting phones on the Android side since the G2/HD2 days, before then was sad to say it.....an Apple Fan boy. Thankfully the G2 saved my life
Anyways, if you devs out there ever need any banners or other graphic design/art let me know, always glad to help out with the talents that I have.
As far as the GNote goes, I bought it mainly to be a On the Go Drawing device with AutoDesk Sketchbook Pro which so far it meets my standards and i'm just loving it. Surprised with all the bad reviews out in the web with this device, honestly its most likely TouchWiz thats the sole fault on those.
Well, enough from me...see ya all in the forums.
Syn.
Nice of you to offer up your services

Some people find the full size pen having better pressure sensitivity and are better overall when doing serious sketching, at $20 you might want to try it out!

Great find.
Anyone know if there are any kernels that will take voodoo sound available for the at&t tab 2 10.1?
It was brilliant on the captivate and infuse. I still use the Infuse as a media player I like it so much.
Thanks
