Touch the ok button.

It's not possible to turn that off on the stock ROM. There are some custom ROMs having that feature though.

Settings>Sound>Safe Headset Volume.

Xposed Framework + ModaCo toolkit lets you turn that off.

Nope. Don't think you can change it with the stock rom.

Speaker crackles when I unlock device?

Whenever I open my folio style case and slide to unlock I get a crackly noise from the speaker. If I then lock and unlock my device no sound. If I leave it a while then unlock it I get the crackle again.
Any suggestions or fixes?
Wondering if magnet on my case could be doing something?
Do kernels effect audio in any way?

I've had the crackling sound as well and it definitely isn't the unlock sound since I have that turned off, I've had it happen on a few different kernels.
I remember having this issue on Trinity, Moved to Franco Kernel and i havent heard it since.
What could be causing it then? If it is the kernel?

i get that crackle too about 70% of the time when I wake up my N7. I have the unlock sound disabled. The crackle appears at the first sound the N7 makes (for me its after I unlock it and start typing in an app since I have the typrewriter/keypress sound active).

Just go franco.Kernel. His app is free now so there are no more excuses.

There never were any excuses... you can flash via fast boot or flash GUI. As well as use a root explorer to tweak the sysfs.

I'm on Franco now.
If I flash with his tool should I then boot into recovery and clear caches and reboot?
So I then get android updating?

Is anything wrong.... if not then no.. wiping caches does nothing honestly. It rebuilds anyways.

I don't think so. Its not as snappy as motley with jays tweak but the battery life and speaker crack was starting to grate.
Thanks for help

Oh I see... In CM10 builds I guess there is such an option... I don't think stock's supposed to do that... maybe had other mods which messed up your keymaps...

You can go to Settings>Sound and disable "Safe headset volume" or find something else at Sound that might cause it, I can't tell you exactly because i don't have the phone myself.
No such options on stock rom any other suggestions ?

I also want to know how to disable this annoying pop up, worst thing is you absolutely need to press ok to crank up the volume.... I hate it!!

Isn't this a European law of some kind or are you guys in the USA? If you go deaf Google can't be sued if they warned you...

I've noticed the custom ROMS are adding this option to disable to there settings menu but I still can't find instructions or a mod to kill this in stock.

Volume hack?

Any way to turn off the annoying "are u sure u want to turn up the volume loud" notification?
Never seen that, where did you find it?
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Premium HD app
The hack? Haven't found
The problem happens every time you turn the volume up to the max
Doesn't happen with my N10, just on the volume button or are you using something else?

Can't be just mine. I've had 2 and they do the same thing
When you try to max volume, it doesn't ask if you're sure?

Are you on a custom ROM? Stock ROM doesn't have that notification.
Does it on stock and custom roms
Let me go screenshot
It is only when you have something plugged into headphone jack... Its a safety thing from Google...
+1
I hate this features, While playing games or browsing the internet i like to listen to music and sometimes i have to put the volume up or down for the songs i like and it gets annoying. I Flashed a Custom rom couple of days ago and it had a option where i could disable it, Don't know which rom it was but i guess it should be Paranoid (Latest) but i'm not sure.
Can't wait for the next version of android.

[Q] Sprint S4 Speaker Volume Increase Program / Mod??

Have googled and searched here and while I can find some volume tweaks, I have found nothing that works with the sprint S4. My hearing sucks and even with hearing aids it is sometimes a stretch.
Does anyone know of any program or mod that will actually work on the rear speaker? Viper for Android appears to only work on headphones or audio output?
Thanks in advance
Thanks to jovy23 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293133 ...it increases stock volume, if you cant hear it after this you have a problem...lol...
Just flash in recovery
