was installing kt kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297379
I first installed cm10.2 was working fine.
after that i flahed the Touchwiz JELLYBEAN 4.3 VERSION... so when my phone booted it failed all the time.
after i saw the mistake i tried to flash AOSP JELLYBEAN 4.3 VERSION. Now when its done booting and should pop up the sim unlock it just reboots...

Steps to follow before flashing a new rom

Hey guys, im currently on paranoid android and want to try the xenon hd rom, i read it's recommended to do a full wipe before installing a rom if your running a different rom. Is there any steps I have to do other than a reset, flashing the rom and the gapps, plus the wiping of the cache and the delvik cache?
Regards.

its always recommended to make a backup(nandroid) of your current rom before flashing anything, just in case. backup, wipe data, flash the rom, flash the gapps or kernel if needed, reboot and profit. you dont have to wipe the dalvik/cache because when you flash a rom it automatically wipes it anyways.
One little thing to add to what simms wrote, whether it's recommended or not in the corresponding thread, when you move from one rom to another a full wipe should be a golden rule.

Omega rom upgrading questions

I have couple questions about upgrading omega rom.
1. Should I do factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik when upgrading from 9 to 10?
2. Why should we flash modem seperate than rom ?
3. Which kernel will be included in omega 10?

Its up to you, you can try a "dirty" flash and not wipe and see how it goes, If there are problems then do a wipe.... If you don't want to set up your phone again then make sure you have a nandroid backup and stay on the older version.
Some people need a different modem because their reception is no good with the new modem or it causes battery drain. This would be the reason you would flash a new modem. Easier to leave a lone and see what happens, you can flash a modem.bin file later if needed through ODIN or, my preference, Mobile ODIN....
Read the changelog in the thread to see what kernel is included...
1. Should I do factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik when upgrading from 9 to 10?
You should full wipe when flashing a new rom, but wiping cache and dalvik cache will wokr fine too
2. Why should we flash modem seperate than rom ?
Because each modem works different from other in your region
3. Which kernel will be included in omega 10?
Modified kernel based on stock one
U don't need to do a factory reset specially upgrading from 9 to 10 cause both 9/10 are 4.2.2 based Roms and moreover they are from the same developer.... As for wipe/dalvic cache, the installer does it itself...
Simply go into recovery and flash the file... U should be good to go...
Good luck!

Try Faux kernel, WiFi worked for me using his kernel. MDX is then one I used when I was on that rom and had no WiFi issues.
Jfltespr/CM10.1-Skank 7-28/CM kernel
I would back your apps/data up and format /system, then reinstall the ROM and kernel. Don't forget to clear dalvik cache. Did you install the ROM over an AOSP one?

[Q] Bootloop with Kernel

Hi everyone,
I have an odd issue with my Nexus 7.
I have first used the Toolkit to make a clean update to 4.4.2. KOT49H.
Then I installed Purity Rom and PA Gapps, everything worked.
But when I tried to install a new Kernel (Oxydo or Faux123), I have a bootloop just after it.
I tried to wipe at differents stages, different roms, I tried the install in different orders but at the end, the only way is too wipe system or factory reset and then reinstall the custom Rom. I guess it works again because Purity has a proper kernel ?
I use TWRP v2.6.3.1.
Thanks.
Have you tried using the lean kernel?? I had issues with purity using m-kernel. I then switched to lean. I'm guessing with the minimalistic nature of lean kernel I didn't cause any problems with the system. Overclocked to 1500 using interactive governor.

Oxydo kernel has some issues right now. Are you installing the v2 of the kernel?
