i instaled hyperdroid_cm7_sandyscorpion_v6.0.0_clk_magldr_aroma_signed_0b982 rom
after that i found every thins is small like that the rom is for tablet android
not just the font , it is the dock and icons and the dock which is up
but i downloaded it from hd2 forum so can any one tell me :
how to make every thing some bigger ?
because i cant see ^^

Find a build.prop editor, and edit the line that says lcd_density. You will find it somewhere around 180 or 160 .. 220 is default. The bigger the number, the larger things are on your screen.
Google "how to edit build.prop android".

ok, no idea when this started since i don't post much via HTC, but last time i actually tried, the screenshot below is what i got when typing text....it appears on some sites, not all, and when i input my username/pass, everything is normal....posting isn't :/
text comes out normal after i post it, but there's no way to know what i actually wrote until i post :/
it's extremely annoying, halp me
rom is Dutty 3.9 manila 2.0, but same thing happened when i flashed down to 3.7, hard resetting also didn't change anything :/ obviously i'll post in that thread (again), but was ignored twice, so i'm also doing this :/
i use MyPhone to backup contacts/messages and TTL Commander to copy/paste a copy of opera9.adr to restore my net favorites :/

This maybe unrelated but those characters look like Wingdings font perhaps when your on some sites it changes your Tacoma font to these, just maybe its the prob have a look in Menu/Format/fonts see if the font selected has changed

the screenshot looks like a word document try going into mobile word menu should be on bottom right, Im only guessing at this fix, if you can give me more details on what steps you take
what site you went to did you go on with Opera or explorer etc I will do the same and see if i can help

the first screenshot is definitely wingdings font Im not sure why this happens in normal typing it is usually changed only in a word document,
Try this first open word, new file then look at your options, format, font.
or tey changing the keyboard from Qerty to any other keyboard see if the font changes.
If not search for font issues maybe someone else knows i will also search see what i can find
you could also type opera:config into your opera browser and see what font is used i see a few problems with opera too with this font so your not the only one.
look at css fonts and also font see what it says mine say tahoma
weee, that did it, under Fonts Font.Text and PRE was Wingdings for some reason

Well, I'd suggest once all the shortcuts are properly done, backup those reg entries.. then next time, it would just be importing the reg file after a hard reset.
Anybody can upload the default reg entry or provide the links to Settings and Home (TF3D). I forgot where I backed them up and I removed them previously.
I can give you the settings, since I deleted the home shortcut!

Though I don't understand why the default display name must be so complex.
Why can't they put Settings instead of [[IDS_SETTINGSTITLE] ?
adding paths manually is painful especially when you need to move them around for any reason.. what about a little config utility to do this easily? it would be nice also to have only the needed rows.. I mean, 50 might bee too much, and using the above mentioned config app might set 33, 36, 39, 42, 45 etc depending on my needs..
hope it's clear enough for you to understand my hint

I'm planning to do an app like the one you ask for. If i get a few hours spare time after my scheduled two day trip I will create and post the app here.

I entered the settings button back as per the previous post and my touch flow is kinda toast. I checked my typing and it seems ok but I did look for the icon file and don't see an HTC folder in the windows folder???
if that is true then the \windows\htc\assets\... will not work

It is for multilingual purposes. manila will load the name according to your device system/manila current language.
The following registry files will extend the number of programs to 48 (or 64 in the case of the second file). All the new entries can be edited directly from the programs tab. No additional messing around in the registry is required.
Reg files don't work for me...I had tried the same thing earlier by manually editting the registry without success. But I thought I would give it one more try. Really stupid that we can't have more than 30 items...

Interesting. I am using EnergyROM Photon on my phone with Manila 2.1. Perhaps the fix only works with certain versions of Manila.
doesnt work me either... stock tmous rom, i get the additional slots, but when i add there is nothing there... any thoughts? if not do u have a way to revert to previous setting?
I'm not sure if this really fixes the problem since I'm still testing it (so far, so good).
Since I've started using a new ROM I've had the lag problem, but today I've followed a sugestion, replacing the "eT9ime.dll" file by the one from the PTG stock 1.66 ROM, wich never gave me problems (and has a better T9 behaviour for me, that was why I've used it).

So, try to replace "eT9ime.dll" in the Windows directory by the one attached here. This worked nicely on mine (using latest Artemis ROM), but I can't guarantee it would be the same for you, so you should backup the original (or you can dump it from the ROM installer later).
Don't forget to restart the device.
So, no one else tried this?

The typing lag while the messages are loading? I think it will help (dunno if it will solve the problem completely, but for me it helped).
Just try and report. Please save your important data before in case something goes wrong.

there is a entry named:
DisableCacheWhenLengthierMessage
change this value from (1) to (0).
so the cache will be enabled.
the loading lag is still there, but 70-80% less then before.
i have for example 1 conversation with 75X messages. bevore this reg-edit, the loading time was by 30-60sec before i coul´d write without typing lag.
after this tweak i cane write without typing lag in 15-20 sec. enougth time to read the message and think about it what i want write back ^_^...
still not a end solution but better than bevore.

Wow this has actually solved it for me or so it seems. Loading doesn't get in the way of typing now, I can type the same speed as when texts are fully loaded.
Definitely a tweak worth adding, thanks a lot for that. Not tried the file from the first post

i tried looking for that regkey in the registry but i dont seem to have it (in HTCMessaging)
i'm on 1.66WWE if that makes a difference?

Replacing that file gave me the stock behaviour of when I'm composing a text using T9 predictive input method I can now follow the actual written text in the message box instead of the suggested words, making it easier to enter the correctly suggested word

wait, im confused with what everyone is talking about.
does this fix the keyboard loading lag or does it fix the lag WHILE you are typing a message (example, you type a letter and it doesnt appear until 1 second later)?
And also, I dont use T9. I type every single letter out on the keyboard. would this fix be of any use for me?

Regarding the file I've posted, it helps reducing the typing lag, not loading lag... And only if you use T9.
This Reg Entry should work an any HD2 Rom.

As my eyes are pretty poor and have fat fingers, I'm looking for an app that will allow me to change the Font and icon size of my desire... I thought that option would be under accessibility settings but that's greyed out.. Email is fine as the client will increase the font, but that's no use for the rest of the phone...

I never manage to change the font size with SpareParts. If you can do it with this software please share .
But i doubt you could do that since Desire is not fully rooted (no rw /system, etc....).
And if my memory is ok i remenber of bug report about Android concerning the font size..

Well i found the thread concerning this bug report it is here. I don't want to discourage you but the thread started on Nov 06, 2009 and the last message was...yesterday ....and still no solution
Another way to change size of font (not really the size of the font) is playing with "build.prop" in /system and changing the "ro.sf.lcd_density" (by defaylt 240 on WVGA..210 is good value but fonts are more little. Maybe increasing the value may let you have bigger fonts).

at last I found a solution that works (for me anyway)
I downloaded an app called font changer and picked a font called chinese cat, it's a little bit cartoonish but it's a fair trade off as all the system fonts are just that little bit bigger and easy for me to read now

nobody got any answers if you use a a lcd density app it changes size but if you reboot your phone it goes back to normal size nobody know any file i can change to make this permanent
Edit the build.prop and add qemu.sf.lcd_density=220 or whatever you want to use.
