4.3 Stock Camera [PROBLEM] - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

My Samsung Galaxy S4 is running Google's Android 4.3 version.
When I'm in the camera application pictures seem to be in a 16:9 format.
As soon as I go to view the pictures I toke in the gallery they are in the 4:3 format.
I headed to the camera application and searched for the 16:9 format setting and it wasn't there.
So I tried changing the camera's megapixel settings but it didn't change the square shaped 4:3 pictures.
So what I'm trying to get is simple 16:9 images...
Can anyone help me with this please?

Help requested...
Please note that I'm currently still experiencing this problem...
Any help/suggestion offered is strongly appreciated, thank you.

I would redownload the camera APk. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2420982
Or use the moto x camera apk
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44009561
Doesn't have to be rooted it'll install just like any normal apk. I use the touch wiz camera

I'm sorry man. I mean I hate to tell you this but try reinstalling GE if not see who else has it in their phones and see if they're experiencing the same issue also. I'd say look through the GE threads. Too many forums to read at the moment I'd help you more if I could.

Stock gs2 gallery app is fast but isn't smooth

As far as I know I haven't seen anyone post anything concerning this. I used the nexus one before coming to gs2 and it's gallery was smooth. Is there anyway to fix this? Or is it just me.

My gallery works great. You might try going to settings, applications, all, gallery, then clear data. This should just clear the thumbnails. The OS should rebuild the database for the gallery the next time you use it, but after that it should be smooth.
I would recommend backing up all of your photos first, just in case this deletes all of your photos instead of just the thumbnails
Use quickpic
Don't worry, it's due to get replaced soon
It can be ROM problem, for example in Skarbnic ROM the thumbnails are blurred a bit.

Stock sgs3 gallery app sucks

Anyone else notice....it seperates the pictures all over the place inside the app. Anyway i can move them around into proper spots. Example, it has all my dled pics in three different downloaded folders...i just need one.
totally agree.
cant wait to root so i can get the stock ics gallery back
agreed! Looks cluttered and ugly. Are there any recommended apps to use in place of it?
I personally use tsf gallery widget, more cool! And fun!

On that note, does anybody else notice the images don't rotate when you select the View>Change screen orientation>By Orientation sensor... I only get rotation when I have the main rotation set in the OS
Quikpic is by far the best image app.
I use Sony's album app. I think its the best

Quick pic doesn't plug into Picasa either.
I have tried to push several gallery apps and they all have the same look, I really hate the stock SG3 gallery app, what I would like is to have the same look as the gallery 3d version. I have tried quick pic, and its nice but I don't like the new look I really enjoyed the old 3d look. Anyone have any luck trying to get it installed, I can't get the gallery 3d apk to install. Thanks for the help
This thread delivers! Both of these recommendations are lightyears better than the included gallery. Thanks. Never really knew that I had such a problem with the gallery.

Where's the Popup Browser?

This was one of the most useful apps on the Note II, where'd it go? There's a couple of installable apks from the GS2/3 forums here and here, but I haven't found out how to resize the window. How to modify that one for 1920x1080?
It'll come.

Unfortunately that's the one used in Note 2 (1280 x 720) - and although it works fine it's not re-sizable (well...it is, but it's not the proper resolution and therefore it's not re-sizing properly)
Hopefully someone will be able to change the resolution. I'm also missing it!!

Camera working nice on cm11

As u guys are concernd abt d camera quality on cm11 .. I have found a solution .... Just download the app named focal(beta) from play store ... It works very good and fine than the default camera ...

Its worlds most buggy camera as far as i have downloaded it 5times for me
developers are like gods
For Me, Stock Camera is better. Focal is still in beta and buggy. Hope the dev team will fix that soon.
Focal used to be included on JellyBean CMs. It's buggy as hell.
Besides default CM11 camera is good enough, with quality almost matching Samsung's camera... the only downside is the slow camera preview.

[REQ] Android Kitkat Camera in LG G2 [no root]

Hello guys,
I am new here so wanted to know if there is a working Android Kitkat Camera APK for a non root LG G2.
Photosphere in LG G2 Stock Camera is not that good for me and I wanted to make use of the Camera app used by Nexus 5.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, i'd appreciate it.
Thanks,

Similar question except on ROOTED phone.
I'm running AOKP Nightly from 2/8/14, but the camera options only let me adjust to 8MP which seems kind of a waste on a 13MP camera. Any suggestions on fixing this (app or instructions on flashing apk)?
Thanks in advance
