After rooting the device with Super Boot as "That-Guy" at Modaco forums said, the view of the camera started to show upside down. Also some color changes occured like brown appears as blue and etc.
Apart from this there weren't any problems and the rooting was successful and I could mount as r/w in /system/ and /etc/ folders.
Because of the camera problem I returned to the original boot.img file and installed z4root app. Everything seemed alrignt at the beginning but then I found that I could not mount as r/w in /system/ or /etc/ folders.
The device has the stock rom prepared for Turkey which is b136 sp02 and the Android version is 2.2.1.
Anyone has an idea about the solution for this?
same problem with me, but after rooting i replace the boot.img and recovery.img with the original then voila.... it back normal again
I rooted mine with GingerBreak. That didn't make my camera reversed.

I don't think rooting has anything to do with creating camera problem.
Do you mean your all images comes reverse ? Is it only during taking snap for preview ?
I am currently using MIUI latest build and in that as well, CAMERA snapshot preview comes reverse, but image is O.K. But this has been acknowledged by developer and for me it is not an issue at all. Also video recording is perfectly fine.

After flashing the factory image to my device i found that i cannot copy my old camera photos into the DCIM folder. I am on build KOT49H 4.4.2. I cant do this on any of my PC's. 2 of them are running windows 8.1 and the other windows 7 ultimate. Could this be a bug in the android firmware? Can anyone else reproduce this? It does seem to copy some photos but then stops and i get a FC. Ive tried both MTP and PTP with the same results. Im just trying to rule out a hardware malfunction. Any help is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: The photos im trying to copy in there are the ones i had prior to flashing the factory image.

Same thing here. I'm running Windows 8.
Went to copy some photos and it copies like half of them or 3/4 of them and then it freezes. If you copy your images individually it'll work, thankfully I don't have a ton of them so I just did it that way, but it'd probably be really annoying if you have a lot of pictures and not even work it.

Same here. I have the problem since 4.2.2 (Stock, CM etc.) on Windows 8.1
And my file transfer is since 4.2 much slower than normal. Very annoying.

Thanks a bunch! So glad its not just my device. I tried fully wiping and reflashing the factory image but the bug is still there.

Got the phone today. I noticed one thing that the capture during video functionality wasn't working at all.
I have a Redmi 1S as well. When i compared, the capture button during the video doesn't show up at all. Both for the rear and front cameras.
I am recording the videos at 1080p for both the cameras. Tried 720p as well. The issue persists. Please help.

There's a Update to that version already available on official site, as well on the OTA.
go to settings and about, then run system update when on WI-FI, and it would give you a update named
"miui_H3WGlobal_JHDMIBH38.0_59e44d8bab_4.2" of 555MB to download.
The file would be downloaded to phone memory under folder "downloaded_rom" and make sure you copy this ZIP file to PC
as after installation this file will get self destructed, so if you have a friend whom you wish to share this update you must copy it to PC.
or if you mess with something later, this ROM update would let you restore your phone.
You can install it from system update by touching the option button and chose "select update package" browse for this downloaded file and phone would reboot to complete the update.
Once done, you would certainly see improvement in phone working and more RAM would be available for apps etc.
However real fun of using this would start when this phone gets updated to any of the kitkat/CM12/Lollipop versions.
Hello dear Nexus users,
I took 2 pictures with the phone using flash and then it froze and restarted. It's my fault because I was using a beta kernel of Faux. But I remember happening even with default one. The thing is that I don't know a way to restore the files. On the phone the pictures are showing each around 2mb but I can't copy them and if I try to attach them via Drive it will upload the file empty. Is there any hope? The 2nd photo I understand that I lost it because it froze to it but the first one?Thank you!
So, I was searching trough the internet and I found a way to activate the functions of selfie focus and stickers on the J5 2016, but it seems that the camera doesn't recognize the face , being unusable both of the functions, and I think that it's a simple fixable problem. So I came here to ask for help if someone who knows how to fix it can get it usable.
What I did:
I put these files in the same directory as they are. I deleted all the original files and replaced them for these.
(this is not a flashable zip)
