some day ago i broke my screen, then i bought a new one and replaced it. Only at the end i saw that my old touch screen was synaptics and the new one was Atmel. My old touch screen doesn't work anymore and even the new one doesn't work.
On my phone there is installed slimbean 7.2 probably without Atmel drivers; if i install a stock rom, will my touch screen work? if not, how can i do?

I have SPV M3100 and few months ago I broke my display so I bought new one from ebay

and there is not working touch panel after I replaced it.
Display is working fine, but when I tried to use stylus, touch panel didn´t response.
Could you please help me, where should be problem?
Check the connections of the flex cable, found out the hard way that it has to be just right or it may not work.
Test it before putting all back together so you can experiment.

Check if the cable is connected properly, it can come out easily.
The drivers are included in the kernel, so you will have both drivers installed automatically.

i checked the cable and it was disconnected, probably when i closed the phone it disconnected. Thanks for your advice
Hi i changed my board for one of another g2. This g2 leave to response the touch panel 1 week after to install the rom cloudy g2 2.2. This toch panel has little unstuck because some months ago it got wet in the corner, but never have problems. Since i installed the cludy rom started to gradual leave to response.
Now after to panel not work i decided to put the board in other lg g2 with working screen but bad board.
I have a dude. If i to flash again this board with the other screen, can to leave to response again?. Is problem generated for board or scrren?. Seems thar the original screen of board was be JID type, and now is LGDI..
Anyone have the same problem??

So I bought a HD2 with bad touch screen. The issue was the very common one that every one knows, red button that was poking into the touch screen flex cable. I opened up the phone and fixed the issue and touch screen was working perfectly fine. In the process, unfortunately, I chipped a little edge of the front glass/digitizer. It was not a big deal as phone was still working fine. But I decided to buy a new front glass.
When my new front glass arrived, I separated the digitizer/front glass from LCD, but then half of my LCD got corrupted. So I ended up buying an LCD too!!!
Now comes the issue: when I put the phone together, touch screen doesn't work at all. I have tried all combinations of NEW / OLD digitizer and NEW / OLD lcd. Nothing works. I wonder if anyone can help me figure out why?
P.S. When testing, I happened to connect the phone to my 5w wall charger directly connecting it to power pins (without battery installed). Would that be why I lost touch? Is the touch issue now because of motherboard that was directly connected to adapter, not getting power from its designated battery?
have you tried the old lcd with old digitizer (which was working)?
tried it before replacing?
did you made some change to the software before replacing?
I currently have this problem too while trying to revive my old- almost 3 years inactive- HD2 with new touchscreen, and still trying to figure out where is the problem

Yes I had tried the old LCD, and that didn't work either.
I installed a WiFi Keyboard on it.
Did you resolve this issue?

I wanted to ask you all that are you able to use the roms properly without touch issues that are compiled with kernel 4.9 ?
i got my screen replaced in the market so help me are people who are not having screen replacement done ! are you facing the same issue like your touch become unresponsive after locking the phone ?
its just because of your Touchscreen replacement other then there is no touch issue on original touchscreen i used roms with 4.9kernel and they works fine no issue of touchscreen
