I ask this in theme area and ppl think it might be a dev thing. I'm wondering if its possible to change ur signal bars over to use the 6 bars with correct readings. I am able to change icon names to get DI to use them but only 5 bars including no signal to work.

It seems that the status bar shows 3G full bars, then changes go no bars, then to H, back to 3G two bars etc. This is causing calls to drop and chatter.
I can set it to 2G only and is stable for calls but data is very slow. 2-300kbs.
Any ideas.
So i've flashed to 4.4 like everyone else.
Since leaving the house this morning I have no mobile data.
I can call and text but no data.
I just get the white signal bars but also when looking at the settings on the swipe down the signal bars are orange.
I am going to re-flash later and do some research but just wondering if anyone has any ideas.

The Mobile internet indicator sign never on H+ only in rom.
I check in other rom and in theme the Mobile internet indicator sign there was on H+.
What to do?
Aosp doesn't have H+ in the code. Only H. It represents the same thing.

Sprint does this thing where they display "3G" even when the phone is only connected using 1xRTT.
Does anyone know if there's a way to make the phone show 1x for 1xRTT and 3G for EVDO and eHRPD? There's a big difference between 1x and EVDO (60-130Kbps vs 750-1800Kbps) where I live and it'd be nice to know at a glance without having to open Settings->About->Status->SIM Status
Signal check will show what band/ connection type in status bar.
This Signal Check? Is that a pro-only feature? I'm not seeing anything about status bar in the Lite version of that app.
An app running in the background is ok, but I'm really more interested in something like flashing a new icon or changing a hidden setting or something. I'm currently on stock rom, but would changing ROMs fix the icon?

I found the free version of LTE Discovery can also do this, it just doesn't start on bootup.
