I only receive sound from the left ear. I've tried cleaning the lint multiple times, but I don't think that's it. I think the headphone jack is damaged.
Does anyone know if I can replace just the jack? I really can't find anything on the Razr M :/
Quick question: did you try more then one set of headphones?

Unfortunately, I tried multiple headphones.
The head phone jack looks the same as the RAZR and the droid 4 as far as replacement parts (from what I can see in the video)... My wife's having an issue where calls through the earpiece are hard to hear. You can hear an ambient sort of noise which sounds like its at normal volume but callers on the other end sound very quiet. She has resorted to putting every call on speaker to hear. Her mt4g is stock, non-modified/rooted. Any idea what the problem could be, or what I could try fix it? I tried searching, but the search on the mobile app isn't as easy to use as the full site.

Well this should be in Q&A but it sounds like hardware. Has she dropped in water or any other liquid? If not and you bought from tmo you should have a warranty to cover a replacement

I bought it 2nd hand a month ago, so no chance of warranty replacement through tmo. Was hoping there'd be a fix available without having to wipe the phone. The water indicator is still white and there doesn't seem to be any physical damage.

Most of my headphones dont work with this case, the only ones that work are some cheapos that I have that sucks lol, I was told to find online some small adapter for it in amazon, anyone found it and can link it to me please?
P.s I really like this case but im a daily headphones user.

Hey I also have this case and Another option is to grab a set of Bluetooth headphones... I use the LG tones the battery lasts me thru the whole day of constant streaming of iheart... They hang around ur neck and u can put the ear buds in when u wanna use em... Can usually find them for around $50 or so

Yeah that is a good option but ive got studio headsets that I'd like to use and also for my work I gotta have earpods cuz I gotta have one ear free to hear

My skull candy ear buds that I bought at an airport fit perfectly in there. The headphones I use at work didn't fit so I got out a pair off scissors and shaved the plug down cutting off some of the rubber sheath and made it fit.
All of my extra micro usb cables didn't fit either so I filed them down until they did too.

Today I am picking up my new gs4 from the warranty center due to headphone jack problems. I was wondering if I will still be able to root and use the loki kernel exploit? Or just deal with the damn problems? Anyone have any idea. I know they are re manufactured mobos so I dont think they would have patched anything but im not willing to take a chance any info would be greatly appreciated.

If the new phone has AMDB or AMDL firmware (AT&T) you should be OK.

Hopefully my monster headphones wont pop and crack after turning the volume passed 7.... the original samsung headphones have no issues whatsoever. Its just my expensive ones like klipchs and monster that seem to pop andvcrack at high volune when they work flawlessly on other devices... doesvanyone know which headphones with the 3 buttons are compatable with the gs4. So far volume controls refuse to work on monster dna earbuds and klipsch s4i headphones. Is there a certain ohm or impedance the gs4 uses. Never had this problem with my atrix... a compatable list of 3 button headphones would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone, so today while walking home, I noticed that one of my headphones wasn't working and I was pretty pissed because I love my headphones, anyways, so I tried my other headphones and experienced the same problem, so I concluded my phone broke. So, I've spent about 20 minutes poking around with it and blowing air into it, and I've managed to get one side working, but the other side isn't. One thing I noticed was that the side which isn't working is the side with the mic and these headphones -do- have the 4th prong. I don't have any 3 prong headphones to test with, so I'm going to go to my friends house and test with his, but does anyone know how to fix this because I love my four-prong headphones because the clicker and they're just awesome. Thanks, all help is appreciated.

2. Who do I call/email to get an RMA
3. Are RMA'd phones bad/do they have any problems? One thing I like, don't know if this makes a difference, but in the CPU bin, my phone is "fastest". Don't know if that actually means anything, so yeah.

What do you mean one side of the headphone jack stopped working? You only have one headphone jack.
You have to call Google to request a RMA. I don't think the phone you get will be a defect. That would be counter productive. The CPU bin won't matter. They most likely won't check to see what CPU bin on the phone that will be replaced for you. You should factory reset your phone before sending it in. They might give you a new phone/refurbished device.

It sure doesn't sound like it's the headphone jack. It sounds like the headphones are broken.
Have you tried a different set of headphones?

This exact problem happened to me as well, Not so long ago...
Maybe about a week ago at most. My left ear cup is gone but my right ear cup is still working perfectly.
I think it's the contact between the jack and the plug. I'm sending it in next week for a replacement.
I've had my N4 for 9 months until this happened lol

You have a Google Nexus 4 why not just search google for their number... LOL The phone is under warranty for a year so check when you got it or they will let you know when you speak to them but its not like the new one is expensive at all. How did you get the phone through web or off somebody
Call Google if you bought from Google or call LG if bought from somewhere else(i.e. T-Mobile). And when i was on the phone with Google a week or so ago for an RMA, they said it would most likely end up being a refurb. device.
