I have an i9505 that is rooted with Google Edition 4.3 installed.
Where can I find the original software to return the phone to original Samsung bloated state with root still in place?
Many thanks.

this will flash a stock rooted firmware on I9505 (just rooting is added to stock)
Its been a long day, and maybe I'm being a bit thick but:
I can't see a download for XXUAMDM
Do I install it the same way as any other ROM (i.e. nandroid backup, wipe, install using TWRP)?
Thanks again.

Not as far as i know, look in the OTA Helpdesk thread for how to flash OTA`s when you are rooted.
So all 4.2.1 ROMs are deleted? I found CFX ones but they don't run well and I might search for killrom
Downloading killerom seXus ... Slowest thing ever......

anyone know why??

Honestly, it should come up naturally..If it doesn't work, you can always download the stock image from Google site and flash it manually.. Just search for the name efrant in this forum, you'll get what you seek

Pretty sure you only get the update on stock rom. Are you sure the update isn't from PA?
Nope, i checked the Settings in System updates and got a message about 4.3 system update.

If I root it and use chainfires cf auto root or w.e thru Odin to install a recovery will he be good to go...will it unlock the bootloader or will I send it into a security error by flashing clockwork
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You will most likely brick it. Use Hash code's safestrap in development section
With safestrap tho can't you only flash stock ROMs?

Correct, our VZW specific Note 3 has a locked bootloader so we can't modify it aside from the stock .tar file via Odin
You want to use this method to apply the MJE update before doing anything else
Then root via Kingo, have to google it
Then install Safestrap, open it, select install recovery
Profit
Lol good luck let us know if you run into issues it's not too rough
OK thanks..man that sucks that the boot loader hasn't been unlocked yet

If he wants the full root experience, at this time his best option might be to return the phone for something else if he is within his 14-day period.
I'm not sure what else though ... The N3 is a great device. My understanding is that the camera on the HTC One isn't great, and I'm not sure what the root situation on the LG device is, nor how much developer love it will get over time.
Maybe he should leave Big Red for a different carrier... making sure they know exactly why on the way out the door.

Check in settings/ more/ about device towards the end what build you have. If you are on 4.2.2 you dont need safestrap any recovery can do. If you are on 4.4.2 its a different story you have a whole different process before you get safestrap. Safestrap use is for locked bootloaders that came after builds NB1 and NC1.
Since you are already rooted there is no use for safestrap. If you are looking to flash custom roms check the ones are compatible with your present build.

See the second post in the link. You will need safestrap if you're on mf3. But you might want to consider updating your firmware to mk2 then see the first link I gave you. That way you'll be able to flash 4.4.2 roms

So pretty much as title states.. just wanted to find out whether I'd have to re-root the phone and if I would lose LTE (I think I would lose LTE, but not sure about root)? Also, overall, is 4.4 worth upgrading to?
thanks lots!
IMHO update is definitely worth it. You'll lose root and LTE. But you can easily just reroot and flash a LTE radio.

This device is so easy to root don't worry about it. Do you have a custom recovery? If so find the update.zip. If you don't try the ota. If you've changed system files out probably won't work but if you haven't it will

i actually used to have 4.3 on this nexus, but reverted back to 4.2 because when i did it, you couldn't have LTE with 4.3.. so you saying you can flash the radio with 4.4 now?
