Honestly, it should come up naturally..If it doesn't work, you can always download the stock image from Google site and flash it manually.. Just search for the name efrant in this forum, you'll get what you seek

I only got my N4 on Tuesday and the 4.3 update appeared within minutes. Are you on WiFi, maybe that makes a difference

Pretty sure you only get the update on stock rom. Are you sure the update isn't from PA?

Nope, i checked the Settings in System updates and got a message about 4.3 system update.

What should I do to not get the OTA?

I wanna keep lte, and I have no issues with 4.2.1
Because once the ota comes the stupid notification doesn't go away
Should I root? I heard if you're rooted you don't get the OTA

If you don't have stock ROM or Kernal the update should fail - I think.
Just ignore the request to update once it comes into your phone.

you just need to reinstall the old modem once you updated to get LTE back

4.2.1 ROM needed

I need to use screencast to record my screen but it's not compatible with 4.2.2, is there any up to date ROMs with 4.2.1 as the base?

Not as far as i know, look in the OTA Helpdesk thread for how to flash OTA`s when you are rooted.
So all 4.2.1 ROMs are deleted? I found CFX ones but they don't run well and I might search for killrom
Downloading killerom seXus ... Slowest thing ever......

[Q] Nexus 4 Rom And Google Updates.

Hello guys!
This is my first post here so I'm sorry if this is not the place to ask.
I'm interested to Root and put Rom on my Nexus 4.
My question is, it is possible to have Root and Rom on Nexus 4 and still get Google updates.
Hope for an answer soon , Thanks in advance.
Not if you use a custom Rom. You would have to go back to stock to receive the update, or wait for the Rom developer to incorporate the update.

Couldn't you just use voodoo root keeper?

If I root my Nexus 4 and open the bootloader is it possible to NOT display the little lockpad on the "Google" screen when the phone boots up?

For 4.3 custom ROMs the makoz20i bootloader is not required, but the .84 radio is required.

It's recommended to upgrade to the makoz20i bootloader to be ready for KeyLimePie.
Flash the radio and bootloader first, then flash the ROM, Gapps, and SuperSU (if not included in the ROM).

Well then you've got to live with it. You can't just flash another rom and hope that the features from the previous rom will stay. It wont.
You've got 3 options :
A - Stay with PAC, wait till they update to 4.3
B - Wipe your PAC, flash PA 4.3 and live with it.
C - Compile your own rom with your own features.
If you wanna keep your APPS and APP DATA, use titanium backup.
