When did you turn it off? Because the bar in your screenshot indicates, that is was turned ON at some point...
If gps is still being used although it is turned off after a device restart (maybe there is some app misbehaving atm), the only option I could think of would be installing an app that logs which apps accessed the gps module and by doing so drained the battery. One would be "Spare Parts"

I think this answer may be useless. Apparently Spare Parts does not have that feature anymore. Sry :/ If you find another app that does, please let me know.

This was a bug in 4.2. Maybe it's still present in 4.3. Doesn't look like it's actually causing battery drain though. The "fix" is to reboot. There was a fix released in the 4.2 days but it caused other issues iirc.

Battery

Hi all! I've had my note for about a month with no problems, but last night it went flat in 11 hours of no use.... The battery use screen shows that it was the OS with nothing else running!
I have this problem too, really need to know answers!
Do u leave ur wifi, packet data, gps and Bluetooth always on? This may be the problem, just use any battery saver tools and close unnecessary hardware

packet data - dunno
gps - no
bluetooth - no
but i always have the same settings - why such a sudden drop in battery life?
Check if you are in 3G mode or 2G.... 2G save a lot battery
Im happy can reach 5 to 6 hours screen on

Installed anything just before the drain problem?
Pretty much all the problems I've had with battery drain have been traced to an app misbehaving. The battery stats info can be a bit misleading too - so don't trust that the OS itself is draining the juice... Its more likely to be some service app that doesn't show up a itself on the stats.
I've found Widget Locker a painful battery hog, for example, but it never shows up in my battery stats. Instead the Android OS, or whatever last write to the system log (log cat) show up as using all the power. Uninstalling WL always fixes the problem so I know its that app causing the drain.
Also, is that shield in your notifications bar some sort of battery saver?
If so it may be the cause not the saviour! I've read that the latest free version of Green Power tries to connect to ad-servers constantly and drains the battery double-quick. Apparently the premium version doesn't have this issue but you have to pay for it, obviously!
the issue is undoubtedly running services..you probably added an app or three that is high maintenance.
shut down and restart your phone and then without starting or using any apps, leave it overnight to get a better benchmark for battery life.
If still low, look at the running services, you may be staggered to see what amount of crap is running in the background..

how do we find what services are running?
Mine hasn't had any new apps installed and normally loses about 7 percent overnight. The shield in the pic is lookout which I've always used without a problem. I have restarted the phone so I'll see how it goes today. Its wierd because nothing has changed in use or apps so something must have hung and run it down.
I'll post any other findings!
Thanks

Galaxy S4 I9500 Battery Drain after 4.3 Update

Hi All,
I have been experiencing serious battery problems with my S4 since I have installed the 4.3 update. Normal battery drop while using the phone is as before but what is shocking is the drop in the battery percentage when it is idle, like 3-4% every half hour.
I don't keep Wi-Fi and 3G Data connection active all the time, only when needed.
I have attached the screenshot of my battery usage, where "Android OS" is always the battery hogger and the screen awake time has also increased.
I hope Samsung guys come up with a better update patch but till then any help to improve battery life would be appreciated.
PS: I don't want to do a complete factory reset.

There was another option for Wi-Fi when under sleep .. what should that be set at ?

see in the 4th pic.
the applock app is doing 20000+ counts of alarms in 5mins plus.
u should consider removing that.
u can set yr wifi when sleep to 'always'.
Android OS is too high.
are u using any location based in google settings?
please recheck and turn it off for now and see if the problem subside in 4 hours time.
another thing to note that under settings/acessibility/notification reminder, make sure to set it to off.
Problem Solved.
Ya I removed that "App Lock" app and my battery is back to normal. Guess it isn't compatible with 4.3, was working fine earlier.
And i have disabled location settings for Google apps in Google Settings app.
Notification Reminder is also ticked to off.
Thanks a Ton.

Not sure what's the ideal setting.. so I left my at "Always"
Battery life lower on 4.3
I am having the same issue but I'm not sure why because I don't have any weird notification apps installed accept dynamic notification. After reading this I suspected it to be the culprit and uninstalled it to check.
My phone is exactly the same except for 4.3 update and with the same use as every other day I got 4-5 hours less battery life.

EntriesRefresh_wakelock is usually the wakelocks created by Google Now app.
It's running most of the time to keep u updated with the cards u have chose(stocks, weather, traffic, etc).
U can stop them in the Google Now settings to minimise the wakelocks.

[Q] Note 3 Battery Drain - Android OS

I have tried to disable everything and even did a hard reset while disabling all unnecessary "functions" that samsung and google adds, but still when using the phone with screen on and just browsing reddit Android OS is above Screen and all other apps. While the phone is off it never hits deep sleep and is usually 90% awake.
I have disabled Samsung Push Service, but haven't seen any improvement. I have disabled Location Services and all the other stuff suggested in other threads with no luck.
I have attached AlarmManager.txt since that's what other people suggest, but I cannot understand how to properly read the file.
If anyone can help me fix this battery drain, it would help me a lot. Thanks.
Try wakelock detector to see which app/process is puling down the battery power.
My phone had the same problem last few days.
However i just format the internal storage & reflash os. I don't really care as i've backed up my apps using TB.
At least it solve mine.
What solved it for me was a complete wipe, flash back to stock then install recovery and custom rom. Not had any issues since. - think it's an anomaly within the OS.

Already did that in the first 30 minutes of googling. I don't want to root because I will lose my warranty. My colleague's Note 3 is a bit older on the same firmware, but has absolutely no battery drain. He's had his phone on for soon 2 days and it still had 30% of battery left. What could this mean? I have disabled everything he has and it still made no difference.
May be this will help.

I did the same. It worked for 45 minutes straight (80% deep sleep, 20% awake), then when I woke the phone up after those 45 minutes to check battery stats and turned the screen off manually again, it stopped deep sleeping right that moment.

Hi Muhammad, when I use WLD or Betterbattreystats I usually get nlpwakeclock collector or another wakeclock, it never specifies if a certain app is causing it to stay awake.
Any suggestions on what to do to find out?

No solution. After 4 hours idle I only have 65% left and android OS is the biggest culprit above screen on. I'm thinking of trying the beta kitkat rom.
I solved my battery drain by disabling google location access - for some reason google services continued trying to access location and were keeping the device awake, an hour of idle leached away like 5% of battery, which is usually what I get drained in a day. I have still left "power efficient" location to Android - using only wifi, but have disabled location in the google specific settings, then reboot and voila.
Solved for my Note 3 N9005
I tried all the gimmicks on this thread and many else. Even turning everything off (and thus crippling the functionality of the phone) didn't help.
Then I tried a couple of battery saver apps and one of them seems to have done the trick.
Easy Battery Saver.
Now there's no 'keep awake' time in Battery -> Android OS. None.
Hope this helps!

Thanks, it's a good idea to try apps (if they help) that non-rooted users can try. What kind of settings are you using with Easy Battery Saver?
Took me a while to figure it out but for me Sview case is causing big Android OS battery drain on 4.3. It keeps running a w1_bus_master1 process that tops cpu usage and is draining the battery. You can see it if you enable show cpu usage in developer options. I guess its used to detect opening and closing the case but its usage is insane. As soon as i take the case off the process is gone and Android OS stops eating the battery.

I think I have figured out. My guess is that it was google now, because i disabled it in launcher settings (long tap on wallpaper) and now the tablet sleeps, only wakelock was/is wlan, but its because my wifi is turned on all the time. I guess that because google now was listening for "ok google" (at least mine) all the time it was at min cpu state and maybe it didn't show up at partial wakelock because it was only connecting to web over some time.

I'm seeing it on my old ICS HTC phone. It's killing it, my Nexus 7 is having issues now too but nothing like my phone.
An answer but not the answer you're hoping for
I know this is months old but I couldn't find an answer on the xda forums from a quick search but the wakelock detector website and thought I'd post it for anyone else:
The PowerManagerService wakelock
This wakelock shows as a sum of the partial wakelocks on many phones. If this wakelock is #1 go to the Partial Wakelocks to find out more.

So, you should go the the partial wake locks tab and look at what's going on there.
is that still true for the Android 8?
lineageos 17 (lineage-17.1-20211110-UNOFFICIAL-a3y17lte.zip)
the new rom started out great...
but for like a couple of days now i have a drop in battery endurance.
the battery drain is like 6% per hour.
i installed betterbatterystats and see that "awake with screen off" is usually over 90%.
the partial wakelocks show nothing above 0%.
so i have no clue where this comes from.
i also cleared the cache for google service but no change.

How do you deal with NlpCollectorWakeLock?

Battery life on this phone is amazing under use, but only average on standby, which is the only negative thing I could say about G2. I routinely lose 2%-3% battery over night, it was the same on JB and now on KK.
I've been checking the wake locks and it is our old friend Google Services and its NlpCollectorWakeLock that keeps the phone awake about 10 minutes a day, since Google likes checking our location 1000 times a day. Turning location off doesn't help at all.
What are your experiences and how have you been dealing with this on G2 specifically? Don't just say install Wakelock Terminator, if you used it also share your experiences with it. Does Greenifying make a difference and what did you hibernate? Did you have any issues afterwards with apps that use location?
And most importantly, did it have any effect on battery life in standby?
Can't remember whether Knock On/Off feature has anything to do with the NCWL but just disable it and see what happens.
Also, down 2-3% overnite seems normal to me.

Yeah, constantly running Location Services bugs me off too.
Maybe you could find solution in that http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/nlpwakelock-nlpcollectorwakelock-t2551846 topic, I didn't read it
Location services disable location reporting and history ... That helps decrease it (only do this if you don't use Google now location based features)... Also you can set location to device only if you want ... And greenify the Google maps app ...
... did you actually just complain about a 3% battery drain in 6-7 hours of idling or whatever you define 'night' as?...
Getting back to the topic, one of the bigger things you could do to reduce NlpCollectorWakeLock is disable Google Now. I personally don't find it very useful in my country so I never keep it on. Thus, I get that 3% battery drain overnight with WiFi on.

What I did:
