I'm trying to decide between getting the Pebble, i'm Watch, Agent, or Kreyos Meteor. Which of these do you personally like the best?
Wait for the samsung gear? Should be announced September 4th.

Kreyeos Meteor smart watch looks like the best option right now.
They're all good for certain purposes. I personally backed the Kreyos because it was waterproof and has a speaker + mic.
What's the key decision criteria one should be looking for when evaluating these watches?

Your needs/wants, and whether the watch fulfills them.
I guess what I'd want in a watch...

A few features I'd like to see:
- A virtual security tether to let me know when I'm walking away or forgetting a phone / tablet and to bypass lockscreens
- reminders and basics that I don't even need to open my phone for
- profile management to advise my of locations and what my wifi devices are doing (what Android profiles they are on)
- health and fitness.... not so much but ok I get that this would be the best device to record my movement or how much I'm stuffing my face at meals...

Can't this be done with Google Now? Seems like it would be a feature.

I have been wanting something like this as well.
To have an application to do this though, you would have to have two parts two it.
First part would be an app on your Android device, and the other part would be something that runs on a computer @ the house.
Reason for this is because you would want a secure connection between your phone and the app. Otherwise, anyone/everyone would be able to access your home automation system.
If there is anything like this, that would be awesome, but I don't think there is
The closest thing you can get to it is HomeSeer, but it isn't voice activated. It's only buttons.
If anyone knows of a program that would do voice activation home automation, please let me know!
One for the UK mainly...
Anyone notice the current BBC promo for their BBC Sport app? It's the one with the woman walking down the street looking at the new app with a load of people following behind her trying to read the screen. That's definitely a Note she's holding, obviously so everyone can see the screen. Presumably the Note 2 was just that bit too distinctive to use.
I find this somewhat ironic given the BBC's attitude to Android and that the Sport app was available for iOS several weeks before the Android version came out. Not to mention we're still waiting for local caching for iPlayer...
Anyway, always nice to see one's choice of tech vindicated by a large, faceless organisation

Great that you mention this
Could anyone please share the BBC sport app?
Don't stay in the UK and can't get it, even using a VPN on 4.2.2.

I wouldn't bother - offers nothing the mobile version of the website doesn't already give you.
Being that I came from both the S4 and One, I've found myself completely clueless with this phone as to what's on tv and which channels. Both of those phones had apps that controlled the IR blaster and included a tv guide-like app. Do we not have anything like that? I've been looking and just find the remote app.

I haven't found one yet. I guess we will need to keep searching.

Damn. I was afraid of that. It amazes me that they did not include something similar to compete with them. I'd like to get more attention drawn so we can find an app, have one made, or make our voices heard by LG.

I find myself just using the Direct TV app. It shouldn't be like that, but I guess it is for now.

Sadly it doesn't... But at least it has the guide and I can touch the show I want to watch and it takes me right to it.
they put no effort into the blaster. it's angle is absolutely awful and the htc one and gs4 kill it. if you're one inch off from the direction of the IR in the device, it won't work. it's absolutely terrible... so it doesn't surprise me the software sucks.

You really do have to aim it with precision for it to work well. Stupid thing.

I definitely noticed the same thing. I can't seem to figure out what or why it is that way. The One had the best IR blaster in my opinion. I enjoyed it's bundled app more than the S4's too.

I would use this to free ram from task manager with one click how cool would that be what would you use yours to do?
either nobody is imterested or they all have one on order lol
I have a green Kickstarter Edition of Pressy on order. It won't ship for a few months still. But yes I don't see any reason it wouldn't work its designed to work with the app they are writing for it.

Green one here too.
I don't know how I'll use mine, I backed them up because it was a good idea

Hey jutley, RaptorMD and IIIPowerIII, thanks for backing our project! The kickstarter edition is gonna be awesome
About your question - yes, Pressy will work on the note 3.
Geva Tal,
Pressy Team.
I've backed as well. Great idea.
I would use mine for
Task killer
Discreet camera
Shortcut to group me app for work
And to keep lint and junk out of my headphone jack since I NEVER use the jack. I use Bluetooth headphones
And other uses
Great idea !!
Just commenting to say I backed as well.. Can't wait for it to come out.
I will probably mostly use it to open the camera app
Its really an innovative solution that will allow for some many different functions. I know I will set one "pressy" function to call my wife so I don't have to set a speed dial.
I have a black one on order. Probably going to use it to turn on torch and camera.
So its time for a lil bump
Who received their pressy?
I love mine, the quality is great. I don't have any issue at all on my Nexus 5, Galaxy S5 and Note 3. Everything work perfectly.

Hey G2 users , I think of buying this phone in this month. So I want to ask is there a TV Remote app like in HTC One or Galaxy S4?
Yes

It is fantastic. You can make custom remotes, program custom profiles, everything. It is fantastic.

Except it has not very good range. IR sensor is quite small.

Trying to use it is also kind of a pain, I find myself having to really aim at the sensor location on the TV to get it to work.
I guess it's ok though since I don't plan on using this since I have my TV remote. To me, it's just a nice-to-have thing in case my TV remote ever craps out or gets lost.
