Other than the obvious brick; I am thinking about doing it for my Samsung Express.
I can't get WiFi to work on 4.3 because of a different baseband/radio from the previous ICS build and there's no updated radio/modem to be found anywhere!
I was thinking about flashing a radio from the AT&T i747 Galaxy SIII S3 onto my AT&T i437 Samsung Express.
Do you guys think it'll work?

Hi All,
I've a question as the title. I'm new to the tablet family, but I've experience on my galaxy note & SIII.
I recently got my hand on the GT-P5113, since I would like to change the language or regional setting (Chinese- Hong Kong)
Is it compatable for me to flash other P5110 stock rom to the P5113 via Odin?
Will is cause problems or even brick it?
many thanks!!
IR blaster and lack of vibration in the 3. Would of thought roms were interchangeable between the two

As far as I remember reading when I bought this was that ROMs are actually specific to each device.
Thank you for the replies.
I want to find out if anyone has tried flashing different region rom.
I don't mind losing the IR function, but other than this, will it cause major issue and most importantly will it brick!!
I want to keep it simple no root, stock rom is fine, as the Tab is for my uncle to use.
Any input and reassurance is much appreciated!!
If I go ahead and try, any problem, I can always flash back the original Rom, Right??
One more thing, Does both the 5110 & 5113 use the same CPU.
I know for a fact that the US Galaxy Note & International Note uses different CPU. That's why they are so incompatible.
According to this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31414984
5113 roms can be flashed to a 5110

From Phandroid's article:
Despite being the biggest and most successful, Samsung isn’t always the most vocal player in the game when it comes to discussing upgrades to new versions of Android. The company has yet to formally detail a list of devices that will be receiving Android 4.4 KitKat.
Phandroid 4.4 KitKat
While anyone might have guessed that the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 might have been in line, a source close to the matter has confirmed to Phandroid that the following list of devices will be receiving the illustrious upgrade (devices in bold have already started to receive official rollouts):
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 SGH-i317
Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-i747
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-t217a
Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-i337
Samsung Galaxy S4 Active SGH-i537
Samsung Galaxy Mega SGH-i527
Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom SM-c105a
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900a
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 SGH-i467
Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini SM-g730a
As you can see, the Note 3′s rollout started late last month over in Poland, and should be heading to other regions as Samsung works out logistics and testing. As for the Samsung Galaxy S4, it was only this morning that Samsung began pushing out KitKat for users of the LTE-A variant over in South Korea.
Early reports of firmware from both the Galaxy S4 and Note 3 suggest Samsung didn’t change much in KitKat, though that’s because most of their significant upgrades came with the upgrade to Android 4.3 (which mainly enabled new camera features and Galaxy Gear compatibility). Users are treated to improved performance, though, as well as slight changes to Samsung’s UI which amount to little more than a couple of new icons.
Unfortunately, that’s about the length of our knowledge thus far. There’s no telling when, exactly, Samsung will look to push the upgrades out, nor do we know if they’re even close to being ready for public consumption.
android-kitkat
More than anything, though, we’re just happy to know that devices dating back to 2012 are getting some love (especially considering a lot of other OEMs have already abandoned phones that only released just last year). We’ll be looking to dig up any information we can on the impending updates in the weeks (or months) to come.

Sammobile said our device and Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 are cheap devices and they're not sure if Samsung will bring KitKat to budget phones -_- God bless us.

What's the difference from the normal S3 mini (8190) to the G730A? Why did they create a new model number for an already existing model? Can I install this new firmware on the older model?

I hope they publish an oficial rom for international phones... So far all custom roms have some glitches... I'll be expectating...
There's many roms for this phone. I like the Carbon Rom personalization, but it's isn't ready yet on 4.4...

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337M from the Canadian service provider, Fido. From what I've read i need a custom ROM that is compatible with for my phone or I might end up bricking my phone. Can I use any SGH-I337 custom ROM or can I use the rogers ROM's one with the same model as mine? I've been reading about cyanogenMOD and Omnirom would i be able to use one of those?
Hello XDA ,
As you can see I have a big problem. I got a Samsung Galaxy S4 from Verizon and I left the country. Now, I want to use it where I live and I have fixed the SIM card problems but I want to run the original S4 I9500 ROM and not the Verizon one, as i suspect the Verizon one causes problems. Can I do that? As the devices are the same but the one i have is from verizon and has a different model number.
I (my wife) has the same phone, I managed to root it and tomorrow I will try to flash twrp and look if I can get cm14 on it. Stupid Verizon ROM....
Late reply I know... Merry Christmas

What model is the s4? There are models that use Qualcomm and Samsung processors and the ROMs are specific to each processor.

i9500 exynos
I don't see an official CM13 for the i9500 that supports LTE.
According to the specs, the phone cannot support LTE and flashing a ROM won't enable LTE as far as I know: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9500_galaxy_s4-5125.php

its not lte. i said he was using non-lte.
Sorry for my misunderstanding. When you mentioned that you have the international s3 (there are international versions of the s3 that have LTE: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9305_galaxy_s_iii-5001.php), I thought you were asking about LTE on the s4.
Since the phone is an i9500 and the CM13 is for the i9500, it should be fine to update. If the phone is running CM12.1 or older, a full system wipe before installing CM13 may be necessary.
