Hi, I have a Dell XCD35. However, I found out that it is a Chinese blade I have successfully installed the latest CM7.
Will anyone please guide me on how to re-partition my system to install CM10.1?

You only have to flash the ROM 3-Times:
1.Flash = Repartition
2.Flash=Custom Kernel
3.Flash=Custom Rom
First do a full wipe and when you are flashing the ROM 3times , don't do a wipe , just flash it 3 times and reboot

If you have already read the Overcome thread there is instructions how to install it. Thot its messy in the 1st post. Hehe
In order to install the rom. You can use clockworkmod or odin to install.
1) CWM is to be install into your tab & flash the rom via in recovery mode. The rom is stall inside your sdcard(the removable)
2) For Odin, its an app on your computer. You flash the rom via odin from your computer with your tab in usb connection (in debug mode)
Personally, I followed these Instructions here: http://www.droid-den.com/phone-guides/phone-guide-install-custom-modaco-rom-and-kernel-on-samsung-galaxy-tab-guide to install Modaco Kernel with ext4 conversion and CWM, and simply replaced the Modaco Rom in the instructions with Overcome v1.1.3 full. Worked a treat. With the new Overcome v1.2.0, just use the full install zip (don't forget to wipe everything including dalvik cache in clockwork, and don't forget to make backups!) and you will get the Overcome Kernel aswell, which is sweet.
All of this will get you upgraded to having CWM, ext4 Filesystem, and the Rom.
I would also suggest doing a RotoBackup first, always good to have a backup of original software etc.
I started off by flashing the euro 1.4GHz OC kernel with Heimdall which included Clockwork recovery, it seemed the safest option as opposed to using the bootstrap off of the market. Then flashed overcome 1.1.3 via clockwork.
any link for Overcome v1.1.3 download ?
Just get 1.2.1. Its the latest and greatest.
many thanks to all of you didnt knew too easy
Can Overcome be installed on a Korean Tab? Model number SHW-M180S?

If you are coming from 1.1.x then IIRC you can just use the upgrade zip rather than the full wipe zip. I did this last night and it is fine.
I had flashed the custom for 1 time before. Now I cannot use the custom rom again. It likes bricked.
I had tried to flash cm7 and miui with recovery(2ndinit) too.But it is not work.
I only can use JORDN_U3_97.21.51.sbf this rom now.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
Help!!!Help!!!
try this
hi,
try these steps out and hope it helps...
1. Flash your defy with any Stock Gingerbread ROM using RSD Lite.
2. After flashing it root it using superoneclick.
3. Install defy 2nd init.
4. Download the latest stable MIUI for defy (2.4.13) and flash this on your defy using the recovery (make sure you factory reset your device and clear Dalvik cache).
I think you should be able to install custom roms then....defy is not brikable!! :good:
Hit Thanks if it helped.

Flash your phone to base DXLF1 and try installing Hyperion from there. if you still have trouble installing the ROM, try flashing DXLF1 then install EVO-X2.1 then Hyperion (that's what I did)
also you don't need a pre-rooted phone. installation of Hyperion automatically roots your phone. and if you did a fresh flash and haven't booted up your phone (after Odin flashing, immediately booted to Recovery then CWM Recovery) then you don't have to do a data reset or cache wipe, your phone after flashing stock rom is already as good as wiped and reset.
and you can flash Hyperion from either CWM or Stock Recovery. but the flashing of EVO-X2.1 requires CWM. I forgot if EVO needs root, but you can check that out on the developers page (too lazy to add link )
first flash stock dxlf
then if youre succesfull go to stock rom home screen
reboot recovery clear data factory reset and cache on stock recovery
then apply root update.zip (file you need to root ur phone)
next open cwm clear data and cache again
after that install hyperion then donot reboot and donot apply any update (must be later after succes install)
clear data and cache again in cwm
then reboot recovery clear data and cache again
then reboot wait for a while
thats my step and now im using hyperion smoothly

go dig in that thread, you should find it eventually. also you need to know how to use Odin flasher, but that's already included in the guide.

you may immediately flash to DXLF1. just go to download mode without doing anything. Like I said, flashing stock roms is as good as getting your phone right from the factory.
after flashing to DXLF1 you may retry flashing Hyperion. if that doesn't work, then refer to my previous post on what I did.

ok here is what you have to do:
1.go to recovery wipe data wipe cache
2.go to cwm re wipe data and cache again
3.go to mount and storage format system&data&cache then mount every thing
4.go to advance wipe dalvik cache and fix permission
5.flash the rom
if that didn't do it try flashing stock vie one more time and repeat my steps
Which kernal are you stock or custom
If Stock
A problem was being in update binary dealete rom from sdcard downloads again pls do no extract it boot into recovery mode wipe data wiprle cache mount everything wipe dalik cache then flash the rom
If custom
You Don't need downloads again the rom
Boot into recovery mode wipe data wipe cache partion mount everything flash the rom
try to odin it again with old firmware. maybe this will fix your problem.

all roms here work fine
make sure you format system data cache then mount system data cache in cwm before flashing the rom zip
you also need to be on the correct file system and kernel depending on rom - eg stock based kernels for stock based rom and ext file system and a cm kerenl for cm based roms
