We have started a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.
The device and the Android app, we developed, are adding connectivity to your digital camera, and controlling it via smartphone. The idea looks good, the prototype is already working, but there is no direct traffic to the Indiegogo project page, only a bit from FB
What would you advice us to do to promote the project? We want to make it happen!

Hello everyone!
I am thinking of making a new app, including a website. Since I am a website builder I would love to get some help with building the android app (my knowloedge of java is minimal...).
The fact is; I always have good ideas for building websites etc, but never really have the motivation to develop it. Now I have this thing; I am an athlete and study sports marketing. There are a lot apps for running and fitness, but there is no database-like app for athletics.
What should the app do?
- The app should syncronize with the website I will build, it should be able to upload the user data to the MySQL database.
- It will be a 'social' app so you should be able to put things on twitter with it.
- You should be able to upload your new personal records to it. So you can keep track of your best performances
- There should be information about specific technics (for example the fosbury flop, on high jump).
and more if I can come up with more ideas.
What am I looking for?
- A developer that has about 2 or 3 hours time a week for this project
- Creative people
- People who know how developing for android works.
In a later stadium the developer(s) can earn money from selling the app and adds, 100% of the profit of the app is for the developer(s). The profit I get from the website is 100% for me.
If there's nobody interested, do you guys know where to find someone like this? I can't do it all myself since that's way too much work. But I would love to make it. I will make a logo, and we can discuss about a name for the website and the app.
Please help me. If you have questions, please ask!
Hello Developers,
The reason I am calling for some Developers is because I am creating a solution
(for both personal and Commercial) for Android Cloud VM's using AOSP.
Some of you might be thinking, well why would someone need that? why not just use a physical device? or even just host your own VM?
Well here is what I am doing with this project:
1. Anroid Cloud VM's can come in handy with products not open to I-devices.
Using an Android VM on say an iPod Touch or iPhone would spare the trouble of hacking or even buying a second device.
2. Maybe you cannot afford such a device because you just spent all your money on an iphone or blackberry and need access to an android device.
3. on a personal/business Smart phone, you can install this cloud device and use it for its oppiste use. (E.G on a business phone, use the VM to run personal apps, like email, web browsing, and other personal related stuff.)
The list goes on but you get the idea.
What I need to start off this project is:
-an iPhone/ iOS developer
-An android Developer (I only know Visual Basic so It is hard for me to learn a new language.)
-Some beta testers for when the team plans to release said software.
-Might need a C# or another VB.net or even a PC Java developer
In return for developers I can give per person (Sorry no teams as far as specific development.)
Following:
Depending on sales of the application(s) and other related items I can offer:
- 5% <--> 10% of sales Untaxed per developer. (depends on how many sales and how many developers.)
-Might be able to, depending on sales, donate devices.(Dev's Choice.)
-Unlimited access to said Cloud VM's. (I think that's a given yeah?)
I already have the plan laid out. I just need the resources.
If you seem interested and are willing to take the risk with me, PM with contact information (I am comfortable with IRC, Texting, or Phone calls.)
If you do not want to give away such information but still want to inquire about this project, Google Voice a free nubmer and send that number to me so I may contact you.
NOTE: Mods, I put this post here in hopes of finding a dev quickly, If I have in anyway posted to the wrong part of the forum, please move and contact me so I know.
Thank you.

Having some experience in large operations like this. I offer this input.
First. You are taking on a huge project. You will need some sort of financial backing to provide the back end server hardware for all of this. Second. Licensing. Third. I cannot see something like this being completed easily or in the near future with one dev per section. You will definitely need teams. Your biggest of which will be setting up the remote system. Plan of action should either be cutting down on the need for so many Devs to make it more beneficial to the dev. Shoot me a pm if you would like more info or help.
Not saying its not possible. definitely a lot to consider tho

Well, I have the hardware, AOSP is opensource and seeing as I am not selling android to consumers, but instead offering a service of which they can access said Software, which to my understanding is under GPL. But I could be wrong, on any note, I will PM you because it seems you a knowlegdable on this kind of topic.
Hi everyone,
I just discovered a promising project on kickstarter which - in my opinion - is worth a look and might deserve some more backers.
It's called "Nudge" and is a very slick and straight designed Messenger app. Next to the design and some promising features I appreciate most the promised cross-platform experience. I always hate to type WhatsApp messages on my phone while I'm sitting in front of a computer anyhow.
Have a look for yourself: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/f1f1rul3s/nudge-the-instant-messaging-app-like-no-other
As with every WhatsApp alternative the most important question will be whether enough people will install the app and form a relevant user base.
Please note that I'm not affiliated with the project in any way, I just thought that XDA would be a good place to find some people who appreciate promising app concepts.
Best,
Becksman
Hey,
I backed Nudge. Lets hope it will be successful in funding and after that popular.
And it looks like "Nudge" needs a lot more backers, so go ahead and give the guy 5 bucks so he can build the messenger.
Yep. Backed them too.
While the goal of 150k GBP might seem a little ambitious as of today, I really like the idea. And if they shouldn't reach their goal - no-one gets charged. So c'mon - back this project.
Hello everyone,
My team is working for eeGeo, a company that provides a 3D mapping platform for developers.
A cloud based, SaaS platform has its origins in the gaming industry. We use gaming know-how married to mobile technology and big data to create geo-spatially accurate renditions of cities, countries and continents for multiple platforms.
eeGeo’s SDK makes it simple to create and maintain an engaging virtual representation of any property (outdoor as well as indoor).
Big news is that we have recently launched our JavaScript API which promises to greatly reduce the friction to developing on our maps; you can hack something up rapidly, rather than installing xcode, signing up for a developer account , provisioning your device etc. Plus you don’t need to download any app to experience our maps.
In addition to that, our API is compatible with the popular Leaflet.js library, used by many mapping platforms. If you’re already using Leaflet, it’s easy to change your 2D map for a more immersive, engaging experience. It’s all out there courtesy a few lines of HTML.
More details here: http://www.eegeo.com/2016/07/eegeo-maps-browser-javascript-api-now-beta/
It would be brilliant if you could become a part of the team that will test run our JavaScript API, eegeo.js and get back to us with your feedback. We are offering a free license of our eeGeo SDK worth $1200 for everyone who participates.
Do note that this is a beta release, so we’d love to hear your feedback. We’re already planning performance improvements, increased map coverage, and new features, but we want to hear from you. Feature requests, bugs, and other comments can be added to the github issues list.
During the beta period, eegeo.js is free to use. You only need an eeGeo API key. You can sign up here: https://goo.gl/forms/l2Wh2M9wkqw9kqXq1. Have a great day!
Hello, I’m here to share my thoughts and tips about the Android app promotion
Here are the most useful tips which I have learnt promoting my Android Apps:
1) Start promoting your App while it’s still developing.
2) Make an announcement about your Application in news break. List its pros, benefits, emphasize strong sides. It helps to warm up the user’s perception and become more loyal to the newly released application.
3) Maximize its effectiveness in your inner market. I mean it must stand out among the similar applications and become visible for users when they type its name in search line. ASO service will help you to be different and recognized – pay attention on title, description, screenshots, and presence of keywords.
4) Use SMM channel. Talk as much as possible about your application in social networks, thematic blogs and forums.
5) Maintain AdWords campaign – it would provide you solely target audience on your App installation.
6) Use incent traffic service which provide you installs and high rate reviews– it cost not much, but ensure inflow of organic audience.
7) If you have several similar application – not use the same marketing campaign – try different channels and test measurements.
8) Run the keyword install campaigns for the cheapest rankings growth and raise your organic traffic
Would be great if people will add their own thoughts/marketing cases here. Concerning the different ad networks/platforms etc:angel:

If you really want to invest in making your app the next big thing, you should check out APPSPIRE.me, a mobile app marketing agency. They guarantee results and are super easy to work with. To be honest, they are the real deal. If you have a little bit of money to spend to get your app huge, I really recommend that you check them out.
pay attention to your existing users
I may share one more tip
You might have developed an excellent app, but you might be forgetting about retention and loyalty. Observing recent app store algorithm updates, you can see that retention and app usage metrics are getting more important for the app stores than ever. Loyal users are about to be even more value for both Apple App Store as well as Google Play Store Algorithm.
