hello all
My phone will lose the network signal and respond to any attempt to make a call with 'No Network Available' trying serch network "Error Seach"..
I have found that turning on Aeroplane Mode, then turning this off again wakes the phone up and it finds my home network (Telcel/mexico) immediately or sometimes does not return need extract sim or reboot.
another problem is that when I make a call not heard anything
Problem software?
Is there a bug in the latest release that others have noticed, or is it the view of the experts here that the phone has a defect?
I´m trying chagen option dial pad *#*#4636#*#* an "phone information" find and change "preferred network type" to "LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)" and reboot phone after changes not save
Thanks,
Sorry google translade

hello everyone, my nexus s 4g is flashed to boost, i been using it for 3 months without problems but in the last 2 weeks the internet was working too slow and i did a hard reset to the phone with the dial code (*#*#786#*#*)
after the hard reset the phone didn't have service because the msid and phone # changed, i went into cdma workshop and restore the msid and phone # and the phone was working again, i can make and receive calls and send and receive texts
but now my problem is that the phone don't show the 3g icon and doesn't connect to internet
i will appreciate if somebody can help me get the 3g working again
thanks
This may sound stupid, but s mobile data enabled in settings -> wireless & network settings -> mobile networks ?
If it is, then have you tried enabling airplane mode and then disabling it? There are times when my NxS drops 3G connection for no apparent reason and this is one way I can get it back.
I saw this posted in the radio guide as way to "retrieve 3G data connection"
Code:
1. Go to Dialer. Dial *#*#4636#*#*
2. Go to Phone information. Choose the preferred network to
"GSM Auto PRL" or "CDMA Auto PRL" or whatever you have.
3. Scroll down, deactivate and activate Phone Radio.
4. Press Menu button.
5. Select Phone frequency, then choose your country.
6. In the previous menu push the Home button to go back to Homescreen.
7. Reboot.

Hi all, I'm a noob to this site and desperately need help.
I've just purchased a S4 I9505 second hand (IMEI checked and not blocked). I'm on the UK 3 network and after putting my sim card in I get signal and reception until the phone goes to sleep (times out) then when I wake it up my reception disappears, with no signal bars, no service and not registered (3) on network. The only way to get reception back is by:
Enabling flight mode then disabling flight mode
Re-enabling my network under "Mobile networks" ---------- > "Network operators"
Re-booting the device
I've already done a "hard" reset in recovery mode and verified the APN and that doesn't help. I've spoken to my network provider whom tell me its a common problem with the S4 which doesn't leave me with any help.
I desperately need your help people.
On my K3 Note, I can't pick preferred network mode on ANY rom/firmware.
I've tried everything, but it always sets the default preference which is 4G>3G>2G.
What I need though is permanent 2G and I can't set it this way. (4G signal is weak on my operator and then it keeps switching between 4G and 2G over and over)
Is there any way to entirely disable or block 4G on a phone so it will never set that mode again?
Any help would be appreciated!
Any help guys? No one knows what could be the issue?
I tried using the *#*#4636#*#* code and set the "GSM Only" but it still doesn't work.
Is anyone else having the same issue?
Edit:
Also what I've noticed is that while using CyanogenMod (atm), it stays on 2G until I turn the screen off. Then it goes back to 4G.
After turning the screen back on it then goes back to 2G again.
same problem here when dialling number it said invalid MMI code and when switching to 4g the other network appear no signal.. hope someone here have solution. i try several roms but same problem issue.
Well after a lot of fiddling, it seems it works on the stock firmware, but the mobile operator as himself has quite troubling network.
But I think we are slowly coming to a conclusion..
Hello, it there anyone that can help me with this bizzare problem. I work in border area, and my phone keeps getting into roaming, instead trying to use my own selected network. I tried to select it manually, no, it always goes to roaming and wont let me select my parent network.
Does anyone have some similar problems, thy.
You can see on pictures. My network is HT HR, and it keeps getting into ERONET, even when there is HT HR signal, because my co worker has same operator and has full 4g signal on same spot, but my damn phone rather goes to roaming.
Is there a command or fix for me to select one network and disable roaming full. THY!
After the latest update, everything worked well until I noticed that I can't force phone to use certain network via testing menu (it can, however, from the setting itself).
Usually, by typing *#*#4636#*#* on dial pad, the system brought up the testing menu which allows me to see phone information, mobile and Wi-Fi usage information. By tapping phone information, the phone shows up the information of SIM1 (and even SIM2, depends on phone's system/ROM), along with the IMEI and other nerdy stuffs.
There is a dropdown selection called "Preferred network" (or something similar), which basically 'forces' the phone to use only the network selected (you can force phone to use LTE even on bad signal, which usually auto-switches to HSPA).
However, hours after the update, the dropdown menu seems useless and can't change the preferred network. Tried soft restart and hard restart and it still doesn't work.
What should I do, then? This doesn't really bugs me but it annoys me whenever I want to use only LTE network since it eventually switches to HSPA on bad signal.
i got the problem to.. cant lock lte after update. help please
