Does anyone know of a way to use your own picture or a downloaded picture as a fullscreen wallpaper in honeycomb?
The cropping tool sucks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

was going to say same thing, tablet wallpaper rocks
I go to a website called HD Wallpapers, they have hundreds of wallpapers at different resolutions. Just choose 1280X800 which fit the Tab screen perfectly.
http://www.hdwallpapers.in/1280x800_wide-wallpapers-r.html
I also use MultiPicture Live Wallpaper app to auto change wallpapers after 1 mins.
i can't find tablet wallpaper
I'm using PicSpeed Wallpapers. Very nice quality, scrollable and frequent additions.
I use Backgrounds Box Wallpapers HD. I never got tablet wallpaper to work.
But searching the forum might help
Multi live wallpaper.... It gives the exact size with no distortion.

OK, so I want to use pictures I've taken (or downloaded for that matter) to set as my homes screen wallpaper WITHOUT cropping the picture (or without significantly cropping it)?
Right now when I try and set a picture from my gallery using the TW gallery it forces me to crop it, AND it forces me to crop it in PORTRAIT mode only...when I scroll (using Nova launcher, scrollable wallpaper enabled) it scrolls and shows black bars. So I downloaded and installed the .apk for the stock gallery, which was slightly better as it allowed me to crop in landscape mode, giving me more of the picture.
But, get this...if I'm using KIES Air and looking at the pictures and choose one to set for the wallpaper it automatically adds it, no cropping, full screen...What gives?
tl;dr
I want to use pictures from my gallery for wallpaper, without cropping (full screen), without KIES Air, and to be scrollable.
Thanks dudes.

Gr. Thanks for the tip.
Really was hoping to not need to install another app...not that I don't have the room (ha!), but that's just annoying that I have to. I assume, since the 'issue' persists with the stock launcher that this is an ICS thing?
Have you tried 'scrolling wallpaper' app from market. Its basically a LWP that lets you set any picture you want as a scrollable wall paper. You don't have to crop anything.

Hey guys,
quick question.
I make a wallpaper from my own picture cropped to 800x1280. Perfect right? I load it on my tablet it looks great but when I set it to wallpaper it forces me to crop and doesnt get past 1/4 of the picture vertically. I thought the resolution was that size? Am I missing something here?
Thanks
Pinch out to resize the crop window.

Ther iz a simple way.... go to system- framework- frameworkres.apk- draweble- ther iz a wallpaper called defaultwallpaper.png.... reset ur wallpaper to dat size.....
Hit thanx if i helped.....

I cant access that file to find out the size. Do you know it?
And to responder#2. I didn't mean a simple pinching of resizing the crop window. I got that. What I meant was it won't let me "pinch" out all the to my 800x1280 picture. It limits my selection area.
BTW I had this problem since day 1 of android usage. I just never cared enough to ask since phone displays are so small, but being this is my first tablet..a wallpaper makes a difference now.
Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?
Go get your own favorite 800x1280 picture. Download it, save it to gallery. And set wallpaper..you will not be able to set the ENTIRE image as wallpaper.
Figured it out.
http://androidforums.com/asus-eee-p...83827-no-more-forced-cropping-wallpapers.html
basically, download PicSpeed Wallpapers
Then when you set your pic as Wallpaper choose picspeed. And they offer different orientation.
Thanks man that app worked like a charm

PicSpeed has absolutely no effect - images still badly cropped when set as wallpaper.
Has anyone sussed this obvious and stupid problem?
Picspeed worked great for me, no more weird cropping on my wallpapers.

Using CM nightly (18th).
I have a pattern lock and removed the side widgets with Lockscreen Policy. Last thing to go would be the circular dots at the bottom that are part of the Google Now swipe.
On a separate note, is there a reason you can pull down the clock to expose a blank area underneath?
Sorry for poorly notated screenshot:

The space is for when you have multiple clocks for different time zones.
if u fill ur lock screen with widgets, u press that to bring up the unlock settings.
You could use an app like widgetlocker or go locker. They'd probably have the option to hide the google now circle.
I miss the simple ICS/ 4.1.2 lockscreen

I don't suppose anyone who has these apps can confirm this? I guess I'll try Go Locker, but the other one is a paid app...

WidgetLocker does one of two things. It either leaves the Home, Back, and Recents buttons there, or, if you enable root helper, it will replace those with the GNow Circle. No option for a black bar.

You could always make the Google now circle blend into the lock screen if you're using paranoidandroid like so.

In hybrid settings, set the launcher's nav bar color and transparency to match the lock screen color n transparency. It takes some tweaking to get the right color but you'll find it soon enough.
I'm using #55000000 but you may need to tweak it a bit depending on your wallpaper
Or you could take a screenshot of your lock screen, find the color code for it using the color picker in Photoshop and then enter that value in the launchers nav bar color picker.

Not sure I'm seeing what you're seeing. The dotted circle is still in your screenshot.
Yea but its not within a black bar. The wallpaper extends to the bottom. And its just one possible way to mask it and make it look nice since I'm not too interested in getting rid of it completely anyway.

Ya... I too want to remove that upward pointed triangle from the lock screen as it is giving me issues.. It is even present behind my Home button and disables its functionality even after unlocking the screen.
Somebody help please
Hi. Can anyone tell me the reason for the black lines on my home screen??
It's very irritating to see them..
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I don't see any black lines. May be because images are downsampled. Can you post problematic parts of screenshots, or full-sized images?
Is it just on your wallpaper or always over your whole screen?

If the lines are on your screen, so they cant obviously appear in screenshots, post pictures taken from other camera.

Happens to me sometimes when I set wallpapers. Just pick the same one and set it again.
Assuming it's the wallpaper and not your screen, you need to maximize the area set by the wallpaper as large as you can. You may be a pixel or two off, so when the wallpaper attempts to repeat itself to the next home screen, it fills the gaps in with black pixels. I had this happen on a wallpaper I had set, took me a few tries to finally get it to repeat properly.
I have the same wallpaper

They appear only on some wallpaper. And they are exactly at points where I crop the wallpaper while selecting it.
I had installed QuickPick and Crop Wallpaper and later uninstalled it. Can this be a possible reason?
I am running Paranoid ROM with Hybrid Properties set to Stock UI.

Try an app called Wallpapyrus or something from Play. I never had to crop my pictures again. Guess that should help with the cropping problem if you hated cropping pics like me. XD

Even after uninstalling the apps didn't help. I'm still those lines..
