Change "samsung s4" boot logo? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to change this boot logo to show something else?
bare in mind i dont mean the boot animation

The boot splash. Easy to change, shame I don't know how to on Samsung phones.

Sure, look in the Themes and Apps section for bootanimations, need root off course to do this.

did you search this forum? i am running omega rom v.9 and this works for me http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335138&highlight=bootanimation

Why is everyone giving the OP links to boot animations? He wants to change the splash screen, the black screen that says 'Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505'
I don't think it's possible to change
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Premium HD app

It requires some bootloader modifications and I don't think anyone is ready to risk messing with that

Why would you need to change the boot animation for your S 4? dont make any sense, just enjoy the phone mate, such things are risky to play with .

Because you like it? Because you want something else? Just because you can?
On the SGS2 I used this tool with great success. I know, the look would suggest otherwise
If something like this comes up for the SGS4 I will most certainly use it as well :good:

That's a good one! Your name in big bold pink characters as the bootlogo Very unlucky if you buy such a phone that way, great idea :good:

Android AIO Flasher - Boot your phone into Fastboot mode. Run the Android AIO Flasher and Click the Splash Image Maker tab. Set the following fields: Conversion Method: ffmpeg Resolution: 480 by 800 (depends on your phone). Click "Browse" and select the image you want to set as the splash image. Click "Convert". Check "In Fastboot Mode?" and Click on "Flash the Splash" button. Then, Go to the AIO Flasher Tab and Select "From Fastboot" under Reboot Menu. Click "Reboot" button and Wait for your phone to reboot.

Those instructions are for other devices (Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0/Karbonn S1 Titanium/K-Touch Lotus II/Kiss U86 and Cherry Mobile Flare/Karbonn A9+). S4 doesn't have fastboot, so you can't use AIO Flasher.
As I see, there is still no tool / instruction to change boot logo on S4.

For the love of g-d!!! Samsung gs4!!!
Can someone PLEASE develop a tool for this?
MANY people out there have a GS4 and want this done!
Sorry that I'm not a dev, but I'm willing to develop if someone could start me off where to look .
In view of all possible customizing currently available for the Samsung Galaxy S4:
1: Boot Splash Image: Not yet developed
2: Boot Animation: Already successful
3: Removal of Yellow Triangle/Flash Counter: Already successful
4: Custom Recovery: Already successful
5: Custom ROM: Already successful
6: XDA Xposed Framework App on JB, KK, LP, MM: Already successful
7: Bcmon: DON'T GET ME STARTED!!!
Can a dev out there PLZ have mercy on us all??!!
Maybe by getting a custom_param_lfs.tar for the Galaxy S4?

after magldr? so you mean when it's booting into android? I believe that's in the initrd.gz file.

You can only change that if you will edit initrd.gz in the boot partition.

[Q] .141 Update linked, Thanks! (I Need a hard-bricked Atrix, read this)

====In need of donations!!!====Also, I'm in need of a Hard-bricked Atrix. Sorry but I don't have any money to spend right now, so I'm looking for donations. This might help with the development of the ROM (Very much speed up the time it will take and testing) if I can get it to work. The most I probably can give you are credits in the ROM (literally, I will add your name to the notices that come up when you flash the zip, and on the forum page) and a copy of the pre-release version (Stable or Unstable you decide). Please PM me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks but it says not to flash to a device with an unlocked bootloader. Not taking any changes. Was hoping for the boot & system .img files...
Also I figured out the set x.xxxxx thing. It's for the orange loading bar. lol.

Thanks I already downloaded them from atrix.tk
If you need a hard bricked Atrix, I got one. Its useless to me since I already bought another one, and use a Galaxy S II now anyways. I think the digitizer might be faulty as it sometimes does not feel like working unless you turn the screen off a few times, then it works perfectly.

Need a little direction

I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 (sm-t330nu). I recently put a custom rom on it (thank you @Jazzexpresso I love it) Previously I was able to run the Quick Boot app to boot into recovery no problem but now if I select reboot nothing happens. I have spent a couple days searching post but haven't found any solutions. Can someone please direct me to the right post? Thank you!

There is nothing wrong with doing the button combinations. It is just that I have a tablet case that doesn't make it the easiest to do. That and it is a whole lot more convenient.

well i think you need gravity box and choose expanded boot manager or something like that if you go ik recovery alot....... i go myself only like every 2 weeks to make backup
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I looked up Gravity Box but it said it was not compatible with Samsung Touchwiz. Any other suggestions?
there are special builds for touchwiz
Found a fix
After more research I found a solution. Native 5 Way Reboot by @pyromayniyak. Works great! Thank you @pyromayniyak!
