If you enable this, then every time an app accesses SD card (like during download or some temporary files or maybe advertisements)...you will get a permission popup asking if you want to allow the access.

Working on my custom ROM.
Day 1
Screenshots conning soon.
This ROM has 90% chance to run on Q800 too.
Features:
1. Individual volume control by pressing volume key.
2. If there are no notifications then pulling down notification will directly display quick panel toggles instead of blank notification.
3. CRT off effect added.
4. Added 4-way boot - Power off, Reboot , Soft reboot or Hot boot, Reboot to recovery.
5. Center clock with day name display.
6. Circular % battery added.
7. Increased number of toggles...like added Torch, 2g/3g/both network switch toggles.
8. Incresed number of volume steps in music volume for song freaks who want to control volume more precisely.
9. Decreased lowest brightness value as it was too bright to be used at night.
10. Long press back key to kill present app completely.
11. Long press menu key to enable search in any possible app.

Add titanium backup
Make some GPS fixes.
Using volume keys to wake
Add cpu tweaks as our cpu can be overclocked to 1.3 ghz or reducing can increase battery performance.
Add bravia, beats and xloud
Add Google ad blocker
Add Google 4.2 stock camera which supports photo sphere.
If possible add SIM toggle

Do you know what you are saying (no offence though)
1. Users can download themselves.
2. We can't mess much with GPS as the major part is hardware issue. Moreover I don't have GPS in my city.
3. I'll not add as it's bad when screen turns on everytime you increase or decrease volume when listening to music when screen is locked.
4. We need kernel source to overclock but we don't have. If someone told you about it, tell him to talk to me.
5. I'll add bravia but not any audio mod as music is individual choice. If I add one type of audio mod then it may mess with others.
6. I've special super ad blocker but believe me you don't wanna use it. (Ask reason on FB)
7. Our phone don't support photosphere as we don't have gyro sensor.
8. What toggle? I have added network mode selection toggle.

chill.. sorry.. I have not mentioned it as an advice. I'm not a developer, it totally went in a wrong way.. I don't know that photo sphere dosent work without gyro..
I find power button is so delicate that I can't loose it by pressing all the time so I asked for an alternative..

please provide process for swap internal and external sd cards and gps fix
I am unable to install nfs on my xolo as internal memory is not enough. Ps provide a reliable guide for swapping internal sd with external sd. I know that it can b done by modifying voib file. But don't know exactly what.
Another thing is that the gps is not working. It only show location based on the gsm tower location.

You have to install recovery as mentioned in tutorial.
Both are good but TWRP has touch support.
CWM should be installed before.
CWM doesn't count towards warranty issues.

It'll be either too easy or too hard as swiping will change the tab instead of caller action.

That's annoying, I've always adored the vibe and autorotate toggles. They were my FAVORITE. With volume rocker, it takes a long time and it beeps.

That's true. Still like it in the toggles. Considering airplane mode is in the power menu too, and I use the vibe switch ALL THE TIME and the airplane mode rarely.

it would be nice to publish the low sound fix (as it's kernel related).
After some testing this feels really good. Rom doesn't have speaker problems anymore and everything seems to be working. I haven't tested call voice level yet... And kernel can be overclocked but there isn't smarass2 or minmax, only normal covernors.
Can someone please post a mirror? Or at least instruction how to download fom the site...

i dont have speaker problems with stock 2.3.5, but with custom kernel i DO have with call volume from speaker phone ( hands free both wired and wireless have proper volume), so please check the call volume

Okey I just tested it and I didn't notice any difference with the stock 2.3.5. It seems call volume is also fixed with this kernel

Kernel seems to work fine with official 2.3.5, can overclock and in call voice level is normal...
Is there any way to install this kernel over standard CM7 as a flashable zip?
found new bug. It seems search button works like power button... whit this rom battery last at least 24h wich is enough for me. I think I will stick with this one until dzo's 4.03 rom is stable.

Copy the ROM and kernel in a custom folder, then open the rom with winrar drag the rom to the kernel after it replaced the previous

UPDATE 1: Ok, here some notes after some tries...
Strange visualization of some apps (e.g. Jrummy's Root Browser Lite) with wrong space and scale between graphic elements. Text in Google Play is near white, almost unreadable, also in Viber's popup windows. Some chinese symbols in calendar. Email's input fields dirtied by strange blue lines. Compass ovalized.
Deleted useless (for now) scripts:
00banner, 01mountsd, 02miuithemeprop, 04 first boot, 05 lagfixer, 07 writeback, 09scardspeedfix, 97swap2sd, net_buffer, remount_fullext4, s99drop_cache.
Also, maybe I'm wrong but it seems to me that swap file function isn't supported by kernel, apparently you cannot have a swap file.
Modified also build.prop but only to meet my needs of mantain scripts as clean as possible!
UPDATE 2: deleted /system/default.prop, the values here aren't well suited for this rom causing instability or reboots. It will be automatically replaced by the default file residing in the ram disk.
UPDATE 3: replacing kernel with that taken from latest LeWa rom (only for test purposes, some devices e.g. bluetooth will not works!) you can activate the swap file. Sorry I cannot try further this rom, I hope that the next version will be better.
This rom is enjoyable although not perfect, needs some work but the path is right! My bests!
Additionally: auto-retrieve MMS doesn't work.

I have downloaded the ROM from original site and flashed as per your recommendations in STALLION thread. It's great. I have some queries.
1. There were five patches whereas you have given seven.
2. How do you lock the screen? Is it only to be locked with POWER button. I use third party screen lock app tied up with long press search button which is not working here as this function is tagged with camera. Any alternative for screen lock?

1. Sorry, i made a mistake, there are only 6 of them, not 7. I dont know why u have only 5, and it doesnt realy matter.
2. I dont use any buttons to lock, screen timeout locks itself, or i use power button, but if u want, u can use search button, by doing this:
System Settings>System>Button>MI button>Trigger Toggle>Lock

I installed this rom yesterday from the chinese sources,you don't need all the 6 patches.There are 5 update patches and the 6th is the one you need,this is the final patch that includes ALL the other ones (20130101_U8800Pro-MIUI2.3.7 by FCS fix 20130104-12_update.zip)
to OP:There are 4 other files that came with the rom and i don't see them in the post.They are Sakura's Atmel screen fix,geno's gapps,flash player for this rom and the new miui compass that was not included in the original rom.If you don't have them tell me to upload them
If you want to put power button to search button go with root explorer to system/usr/keylayout open qwerty.kl with text editor,find key 217 and change it from ''CAMERA'' to ''POWER' and in the same line from ''WAKE DROPPED'' to ''WAKE'' .Save and reboot.Now pressing the search button closes the screen,long pressing it brings up the power menu.
People this is the best MIUI so far and the latest one with final release date 14/1/2013,Everything works.This is a special rom started by Geno,then Hay modded it,then Ry09iu modded it farther and lastly Sakura combined the mods of all of them together with his own and released this amazing rom.you got to try it

No worries about ram unless you have 200apps installed like all roms

I agree to you with first point. Five patches replaced by one single patch and I am using the same.
I will surely try your method OF search key lock /power button. I will surely try that.
Lately there are four more files of which I am using the gapps lite. My touch screen send to be working ok and I have not flashed the atmel kernel mod. BTW how to know whether I have a ATMEL or SYNAPTICS hardware?

On your phone dialer you dial *#*#2846579#*#*
A menu will appear,then you go to project menu->upgrade->touchscreen firmware upgrade->touch screen version query and it will show you if it is ATMEL or SYNAPTICS.
Be aware however that this menu does not appear on all custom roms. For example in CM7 if you try it, nothing will happen.

That fix improves speed, stability, adds V6 SuperCharger script, improves power saving, etc.
No button backligt is not a bug, but you can "fix" it by doing this:
Download any root exploring app, go to sys>class>leds>button-backlight> edit it like text, and write 255>save it

Yes,I tried it too on MIUI but like CM7 it doesnt work in these roms. It works on official/stock rom 100%, i checked it on my official rom before installing this MIUI.
If you have a recovery backup of the stock/official rom you can restore the official rom and try it there, it will work there 100%.

1. For Call recording , Press stop in the dialer before you finish your call or the recording will keep on recording .

Q.Can I use this rom on tmo/Canadian variants?
A.This rom is made for the N9005, @fahadali2315 doesn't support other variants, He ONLY supports the N9005. However a user made a fix to get the things that work by default to work on tmo/Canadian variants. Read the "How to get N9005 roms to work on N900T(Tmo) & N900W8(Canadian) Variants" guide for step by step instructions BUT use the fix that i am linking below.

A2.Use latest philz recovery (recommended at ROM thread OP), other recoveries might not be able to flash this rom.
A2. v2.5 comes with Aroma Installer, I personally choose Chenglu CWM as it will handle Aroma better.
Q.Why is deep sleep not working?
A1. Deep sleep only works with the 2 NE6 kernels, 1 that comes with the rom and other that @fahadali2315 posted.
A2. Latest updated / tested : Aurora kernel is a good match to this X-Note S5 Ported ROM. Thanks @MojoManagement for the good kernel

A2. Sview is working on v2.5. If you use custom DPI, you will need to set the DPI for sviewcover to 480 with Xposed app setting module, save, and reboot your device.
Q.Why do I get "file not found" when I click on live wallpapers?
A.Live wallpapers are not included.

A1.Wait about a minute or so on setupwixard and it will turn on.
A2.Flash a different kernel.
A3. On v.2.3 & up, WiFi is working perfectly

2. When Terminal is open, locate your directory where the file is downloaded, usually run this command: cd Downloads
3. When the path changes to the Downloads folder, type in "md5 XXXXXXXXXXXXX.zip" (name of the downloaded zip)
4. An MD5 code will come up, for example 614a3fac73272c9b53e74dc2ef5675f3, copy and paste this.
5. On the thread of the ROM, there should be located an MD5 code, press Command F, and paste it in the box. If the MD5 is found, then congratulations, MD5 checksum complete!

have done the same.

1. Modification of System Files (Installing unsupported themes from other ROMs)
2. Tweaking of System Files manually (e.g. deleting gsiff_daemon)

1. Boot into recovery by holding Power, Vol Up and Home at the same time.
2. Select the Wipe option.
3. Select the Advanced option.
3. Select System, Internal SD, Cache and Dalvik Cache, then swipe to wipe.
5. Go back, select Format Data, type 'yes', then press Done.
6. Reinstall your ROM from your external SD.
7. Reboot

Hows the Battery Performance on this ROM? been using XNote for a month and it's an amazing rom. I wonder if this could replace XNote Note 3 being my daily rom thank you so much Fahadali
Can you pls check the contact setting FC? S view cover not working. Dialer full screen caller picture half shown on screen. Contact list is misaligned. Call from contact list shown in wrong position. I am using 289 dpi. Pls check.

Battery life is too weak may be due to deep sleep not functional. Tried some deep sleep software seems working.

Hardly the battery life is 5 to 6 hours. But the look and interface is awesome.

Those are known bugs and since this is a port it's bound to have bugs. With time hopefully these bugs will be fixed and this rom will become even better..

Battery life is bearable, should get better with time...

I always reboot my phone every now and then and I discovered a bug in Data Connection it keeps on unticking the APN then I manually choose again from lte to wcdma to get my data connection back. Do you guys have this also? is there a fix ?

Set your apn settings again manually. Delete old ones and set new .
Then reboot and try.

Yes I Clean Flashed the latest build. I really want to use this rom and when im trying to open bluetooth in settings it gave me a FC tried clearing cache and dalvik still having FC I'll try to flash the latest X-Note kernel hope it works *Crossfinger*

Gps should be fixed after flashing stock rom through odin.

But not works for me i have completely wipe (data,cache,system,firmware) and after flash with odin3.09 NB4 stock rom not works any help or suggestion is appreciated thanks again
