Thanks, mate !

that is pretty damn cool.....

excellent found

Awesome
THANKS!

Best tool ever!

Also, another one is QTTabBar, for me even better solution tha Clover because of more customization options and possibility to skin its interface.
Here is my example:

Why is such a great tool not implementd in windows by default? :laugh:

I dont like the look of QTab so much, but again, useful tool.
You used to be able to browser files on your hard disk from internet explorer including tabbed browsing, but alas IE10 on windows 8 if you type C:\ into the URI bar just opens a new explorer window. It was also a rather poor file manager at that.
Chrome still does it but is even worse at it

Yeah, i like clover more, too
Wow didnt know that

Konqueror (part of KDE, typically used on Linux or Unix but there's a Windows port too) is a combo file manager / web browser with tabs and such. http://windows.kde.org.
I have considered trying to port it to RT, but there's so many other demands on my dev time right now...

Its a really handy and good app.....now I know the use of reading forums

[REF] Ad-Block feature on Opera mobile

ad-block is a well know feature on browsers, which can avoid downloading contents (e.g. ad) with a set of rules.
Now I discovered the Opera mobile does provide ad-block feature (named content blocker, same as that on desktop)!
To proceed, download the following preference file,
http://adnsto.net/other/urlfilter.ini
and paste to your diamond's Windows\Opera9\ directory
An ad blocked example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Someone may have discovered it, but haven't found such threads in this forum, so I just share my thoughts.
p.s. Have a look at the opera:config on opera mobile, you may found even more useful hidden features inherited from desktop browser! (e.g. user's javascript/css, changing skin etc)
wow, another piss off solved! i was looking for this. thx alot!
Great!!! i was looking for it!!!
A quick question:
can we add filters from Opera? maybe we have to add them manually into the ini file...

The file is exactly that from Opera desktop browser. You can do filters configuration first on desktop browser, and copy the urlfilter.ini to your diamond.

aha, ok
thank you!
I've attached a much bigger list to this post
But still it's not up to date ...
If you want to create your own & get the latest blacklists, check for example :
http://my.opera.com/Tamil/blog/index.dml/tag/urlfilter.ini
Does someone tried to measure the downsides of a bigger blacklist file ?
I mean : it must use more cpu & memory => less battery ?
question is : how much ?
a big urlfilter.ini would slow down Opera boot time and loading of sites!
I think all the banner ads / animated ads & etc on some pages will use more cpu / battery than a large urlfilter would...

i think its more about surfing the web faster while ur browser wont download these ads
Maybe somebody could create a simple ad-block app that checks for updated urlfilter and automatically downloads/installs it to the correct opera folder.
This could be a standalone app you could run manually now & then to update opera ad-blocking...
I guess an app like this wouldn't be too hard to create for a developer???
that would be great

I will have a look at doing that. Leave it with me.
Any way that we could use our own icons?
yeah using own icons is what id like to do as well
or a way to add a link and have it recognize the pages icon automatically?
Nice idea. RocketShotz has something similar to this:

ALSO ADDED:
Default icons for: ESPN, Wikipedia Mobile, USA Today Mobile, PinStack and Google Search/Mail/Reader Mobile

I'm not sure what you mean here. Could you explain?
well like in firefox or IE at the address bar there is the symbol to the left
and in favorites it is there as well and it just finds it without any user actions you know?
I believe he means having the web app automatically grab web page icons and use them instead. Good idea, but unfortunately web page icons aren't the same dimensions.
I think this web app is a novel idea, but I find some of the icons rather ambiguous. The icons do have alternate text seen by hovering the cursor over them, but that doesn't help much when it cannot easily be seen on a Windows Mobile device, or any other mobile device for that matter. Perhaps you could allow up to ten characters of text underneath each icon.
Thank you! Thats great!

of course it is like every big browser. we've got a free internetbrowser and they our internet behavior^^
no jk.. maybe^^
its a very good one i prefer it to opera.
technically it's not freeware, it's a "concept version" It will expire at some point..
One day I hope theyll release the proper thing so that those of us who bought the last one can get an upgrade with everything working..
Over gprs in "simple mode" browsing things like this forum is perfect, strips out all the uneeded stuff and makes it very fast.
Not sure if anyone can help. I've been using the NetFront 3.5 Concept browser for a while but I have an issue with it.
For some reason when I am typing text into a webpage using it, be it into google or any other page, the text I am typing doesn't display until I move off the text entry box (tab, or press the right cursor key).
I've been living with it for the last few releases but would really like to get it sorted. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't help.
Typing in usernames / google searches / facebook replies blind is fairly tricky. If I am writing anything other than a few words I tend to drop to notes or Word and then copy and paste.
Apologies if this is the wrong section to post in, but I thought it was somewhere to start.
I'm using a TyTn II branded as an XDA Stella.
Thanks
IAn

Droid explorer for windows.... very cool! Have you seen it? :)

download droid explorer from http://de.codeplex.com/ it gives full root access to your streak like using root explorer. Seems to only be for windows 32 & 64bit but they may have other versions. It also has options to reboot, flash recovery, backup, install (with icons etc..), desktop sms, logcat console, screencast (live screenshot view, im watching myself type on streak from desktop! Which has options for call, home, infact everything.... it fully emulates my streak allowing full control via desktop..very cool), has a colour coded console shell, package signer, sqlite explorer.... list is enless and i havent even looked through tools yet! Has anyone else tried using it?
I saw this on the other post and downloaded it. It rocks. The screencast isn't remarkably fast, but it is the best around.
Thanks
You do have to be rooted, but that isn't a big deal.
Nice find tina thanks will have a play with this
Yeah you need to be rooted but most of the functions are only useful for rooted phones so its fair enough, i enitially posted it in response to a thread where someone needed to flash without fastboot, he was struggling so when I stumbled on this I thought it was a perfect solution... then I realised how cool it is and started a thread to share with everyone
hmmm cud prove useful....nice..
Nice find tina!!!
Though I'd wish the guys that made the screencast app would continue working on it as I've been using the app for a while now and I've posted a few comments/issues about how the screen appears upside down and that all they need to do is allow the user to continue rotating the image around as is just visually upside down and not physically (as in the actual touch area). So for example even though the notification bar appears along the bottom of the screen, you still need to click and drag down from the top, so if the devs just allowed the user to cycle through all 4 orientations then this would be awesome. As well as making the ' and left key work.
As for the rest of the program, I love that I don't have to mount/unmount the SD card no more
Been using that with my hd2 for a while now. You can even sideload apps with it. I had to learn that when messing with my daughters captivate

Fancy a new start screen? Try this!

Lets just make this a general thread, because I've put some work in to this for a couple months and I wasn't too sure what to do with it over in /w/, but here it will get a good following and might be able to do the same at WPCentral.
Feel free to post yours, as I've not done this yet, but it's on my to-do list!
Anyways, I'll start by linking my pastebin and attaching a picture that sums everything else up.
Please note this also includes WP7 for people who might have gotten one as a hand-me-down/free phone.

Also If you have an ATIV S, ATIV S NEO, or an ATIV Odyssey, you can set your own custom accent colors by using SamWP8 Tools and flipping over to the tweak tab. (You must be InteropUnlocked for this to work!)

on my 928. The browser is fully functional and when downloading a .xap file instead of the enterprise apps error I get the trust UCBrowser in WP7 RootTools. No interop cap in the WMAppManifest (not my doing, downloaded this way)yet there is a separate InteropManifest. If only we could put to use the ComXapHandler and WP7RootToolsSDK .dll's contained in the app in the manner they were created for... Any ideas?
