After updating to JB 4.2.2 rom with cm10.1 Bluetooth stereo output is choppy usually and also there is no sound when an incoming call is received with Bluetooth stereo headset is paired...
I am attaching system info for reference please help...
Level of choppy audio depends upon usage of phone ie; more i use phone while listening to songs more choppy audio is, is there any way to fix it, by the way i am using Apollo music player and switching to another player doesn't help and only Bluetooth audio is choppy while wired one awesome

That is a known bug. Please read the OP of the CM10.1 thread.

I recently got me a "Miccus BluBridge BBMR-02" bluetooth receiver to listen to music in the car. I noticed that music sounds a bit distorted. Kinda like if you use AUX input and make it too loud. If I lower the volume it doesn't help.
Now my friend with his iphone 4 connected to the same bluetooth adapter and his music is crystal-clear
I've tried few different roms (CM, stock, Redemption, etc) but they all have this issue. Is it a known issue or it's just my phone?
so your saying you need compression? Have you tried a rom that has DSPManager installed. That app does amazing things.

I've noticed on all of the ROMs that I've installed...with the exception of the Desire HD port...that if I launch whatever music app I'm going to use before the bluetooth headset is paired, I get a choppy audio.
Also, on many of the ROMs out there...there's an audio problem that has been described as "devil's voice." It has to do with how audio is processed in Froyo versus how it was done in the past..."stagefright" I think it's called. Most ROM chefs have a fix for it.
There seems to be no way to listen to music or the soundtrack of a video via Bluetooth a2dp ...
Tried with both the music player and vplayer but each time the sound only comes from the phone speaker and not the Bluetooth device.
Anyone managed this?
It works with the stock rom but I haven't seen any custom roms with it fully operational for media, just for calls.

Thanks, it seems there are a couple of widgets in the market that add the functionality. At least it's not a hardware limitation.
What apps are those? I want to try them please.

I have no problem with the stock ROM but i do use this...
A2DP Volume, you can get it on the market, it's Free.
The one I tried was called bluetooth audio widget, free trial. Will try a2dp volume though as the one I tried seemed to interfere with dsp manager so I installed.
Just tried a2dp volume and it doesn't work for me. That's with leedroid v1.2. Maybe this only works on stock?
Got a2dp volume to work. Seems to do the job well for audio only but has anyone tried watching a video using Bluetooth a2dp for sound? Everything is completely out of sync. I don't there is anyway round this but thought I'd put it out there?
Same with stock player and vplayer.
Just tried Bluetooth audio widget again from the market and this keeps the audio in sync nicely, the only problem being that the quality is pathetic.
Anyone know of a better alternative that keeps audio and video sync?
Does anyone how I can get a mono audio option for sound? I use spotify at work and would like to be able to use only one earphone...but then I miss out on half the sound. I have no issues with PowerAmp, since you can downmix to mono but have trouble everywhere else (TuneIn, Spotify, etc). So anyone know of system wide APK or function that allows for mono audio?
I do this every single day at work with podcasts.
Option 1
A2dp Bluetooth
Option 2
Super mono froyo or BT mono in play store
These "hack" your audio to a non a2dp bluetooth
Edit: I re-read your post and it seems you want better quality rather than the wireless capability. Nevertheless a2dp may still be the easier way to go.

Thanks for the response. I actually got a stereo -> mono 3.5 plug but it doesn't like to fit in the N4...works on just about everything but the N4. I think I'll just look for another stereo -> mono adapter that actually fits as BT wasn't the solution I was looking for.
Hi im experiencing problems with the bluetooth on my LG G2 D802 whenever I pair my phone to a bluetooth handsfree or to a bluetooth speakers all the sound including music skype calls, Line calls, etc. redirect to the earpiece on the phone and not to the bluetooth device, this is very annoiyng since I cannot use bluetooth speakers for music or make phone calls via skype or Line, however the regular phone calls I can hear through the bluetooth handsfree
Is anyone experiencing this issue? any fix?
Do you have the model name/numbers for your hands free and speakers? They have to support a2dp for music.
You could also try an app like this :

The speakers dont have them right now but they work just fine with iPhone and the handsfree is the Samsung Wep490 i dont mind not listening to music in it but why for example skype calls wont go to bluetooth?
I'll try that app and post results
I have lots of issues with bluetooth as well. On the stock 4.2.2 ROM I can stream music, but on my car navigation it won't display song info for most songs and I can't skip songs, and on my Jambox I can't pause from the Jambox. Then on 4.4 ROM's streaming works 50% of the time, the rest of the time I have to manually start it from my phone, but pausing works fine. I found that 4.3 to be the most reliable.
The app didnt Work i just cant use bt properly

I'm using JVC headphones to listen music on my smartphone.
http://www.jvc.pl/product.php?id=HA-S360-E&catid=100060
I noticed that the sound is playing in mono. No matter what I'm using music player sound in headphones always is in mono. This is not problem with headphones, on other hardware plays good.
My OS is Android KitKat 4.4.2, stock ROM with root and xposed. Anyone noticed that issue?
