Hi im experiencing problems with the bluetooth on my LG G2 D802 whenever I pair my phone to a bluetooth handsfree or to a bluetooth speakers all the sound including music skype calls, Line calls, etc. redirect to the earpiece on the phone and not to the bluetooth device, this is very annoiyng since I cannot use bluetooth speakers for music or make phone calls via skype or Line, however the regular phone calls I can hear through the bluetooth handsfree
Is anyone experiencing this issue? any fix?
Do you have the model name/numbers for your hands free and speakers? They have to support a2dp for music.
You could also try an app like this :

The speakers dont have them right now but they work just fine with iPhone and the handsfree is the Samsung Wep490 i dont mind not listening to music in it but why for example skype calls wont go to bluetooth?
I'll try that app and post results
I have lots of issues with bluetooth as well. On the stock 4.2.2 ROM I can stream music, but on my car navigation it won't display song info for most songs and I can't skip songs, and on my Jambox I can't pause from the Jambox. Then on 4.4 ROM's streaming works 50% of the time, the rest of the time I have to manually start it from my phone, but pausing works fine. I found that 4.3 to be the most reliable.
The app didnt Work i just cant use bt properly

Perhaps i have missed something in the reading but when i try to send sound to my bluetooth while using music player or watching a movie, the phone searches for a BT device but never finds one. I do have one paired and it functions fine for calls cept i cant voice dial with it which i also find odd. Any suggestions?

what blue tooth are you using? it needs to have A2DP to stream music or listen to movies or do voice over bluetooth etc.
I use the Motorolla H-17 txt for this feature

I agree with the previous poster sounds like the issue is more with the device you are pairing to. I have no problems sending music or movie audio to the receiver in my car.
Thank you both

Hi everyone,
I picked up my GSIII yesterday (SGH-I747, Bell version from Canada). The phone is a champ, but so far I found fairly serious problem. My car has bluetooth phone functions built in. I paired the phone with it, and it pairs just fine. I can receive and make calls from the car just fine as well, but there is no incoming or outgoing audio. When connected to my car's bluetooth, there is no audio going through my car's speakers or through the phone. It is only when I grab the phone and unclick the "bluetooth headset" button that I can talk on the phone. If I turn "bluetooth headset" back on, there is no sound again. My car worked with my old Blackberry 8330, so the car is fine. It's a 2009 Mercedes-Benz B200, fully loaded, Canadian spec. It has the AUDIO 20 system built in.
My phone specs are as follows:
-stock ROM, not rooted or anything (do we have root yet?)
-Baseband: I747MVLLE8
-Build: IMM76D-I747MVLLE8
The GSII seemed to have the same problem when it came out and it was fixed with a firmware update (http://samsunggalaxysforums.com/showthread.php/5212-Speaker-and-mic-problem-when-calling-someone.)
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
Did u by any chance turned down the volume on the phone?

Bluetooth worked fine in my car. Made a call. And they could hear me and I heard them. This with a Kenwood hdx6980

after pairing did you go into the bluetooth setting for the paired device (car) and check the "call audio" box?

Nope, I checked the volume and everything is turned up the way it's supposed to be.

Yep. It's checked. Moreover, if I uncheck it, the car doesn't connect to the phone.
I'll check my calling this morning, but yesterday I had streaming audio via bluetooth (audible playing a book). The only thing I noticed was that, unlike my old myTouch 4g running CM7, the book didn't stop playing when I turned the car off. That's something I'll have to work out.
EDIT - it's only audible that gives me a problem - looks like a specific app issue.
I'll l have to check if my calls work. All my music and podcast work good. They stop when the car turns off and starts up again when I start the car the next day.
Edit: Just tried it out and incoming and outgoing call sounds work great. No issues here.

I have absolutely no issues with incoming and outgoing calls through Bluetooth in my car. Also, I have no issues playing music through Bluetooth. Possibly try a factory reset on your phone and try again...
It sounds like all your cars support A2DP for playing music. Mine doesn't, it just acts as an old-school bluetooth headset. Can that make a difference?
Mine plays perfectly using Googles Play Music streaming service, also calls work fine, too. This is on my Dodge's U-Connect.
Update: I tried with an old jawbone headset to see if it's a general Bluetooth problem or just specific to my car. The jawbone works like a charm, so it's not a problem with Bluetooth versions or anything like that. But I did notice something interesting: in the Bluetooth options in the gs3 the jawbone comes up with a picture of a phone handset beside it whereas the car has a picture of headphones. I think that's the problem: the phone recognized the wrong Bluetooth profile. I can't seem to delete th car off the list of Bluetooth devices. This is rreally irritating. Any suggestions (short of a total reset)? Thanks!
You might see if there's an update for your car's Bluetooth... if so that might fix your issue.

No go so far. I'll have to try a reset, otherwise wait for an update or some custom ROMs.
Update: I still haven't done the reset, but I went to the Mercedes dealer today. They told me (after almost a day of investigating) that Germany said that the GSIII is forever incompatible with the B200. I think that's pretty dumb because the problem is clearly software, but the dealer seems to be washing its hands of this matter.
Any of you guys experiencing problems with your bluetooth? My phone connects to the car with no problems but no sound comes out from my car's speaker during voice calls. The speaker produces sounds whenever I receive calls(rings), but no audio output is produced once I answer the call. I updated the phone to the latest firmware, but the problem is still persistent. Any feedbacks will be much appreciated.

Search the forum...
Anyway try to enter the settings on the phone for the specific bt device once connceted. There are two checkboxes. One for media and one for phone. Make sure both are checked.
I have various problems with bt too...
I noticed that when the carkit initiates the bt connection its always media only and I have to check the phone myself manually.
Also if on a call and another call waiting incoming call the bt connection drops.

Thanks for the reply, but I also did that prior to posting my dilemma. Even if the car audio is ticked, no sound comes from the speakers during voice calls.

Hi,
all I can say is bad luck.
I have the same problem.
no voice at all during the call by using my Bluetooth.
I have spend 10 hours to search the solution, no luck.
I think the only way to fix it is either to wait Samsung update or root your phone, get the new ROM.

Anytime I connect my wireless headset jawbone icon hd and try to watch a video (YouTube, or any other video on my phone) and listen to it on my headset, audio is always out of sync, lags by at least 1 sec. Does anybody have the same issue? I tried 2 different headsets with the same result.

Here too
Mine does the same thing. I have the LG tones and the blue tooth audio is 1 second behind. Hopefully they fix in an update.
Anybody else experiences same issues? it's very annoying because i always use Bluetooth, I'm just wondering if if it's a problem with all G2's or just few. I don't know if I should call t-mobile to exchange mine or not.

I have Plantronics Backbeat Go 2 bluetooth, and no issues with sound being out of sync
me neither
Called tmobile they told me it's a known issue, went to tmobile store tested 2 other G2's, with 2 different headsets, same issue, i guess we'll have to wait for an update

I use Jaybird bluebuds and am on Verizon. Great sound, no lag - perfect sync
Just got my G2 and I'm having the same problem. I'm using a LG Tone headset, which never had audio/video sync issues on my previous phone (Galaxy Nexus). The problem occurs in MX Player Pro (my player of choice) and the stock video player.
My solution is to use the Dice Player instead, which has an audio sync adjustment. For me, it was enough to offset it by -0.3 sec. The Dice Player isn't as customizable as MX Player, but at least my audio is in sync now. Hopefully LG will fix this issue in the future so I can go back to using MX.
Hi guys, I've recently discovered that the audio doesn't work over Bluetooth on my phone. I'm on my holls in France at the moment and have been using Google Maps to navigate, along with the bluetooth radio in the hire car. I also couldn't get audio to work with a Bluetooth speaker at home the other day.
I can pair the devices just fine.
Bluetooth audio used to work before the Lollipop update.
Could there be a setting somewhere that I may have missed?
