Hey everyone, so I'm in stock jwr66v and my WiFi is off in settings. But it is still using battery power as well as GPS shown in the screenshot. Would this be kernel related or ROM?

copied from pcmag site because I don't know the correct translations from dutch menu -> english menu:
Fire up the Settings app and tap your finger on the Wireless and Networks option. Tap on the Wi-Fi option, and then tap on the Overflow button on your phone's screen (the triple-dots icon). When this submenu pops up, tap your finger on the Advanced option. From there, you'll want to make sure to check the "Scanning always available" option if you want to participate in the new Android 4.3 feature. Otherwise, if it's checked, you need merely to uncheck it to ensure that "Wi-Fi off" really means "Wi-Fi off."
I did that, but thanks for trying to help!

From your homescreen, do Menu-> Settings -> Accessibility. The option should be there.

Any help if you go to: Settings -->General --> Applications --> Choose an app --> uncheck "Show Notifications"
ps. Not exactly sure did I give correct names to menu, as my phone language is not english.
pss. You should get there also if you drop notification bar down and long press the notification --> It give something like App Info --> then uncheck "Show Notifications"

For some reason this does not persist after a reboot. Is this by design, or is it a bug? The toggle is switched off after a reboot, but the notifications are there anyways.
Root> go to es file explorer> delete or rename knox> reboot.
This is how I made it work on note 2.

It acts same way in my phone, so it looks like a bug, but it doesn't matter for me as I don't boot my phone so often it could get annoying..
If I need to re-check them once or twise a week, no big deal
Anyway I hope Samsung will fix it
Yep, it reverts after a reset.
An apology for bumping a thread older than my nephew, but has anyone found a non root method for 7.0 n. ??

I have the screen pinning feature enabled but when I tap the pin icon on recent menu, nothing happens, the app doesn't get pinned. Is the feature working for any of you?
To enable: Settings -> More -> Security and scroll down to the bottom where you'll find an option "Pin Windows"
PS: I'm on Android 5.0.1 build ending with HOD3, Stock Lollipop
No its not working here also... I don't think they have activated it hope the micro update will fix it
Which rom ru using??
Screen pinning is not made available on stock touchwiz rom...
Im using @frapeti 's CM12.1 rom with lollipop 5.1.1 sources
Screen pinning works der...
And no unpinning problems at all
Give a try to it....
You'll love it
Settings --> my device --> accessibility --> dexterity and interaction --> interaction control (enable). Then just go into an app you want to pin and hold vol - and home button at the same time and select "done". To unpin do the same thing. (NOTE: You need to disable multi-window for this to work)

Thanks for the tip. I was just wondering why the native Lollipop Pinning isn't working on stock lollipop.
Hi guys,
i'hv been using moto x play for 6 days now and i'm not able to customize the quick settings, cannot turn off auto-correct and many settings are missing. I am new to lollipop. Please help
I can't customize quick settings too
About the auto-correct, I disabled in Settings > Language & Input > auto-correct. Don't you have this option?
no reboot option

i got the auto correct off, quick settings are not customizable i suppose. One more thing, when i hold the power key i see only power off option, no reboot option available. How to reboot this device then?

When I used the stock Motorola ROM on my old Moto G 2013, the power off was the only option too. I don't know if it's a feature from AOSP or Motorola ROM. To reboot, you can turn off, then turn on or use some third party app. Power Toggles has this feature and doesn't require root. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc
Thanks for the link.
This is my first Moto phone. I will have to do some research and get used it.
In developer settings there is advanced reboot menu option I think?
Sent from my XT1562 using Tapatalk
I'm pretty sure that Google changed the reboot option (as in made it go away) with the release of Lollipop. Don't think Motorola or any of the OEM's had say or part in it. That's why the only option on stock is to power down. I haven't checked out "Power Toggles" to see if that is a viable option for stock un rooted phones. I couldn't take the ads any longer and rooted to use Adaway + Elixir (gives you reboot widget). FWIW.

Didn't find
The auto call feature where you hold the phone up to your ear and say who you want to call, can this be turned off? I know you can disable all gestures in the settings menu. Also, the auto call feature in that gesture menu is different. It only applies to calling the contact displayed on the screen, like a text message or viewing a contact.
Disable the "Auto Call" toggle under "My Voice"in settings, I believe.
