Hello guys
So I flashed the all in one LTE zip. It works fine as I have it set to gsm/LTE/CDMA and usually I get hspa. When I change it to LTE only I get a LTE but for some reasons I am not getting calls. I can call out, but I get nothing when I call myself. Any ideas as to why ?
Because your ROM and radio must match. If your ROM and radio don't match you won't get call audio.

no, its because the kind of lte that we use is for data only, not phone calls. change it to lte/gsm, gsm is for phone calls.

Hi guys
I've been trying to do this since day 1 with this phone. At work I'm in a spot where I get 2 bars of 4G and it reverts back to 3G . This happens all day . Is there a way to turn on LTE only like you can turn on CMDA only?
thanks :good:

I don't think that's possible, as different areas are bound to have weak, strong or very strong signals.
Upppppppppppppppppppppppppp
IO do the opposite. Turn off lte because sometimes I'm getting weak lte but very strong 3g.
use the Telinfo App from the playstore

Firstly, does your network support VoLTE?
VoLTE is not currently supported by any network in the UK, this means you cannot make or receive calls when on 4G.
What happens is when you make or receive a call, your mobile network forces you down onto 3G or even 2G.
Therefore if you find a way to force your phone onto 4G and your network didn't support VoLTE, you will never be able to make or receive calls.
Did it!!
"Advanced Signal Status" from the GooglePlay worked for me on latest 5.0.1 i9515 phone. It was a long time since i wanted to set it work like i needed.. Now my networks are in wcdma/lte only mode, working fine. Recommend!
P.S. Root/Superuser needed
Try adding this line to your features.xml in the csc folder:
<CscFeature_Setting_CustNetworkSelMenu4>LTEONLY</CscFeature_Setting_CustNetworkSelMenu4>
I have N9005 in the UK on EE network. We have 3g, H+ and LTE 4g. In my area I don't get LTE so that os irrelevant.
When I make a call, sometimes I can use data on the phone. For example, whilst on speaker phone, browse XDA.
However, very often, I have no data at all during the call. No 3g, no H+.
The problem is not data signal, as when the call ends I can easily use data.
So, does anybody have this issue?
Also, can anyone explain why?
F. Y. I it is GSM in the UK.

if you have a data signal while on a call your in a H+ area anything lower the data signal drops for the call

yep basically only a H+ signal supports voice and data together. i had it since sgs2 just sort of learnt to put up with it
My understanding has always been that only Three network could use data during a call. Unless I'm wrong.

does your wireless carrier support phone call and data usage simultaneously. You probably need to call your wireless carrier and find out. Goodluck

YOU don't get LTE because N9005XXUDMJ6 firmware
My one is same, wait for N9005XXUDMK2 firmware or just make clean instal with odin v3.09,Then you will get 4g/lte,
Yesterday i had same issue with calls,,when i make call or receive call data signal was gone its all related to N9005XXUDMJ6 firmware Just install N9005XXUDMK2 then everything will be fine....
Anyone experienced that the phone just stop receiving any call at all but the signal bars are full?

I read these but it mentioned N5 only,
but I did experienced this problem couples of time in different days and it last for so long that I didn't know at all
(only found out when someone did leave me voice mail and it popup)
I am using 4.4.2 rom with hybrid modem LTE enabled,
I am trying with LTE disabled right now and see if the issue fixed.
If you dial *#*#4636#*#* it'll bring up a menu. Click phone information and make sure if you wanna use LTE make the selection to LTE/GSM auto not LTE Only. I've has that problem and i could receive calls or texts. If you wanna go back to HSPA+ use WCDMA Preferred. Hoped that helped

I use LTE/GSM auto already and this still occurs.
I am turning LTE off right now cox missing calls is more serious than having higher speed

It could be your radio, hopefully switching to use LTE every time you want to use it isn't that much of a pain

Doesn't do it every time but many times after a call hangs up the 6P is on 3G. I live right next to a tower so this shouldn't be happening. Never happens on my Nexus 5. Can anyone on Sprint try to duplicate this ?

LTE networks (4G) don't generally support voice calls (only a handful of networks around the world have launched VoLTE), so the phone has to switch to a 3G or a 2G network to handle both incoming and outgoing calls.
If you have a good 4G signal, it should only take a few moments to switch back to 4G after the call ends, but if your phone is sending/receiving any data at the time, it might stay on 3G/2G to finish that off.
What you said is correct , on Sprint the phones switch to 3G to take the voice call. After hanging up my Nexus 5 and LG G3 both instantly switch back to LTE where the 6P often remains stuck on 3G for some period of time .
Could be sending data but I would think I'd see the same behavior on my other phones. Not a deal breaker but curious if anyone else on Sprint sees the same behavior.

Can anybody on T-Mobile confirm that VoLTE is working? I received the stock OTA a couple of days ago by removing the sim card first. Band 12 is enabled and gets engaged from time to time (I can see it using LTE Discovery), but every time I make or receive a call the phone drops LTE and changes to H and 3G. The Enhanced 4G LTE Mode option is enabled. Isn't it supposed to keep LTE during the call if VoLTE is working?
I'm in Miami, FL.

Enhanced 4G LTE enabled here, phone calls keep to the phone in LTE mode (as well as enabling high speed data while on calls)

Thank you for confirming this. I guess I will have to try with a different sim card.

Can you explain "Enhanced 4G LTE"? I don't see the option obviously anywhere in my settings, so it might be because I'm on AT&T at the moment, but I'm considering switching for economical and VoLTE reasons.
Also, could you give me any advice on whether I should be able to get away with a tablet SIM or if I'd need a phone SIM. If VoLTE and/or Google Voice work properly, I expect that I should be able to still make and receive calls. Is that unrealistic?
