Actually the problem is that my galaxy s4 is waking up or i can say unlocking automatically ..When phone is locked, something wakes it up.When I am using the phone it blinks, showing the clock briefly and returns to what I was busy with (not even 1 second)
also when i am in middle of call , the phone sometimes disconnects itself ........... these things happen more often when phone tries to connect to the internet.....when i disable the mobile data , everything becomes fine...
my galaxy s4 is rooted with stock rom....its i9500 octa core.
I am also facing the same prob. Tried a lot to find out the culprit but couldn't. Did u find what is causing this?

I have galaxy s4 i9500.
I have rooted it yesterday and again flashed the stock rom again.
Now my phones screen flashes randomly, while playing landscape games(mostly 3d games are available in landscape mode only) it automatically turns portrait for a fraction a second.
Even someone calls me, the answer and end keys goes in the top portion of the screen just like a s view cover though i am not using it.
Has anyone observed such issue and what is the solution for it coz i have rooted it again but the issue is still there cant rectify it.....

May be some bad files causing this did u try Reset ?
I tried that also..but its not working... when i rooted it first time i hab undercloced the cpu to 1200 mhz and flashed stock rom without setting it to normal... is it happening due to that?

maybe u need to reset ur phone like factory reset but first try turning cpu back to normal

I have several problems with my Galaxy S4 after I have reset it to the standard attitudes.
1.) The phone sometimes just turns off for about 20 seconds and the Samsung logo applies on the screen. In this time I can´t do anything and have to wait. It happens when I unlock the screen or do nothing or do phone calls or open the camera etc. Just every now and then.
2.) Sometimes everything is really slow motion. The camera, the reaction of the switching etc. Then I have to restart the phone to avoid this.
3.) Sometimes the phone also switches automatically in the safe mode. There I can not see or click any third party apps.
4.) Sometimes I also cannot open anything when I unlock the screen. Then I have again to lock and unlock it.
What can I do ? Please help

all these are software problem
go to sammobile.com/firmware and download compatible stock rom
then check a tutorial to Flash ROM By Odin...
the fresh rom may solve ur problems

I have this really rare problem from time to time, my screen starts to turn on and off with some green lines tearing and artifacting. This effect continues when I trigger screen movement (any screen action, like scrolling) until I reboot. Rebooting dosent seem to fix the problem instantly (it's coming back as soon as the phone goes past the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 logo) but it goes away rapidly after reboot when I do so.
Strange fact: this seems to occur when I'm outside and the weather is cold (minus 1 or 2 celcius) and It never happened with a battery over 60%.
Anyone has a cue on the problem? Is it hardware related? If it is, how come the post-android boot screen dosen't seems to be affected ?
Model number is 910U on Fido network in Canada.
it happens to me very frequently on my galaxy s4 value edition i9515. That sometimes when my phone is locked and i m trying to unlock it, it freezes and it doesnt responds the screen stays black, then i need to press the power button for some seconds continuously to restart. this problem has happened with android 4.4 and now with 5.0.1 stock android. i did once tried to install custom roms and my knox is out of warranty.
this problem happens once every few days and extremely random! i cannot get any conclusion on what causes it and i already installed the original rom many times and some times with very few apps installed, although this doesnt make a difference i tried not touching anything as well...
does this happens to other users as well? or did anyone had the same problem and found the solution? or any advice?
i reallly like this phone and i dont want to buy another one just because of this, or even to move away from android because its just dont working!
Imagine i cant trust my alarm anymore, it has happed not to ring and to loose apointment............

Hi, I'm looking for fix the issue on my friend's phone.
Sometimes his phone restarts unexpectedly.
I thought that could be a battery issue but my friend said me that for a long time the issue can not happen..and that f.e. when he leaves the phone on table it can restarts even if you don't use it (to exclude an issue on contacts battery-phone).
