Please help! Soft bricked i9500 - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

im in need of urgent help..i think i soft bricked my s4 when trying to restore my efs backup.
i tried downgrading my firmware to mf8..and the modem was flashed as well.
When i checked the imei it was null.
so i went on to restore it using method 2 on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2392632&page=6
After i put everything into the terminal and it was restored, i rebooted my phone.
Now my phone is stuck at samsung boot logo!!
i tried restoring from my nandroid backup but it didnt work..still stuck at boot logo, i tried restoring the rom to stock, still stuck at boot logo.
Basically no matter what i do, its not booting and its stuck at boot logo.
I can access download mode and cwm recovery. On stock recover i get the error message "failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument)"
is there anything i can do at all?
i still have multiple backups of my efs folder..i just dont know how to restore it
please help

I'd suggest doing a flash of the stock firmware via ODIN.

Tried that, still no luck

You can try via kies. Do not connect the phone yet. Pull the battery out and use the information you can see there. Ooen kies Go to upgrade settings and find the one that ask you for your model. Fill the blank, then enter your s/n. A window will show up asking you again. Accept. And kies is suppose to start dowloading the firmware. Make sure to conect the device in dowload mode before it finishs dowloading.
Im not saying it gonna work 100% for you but i had restore a couple samsung devices using this method.
I prefer odin btw.

i downloaded latest software version for my phone (MG9) and flashed it but it didnt work (still stuck at boot screen).
I then tried flashing it with adonis.pit and that still didnt work (stuck at boot screen)
however the boot sound cuts out at the boot screen and im not sure what could cause that, and in stock recovery im getting failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument)

bump?

Tried this, didnt work.

I've had the issue with being stuck on the boot screen before - and it was because I wasn't deleting my cache before flashing the new firmware. Do this from within recovery :good:

Flash an older modem with Odin, that should solve your poblem, look in my signature for available modems.

Help! Cannot mount /data

I've been having issues right now where im getting my device to boot up ONCE, and then it freezes on the Samsung Galaxy S4 logo, and its having issues mounting /data which i think is why its not booting. To get it to even boot fully i have to format /data and do a full factory reset, and it will boot up a restored nandroid once.
I tried odin flashing to stock, but i cant even get it to boot up past the Samsung Galaxy S4 logo again. When i go into stock recovery i get the broken android with a triangle, and it says below cannot mount /data.
I don't know why this is happening, I have been switching between my 2 nandroid backups flawlessly for a month and only now im having issues :l.
If it doesn't say custom just go get a new one under warranty. ^_^ Save yourself some time if you have a backup.

It's on Stock Official firmware now, but it says Custom. This is right after an Odin flash, so there is no root or anything.
Now i tried flashing CWM, but upon trying to enter recovery it just hangs on recovery booting.

[Q] i9500 Bricked? i'm stucked here, guys

So, I've been trying to restore EFS on my i9500 after i couldnt make calls anymore and use 3G internet.
just WIFI. (before that, tried to flash new latest modems, which didn't help at all).
So,as i said, tried to restore EFS with method 2 (.img) - and since then my phone isn't booting anymore.
its always stuck in the blinking "SAMSUNG" bootloop.
I've tried to flash a stock russian rom with ODIN - same story. BOOTLOOP.
I've tried to flash via CWM recovery some custom roms like LIDROID etc - still Bootloop.
Kinda bricked...
What can i do now? :\
NOTE:
When i've tried the 2nd method of restoring efs.img file - I've restarted the phone. Since then the phone hasn't booted.

Bootloop error even after flashing stock rom with odin (G531H)

So, even after I flash the stock rom with odin, it starts then at setup a bunch of "this app has stopped working" errors and cant access the system, I even tried flashing a bunch of custom roms(through TWRP since I can use odin no problem) and they all get stuck on the logo(waited for an hour before flashing a different one) Dont know what to do.
After flashing the stock rom and accesing the stock recovery i get a "Unable to mount /efs Invalid comand" error
Has anyone faced a similar problem
EDIT: after about 20 mins, the boot logo animation gets really slow (for any custom rom) but it never gets passed that

I think you did some changes to your device that made the efs partition corrupt. I think the only thing you can do is take your device to Samsung to get it fixed. I am sure that the efs partition is causing the issues.

Hey, look
Install the official firmware (stock firmware) via Odin, then turn off your phone
Then, go to the stock recovery and wipe cash and data
And finally, turn on youe phone
If it doesn't boot up (stuck at bootloader)
Remove your battery and try again
You're welcome

Boot stuck in recovery

Hello. I have tried to install a rom via twrp on my grand prime g530FZ and apparently i succeeded, but after the installation i rebooted the device and it rebooted into the recovery, so i tried again but the same thing happens. No matter what i do it always boots in the recovery and when it boots a yellow text appears which says: Warranty bit set : recovery". I have also tried to restore from a nand backup that i made but nothing, always the same problem with the same text. I have also tried to flash another version of twrp thinking that maybe it was a problem of my current one, but nothing, same thing. I can't use my phone now, what can i do?

[SM-J530F] IMEI and Baseband unknown even with EFS backup

Hi guys !
I've got a Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 (model SM-J530F) with IMEI and Baseband unknown. I also have a full (working) backup of it.
I did mess with my EFS partition, and had no IMEI nor baseband. My phone did not even want to boot (EFS invalid argument something like that) so I flashed TWRP via ODIN, and used my backup to restore my phone. Now it boots, but I have no IMEI and my baseband still says "Unknown". If I flash a stock firmware or just a baseband, ODIN says "success" but the baseband is still unknown. The IMEI is not a problem in itself, only the baseband that I can't restore. So if you have ideas to restore it I'm taking it ^^'
Sh*t, I used ODIN to go back to stock but forgot to disable FRP Lock and OEM unlock, I'm now stuck either in Download Mode but can't do anything from it (except flash stock ROM) but it then goes to stock recovery but I can't do anything in it too, it's only the sick android bot with yellow triangle. Can't even try to restore my Nandroid backup :'(

I.ve lost IMEI on J530F ... i think i.ve checked erase EFS in Odin..
tried lots but no succes.
I can't even flash stock rom ... odin finished in 3 seconds with no succes.
please help.
