From your previous posts, I can tell you like comparing your phone to others.
If you are not pleased with it, just sell it because no one is going to justify keeping their s3.
The iPhone 5, Note 2, and Lumia all have their pros and cons buy the one which you think you can live with. In a few months they will all be obsolete, that's how technology works.

Best all rounder there is the S3
Fluid
Simple UI (Touchwiz JB version)
Great camera
Micro SD
Decent size
Nice build/design
Nice screen
Mature OS
Removable Battery
Excellent CPU/GPU
All at a decent price now
I;ve cracked my S3 screen
But I am definitely replacing it with another one.

Best form in the world
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
iPhone 5 is already using obsolete tech, note 2 while better than S3 is too big 4.8in screen is perfect for me and lumia is made by a company way past its peak now.
This logic (almost as good as the logic in the op) says S3 is still best. Go S3, oh and this will probably get locked soon.

I just wished that Samsung did a better job on screen life after dropping! The new iPhone takes a beating but I love my s3 too much

Yawn! You guys should know by now that S3 vs ??? threads aren't allowed....moderator please lock! Sick and tired of seeing these stupid threads!

I have used the Motorola Defy since last December, I have loved and tweaked this phone since day one, but time is getting on, I run Quarx's CM10 and Its perfect but I want more, a bigger screen and more power!
What would be the best phone to get next I'm currently looking at the Samsung galaxy S3 and both the notes.
Any help?
Sent from my cm_tenderloin using xda app-developers app
My personal choice would be Motorola Razr or Sony Xperia Acro S. They both have enough power(to my needs). As far as I know they are bulletproof like our defy's . And I think Razr is much cheaper than S3... Hope this helps...
Not a big fan of Sony's phones, but the RAZR does look great, battery, HD and performance, but very expensive !!

Let me know what you get. I'm in the same boat. Always running out of storage space on my Defy running CM7.2.
Good luck.

I remember CM7 good old days, I never thought we would get JB and I'm worried we may not get key lime pie! Which is why I'm considering the upgrade. The note 2looks great, big screen and fast. Has anyone tried any other phone and thought "Damn" or "Niceee"

Might as well wait a week for CES and see what kind of phones (and specs) are going to be the norm in 2013. A 1080p screen and 2gb RAM are going to be the new high end benchmark. Sony Xperia Z (1080p, 2GB, quadcore) is rumored to be releasing in Jan itself. And when more phones with similar specs come out, the current crop will likely get cheaper.

Hmm...In Uk Razr is cheapest phone amongst Xperia and S3... Razr Maxx is quite expensive, but i dont think it is worth extra money. Razr i is more than enough for me and it costs about 330£(+-400€)... Thats would be my personal choice, and i know that that would last me for another 3 years, same as defy...
I guess the RAZR is cool, and will last a good few years, hard decision to make

Honestly I don't think the Nexus 5 is worth giving up the Nexus 4 just yet unless you are in dire need of the 32gb space which I guess most of you are. I think I'll hold on to my Nexus 4 for one more year and then make the leap to the Nexus 6 or whatever they'll call it.
I think Google will support the N4 for at least one more year and if not we always have these lovely devs.
What are y'all thoughts? PLEASE NO TROLLING OR DISRESPECTFUL COMMENTS

I guess it depends on what features are most important to you but to me the next Nexus must blow this phone completely out of the water before I trade it in. I mean don't get me wrong but I would of definitely purchased the Nexus 5 if I didn't have the Nexus 4

Completely agree. As for the fragile thing you only hear from the complainers. You never hear from the happy people.
Look after your phone and you'll not have a problem. Never understood how phones end up in toilets is it really necessary.

I get that but I wouldn't say any large smartphone has any building site in mind. That's what those cases that are bulky and look way over protective for the everyday person are for

You do have a point but keep in mind some users may not have the money or may not even know where to get a case for the N4. Idk. I'm glad I don't fall under the "Nexus 4 is fragile" category. I love the design though.

If I were to guess I'd say the price tag might start at around $380 for the 16gb maybe even more. To me it just isn't worth it if you have a Nexus 4 already.

Not worth it for me ether. I've never been one for upgrading every single year I don't see the point in paying that much to do the same thing but slightly quicker.
I tend to upgrade every 2-3 years
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
In my opinion, it will be the same price as the Nexus 4 was on release.. I don't think there is anything that looks like it is going to be more expensive than the components were when the Nexus4 came out. If it is cheap enough, I would be happy to upgrade once a year, sell the old phone and be only a little bit out of pocket

I think the key indicators of it being slightly more expensive than the N4 is the 4.9 inch screen, 1080p slightly larger battery and pressure sensor (whatever that is). I could be wrong but I'm willing to bet it will be slightly more.

To me there's not much of a major update to the successor (Nexus 5) for me to dish out more money.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It depends on what you use your phone for on weather it will be an upgrade.
For instance I use my phone quite often for playing my old psx games so the extra storage is a godsend.
Also I prefer to play them using opengl graphics as they look so much better however currently opengl only runs single threaded so it can be quite laggy.
If the nexus 5 does include the rumoured 2.3ghz s800 then it would provide a massive improvement to the framerates and would be a great upgrade for me
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
My solution is really easy for this problems. Since Google doesn't sell devices here through the Play Store, I fall under the pricing of LG, which will be ridiculously high as always, so even if I wanted to purchase this phone, I couldn't for an affordable price.
I'm glad they are keeping a leash on my finances.

I love my Nexus 4 and I complain about its fragility all the time. It's the first phone I've owned that I have had to put a bumper or a case on. I don't know any other phone that can literally slide off a table with a slight slope.
