Hey guys I have a question about the android system process.
I have the app Du Battery Saver installed and it shows that my android system process used 41.8% of my total battery since 7am. The process only shows up in Du Battery but not in the system battery tab.
Please have a look at the screenshots and tell me if thats a normal battery usage.

It looks pretty normal to me.
By the way, what ROM are you running and is there a specific reason why you need that App?
Most of the AOSP ROMs give you pretty good mileage.
Hey, thanks for your reply!
I'm running on stock rom, rooted and with TWRP installed. I used the TrulyClean script and removed some other apps with NoBloat. So I thought I've deleted some apps which can cause high CPU when they're missing...
No there is no reason why I need this app, I just was interested which apps use much CPU.
I thought I might install Cyanogenmod but there are only nightly builds availabe for i9505 right?
Thanks, Surroot

hey..
looking at yr screenshots, it look like Google Services is running 15%, which is the cause the battery to drain.
I'm sure there's wakelock in yr device.
Try using better battery stats app to find the problem.
Thank you, I try this program
It looks much better today. I didn't use it much, but i think this battery drain is normal.
Thank you all for your help, thread can be closed

where can i see and use features and settings? i only use home button to nav on multitasking where can i see the rest of the stuff? but i really love this mod
i prefer this one ^^
wow nice. I like this over the stock one, so to speak. Only one problem: opposite background. Would appreciate some transparency.
Thanks

Also noticed it removed my honey comb battery indicator and restores out to the standard one. And reinstalling that removes this mod.

Probably this mod changes the SystemUI.apk, the one responsible for the battery indicators. In order to have both mods you have to merge the changes to the SystemUI.apk.

i think its cause it modifies system UI settings wich includes the battery indicator so for now if u flash in recovery one of the things u cant have the other one, or u can modify the system in phone... i think its explained how in the aurora mods thread.
i updated to last version yesterday and im using multitasking but if i go to settings of phone and ask to use percentage indicator of battery it wont show cause my sistem UI is modified...
if im wrong im sorry and please correct me... hope its helpfull
I absolutely love my Nexus 7 and even though it' one of the C60k models that are supposed to have defects I have yet to experience one of the known issues. However, recently I made the mistake of trying to flash a custom ROM. I used Mskips Nexus 7 toolkit to root and then proceeded to install TWRP 2.2.1 since I have read there have been problems with some of the other recoveries. I was getting GREAT battery life off of the stock ROM but now since I installed the EOS rom my battery life has been dropping over 5% an hour. I am NOT blaming the ROM for this problem I'm just curious as to what could be causing this. Could it be a bad flash? If so, What are some method's I could try to restore my tablet or to fix this problem? Any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated! I've tried reading up as best as I could before I asked but I still haven't gotten anywhere.
If I ever do get this resolved what would be the best ROM / Kernel setup to use or would it be best to wait till development increases a bit and we get some stable builds such as Rasbean?
Thank you in advance to the many great members here at XDA.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

It's very common for battery life to change when you change roms. Different roms manage things in different ways.
Try doing a factory reset and flashing the stock rom and see if the issue is still there. If not, reflash the rom before installing anything else.

It seems to have improved since reverting to stock but does this battery life seem to be normal? It also appears that my WiFi stays on all the time.

you will notice a difference in battery drain if you change kernels. The stock kernel is great with battery life, so thats why I kept it. I'm using a custom ROM (Paranoid Android) and i dont notice any difference in battery life vs stock

Does anyone know what these logs are? there seem too be alot of them, can i del them?
My phone has been flashed many times but i always factory reset after flash.
Those aren't logs dude.
They are the files needed for the battery charging animation.
.qmg is also the format that the stock Samsung boot animation is in.

so i cannot del any of them?
Well not if you want to see the battery charging animation....
It won't harm your phone if you do delete them, you just won't see the charging animation.
Why would you want to delete them though? They just sit there minding their own business, they don't take up much space, only 1.6mb!

haha. alright alright, since you have pleaded for them, i shall be merciful. just let them be...
Sorry to bring up an old thread,
..but I am interested in installing these over a cm10 installation because when I installed cm10 my phone has no battery charge animation now (and none of these files are in that /system/media directory anymore)
I will attempt to restore that functionality by putting them back. As briefly discussed in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36012738
Does anyone know which ones I'll need?
battery_charging_xx.qmp
^I am sure I'll need all of those
It's the other ones I'm confused about:
battery_batteryerror.qmg
battery_error.qmg
chargingwarning.qmg
Disconnected.qmg
^are any of these unrelated to the powered off charge animation?
Best regards,
Shawn

Does that Rom support German too?
Only three languages are included: English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
ah ok.
Thats a bit sad. But hopefully we will get some Rls with many Languages
ROM runs pretty god it flows compared to original color ROM! No bugs ,fcs or lags also.

i cant download
One day in so far so good. My only comment is that I had to flash the 4.2 g-apps package on top of it as the Play Store was no where to be found. Battery life seems pretty good.

This seems to a sync/update problem with google frameworks, however after a second reboot it seems to initialize correctly.
Thanks for your work.
My findings:
- I have trouble making app-folders on any homescreen.
- when moving the existing app-folder (tools) to any homescreen, it does not succeed.
Otherwise...good and fast.
Hi. Can someone please mirror the download.
Thanks
Thanks works very well.
thank, good work :good:
And you dont using any custom kernel for this ?

me too. cellular network using more power.
This Color Rom version is very smooth and working good on every functions that all I need .
But only one thing Battery life not good enough for me (cellular network & Stand by Process drains a lot Battery).
Kernel may be causing problems I guess.
Updated to ColorOS 4.2 [130808 Stable]
it now uses a custom kernel based on maxwen kernel, should reduce battery consumption.
I have a charging problem with the 4.2 [130808 Stable] update.
My charger was not detected.
Charging with the usb port from pc is ok also another carger works?

Greenify and use a debloated ROM with build.prop tweaks.
I would also try a different ROM and install greenify. Maybe AOSP will serve you a longer lasting Battery.
You could also download and flash a custom kernel and do some underclocking [emoji14]
