Have a problem with the latest update to IP Cam Viewer so I figured no problem using Titanium Backup to revert to the previous one. Had app backed up. Uninstalled app, then used TB to reinstall the previous version. It all worked fine for a short time but now after opening the app, it works for a minute or so then it minimizes itself and a message pops up saying "Please uninstall and reinstall from the Google Play store". I can bring the app up from minimized but it will not work correctly until I dump it and restart it...then only for a minute or so. I had the impression that re-installing an app from a TB backup was easy but it has not worked well with IP Cam Viewer Pro. Android newb here so be gentle if you have any ideas...
Rooted N7 and N7 2013, same problem on both units. Paid for the app from the Play store so not a piracy issue.

I have a rooted Acer Iconia A500. Working pretty well. However, starting this morning I am getting an error whenever I click on the content folders, the message is "The application ApinAp (process com.acer.app) has stopped unexpectedly" and I have to force close. I was able to access it yesterday. In manage applications, the cache for this app is empty, and I tried clearing the data twice and rebooting the tablet. I suppose that I can unroot, and do a factory restore, and re install my apps (I did a full Titanium backup, but unfortunately only after this error started), but does anyone have a simpler suggestion to fix this?
Bill
So no one has suggestions? Does anyone least have a copy of a working version of the app so I could uninstall and reinstall it?
Hmmm...okay no replies here, so I restored re-rooted, and Apinap was working again. Then I restored all my user apps from Titanium backup, and it was not working again. So I knew it was an app, not the rooting that caused the problem. So I batch uninstalled all my user apps, and sure enough it was working again. Then I reinstalled the apps one by one, being very conservative about which ones I pulled data from, and checked the Apinap program after every restore. Well now I have just about every app restored, and it is still working. So I am still not quite sure what the problem was....
I have the same issue launching hero of sparta from the games app that came with the iconia. I did buy hero of sparta direct from gameloft.

Same issue here. ..with Multimedia app and social app

Just started happening to me, seems that Juice Defender is the culprit, uninstalled and all working again, reinstalled and apinap forece close so Juice defender removed until an update.
sorry guys for interruption , but i can i ask a question? why do u need this "appinapp" app, is it difficult to just launch needed app without it? ive deleted it soon as ive bought a tablet
Same here. the culprit was juice defender. uninstalled and everything went back to normal.
First post here!
I got my Iconia yesterday. I rooted, I installed Titanium and copied the backup folder from my phone. I installed most apps (apart from some phone specific ones) with their data (hoping to keep things like angry birds scores ) and got the same Apinap error. I removed a few apps but still no improvement. And I haven't installed juice defender or something like that.

a) It looks cool and it's a nice option to have
b) If you delete it, you won't be able to update, apparently.
Ditto. Juice Defender did it to me as well! Uninstalled and everything is back to normal. Funny that it decided to take a dump all of a sudden. I've been using JD since I purchased my A500 a couple weeks ago.
Just picked up my Galaxy S3 today on the Sprint network. I'm trying to change the owner information displayed on my lock screen. Whenever I launch the Owner Information section under the settings/security menu, the phone goes to a black screen and then comes back stating "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped."
Has anyone else noticed or experienced this, or can you replicate the issue?
Thanks.

I've got the same problem. No Idea what could help. Did you find anything out?
Nope, mine works fine
Same problem. The last time I had the same problem with language and input and I noticed it happened because I had disabled s voice. This time I don't know what is causing the issue. Some app might be coming in the way. I have avast anti theft installed so that may be causing the problem. Not sure.
Which carrier do you have? I have Sprint, and my owner information works fine.
Unlocked international version.
I finally made a factory reset and then selected NOT to restore from my Google account. Then it worked fine. I only had to do the settings again. The user apps I could restore with Titanium Backup.
Everything OK now.
I don't wanna reset my phone. There has got to be another way.
So strange that something like owner info would crash. I've reset my phone 3 times in a week and had no problems with it.

Interesting...glad you worked it out but in contrast, I always restore from Google and my owner info works fine. But stranger things have happened. I lost copy/paste after rooting, ended up flashing the stock AT&T rom that's rooted and deodexed and all has been well ever since. Go figure
I think there's a bug (either by Samsung or by Google) when restoring from the Google account. When I select to restore from the Google Account my S3 takes the data from my tablet and I suppose that it cannot handle the information I stored in the owner information of the tablet.
I am pretty sure, all of us who are having this problem have something in common. Some app in all probability cause it does not seem to be a very common problem.

Spot any common apps apart from the pre-installed apps?
Hello,
I'm having a major problem when loading the camera on the main user. It simply crashes...
Let me just explain better the problem and the background situation.
My wife has a N7 2013 that I offered her on her birthday. She is the main user. I also use her nexus so I'm the secondary user.
When I try to launch camera on her user, it simply crashes... Needless to say that I already clean app's data and so on...
When kitkat was released, I grab some of the the apk of several applications that were leaked, hangouts, keyboard, camera/gallery, etc... and upgrade those apps over my user account... I tried them all and all run fine on my user... as I knew that if I installed an app over my user account, that app instantanely is updated (if installed) on the main user account. So I never tested all those apps upgrades...
After that, Kitkat came to N7 and I sideloaded it. A few days ago it updated to the last version via OTA.
Yesterday I was testing something over my wife's user and by accidentally I found out the Camera just wont work!!! It crashes immediately when launched. Going to the Application Manager, on the all app tab, I discovered that the camera app was there but was marked as "Not Installed" down the bottom list.
I tried several things, cleared app settings, installed again from taking the apk from /system/app, nothing...
Also gallery was crashing but I think after I installed the apk from /system/app and worked again.
The other apps (that came with kitkat) work fine and are installed
Is there a way, without factory reset Nexus, to get back Camera on my wife user ?? Any adb command??
I have no idea if this could even be answered in these forums, but here goes.
I use Vaulty to hide pictures on my phone with a password. Restoring data and app has always worked from TB, from phone to phone or ROM to ROM. Today I flashed a custom OOS ROM and it didn't go so well.
Behavior: Hangs/ freezes during any kind of gallery search or media loading. This eventually results in a force close. The settings work, but if you try to switch accounts, it will hang on the screen where it's trying to find old vaults.
Things I have done: Force close the app, clear data, clear cache. Uninstall and reinstall from Play Store. Uninstall and restore only app from TB. Froze 3rd party gallery apps. Set the default gallery app. I even installed another vault program - Vault. This app won't even load up AT ALL. It goes black immediately upon trying to open it. This led me to think something else might be going on.
Has anyone seen anything like this? Anything I could try?

I actually managed to recover the pictures, saved them of the phone and switched to keepsafe, it works better. I found that adding the app manually and logging in, trying to restore just data from TB, and a bunch of other combinations finally allowed me to recover the pictures. This was a while back so I don't remember exactly but eventually I got it.

Thanks for the response. My problem is, I have old vaulty backup on my phone and no app installed. Today I tried to install app to recover my backup. But it went blank screen as soon as I open my app. Tried different apks of different versions from net. But it won't go beyond black screen. Tried all cleanup, cache removal from twrp and from app settings. But same. Aldo tried to install different vault app to check what happen and surprisingly it also freeze at app startup screen and won't go beyond black screen. I think it's ROM problem and some file would be corrupted which belongs to vault apps working. Last resort is to flash fresh ROM and try. (I even didn't restore app backup from tb as I didn't have one. Always installed fresh app from play store)

I went as far as to try to find out how to convert those proprietary .vaulty files back to pictures with some kind of file converter online. I didn't get very far with that method but that might be the last resort. I think I ended up flashing another ROM at the time too and maybe it was dumb luck that I was able to get it back.
The first thing I did when I got this phone (Verizon XT1585) a couple months ago was to upgrade it to the latest (25.226.5) stock ROM, then factory reset. I then disabled a bunch of the stock apps, of which I will provide a list below. I enabled unknown sources, under security in settings, and was able to install downloaded apk's such as an old version of Google camera (I like the photo sphere function) and Seven Adclear. In fact, it was in trying to run the update that Adclear keeps bugging me about that I discovered this issue.
The behavior is essentially that I cannot tap the install button when trying to install downloaded apk's. The button is not greyed out, just won't accept clicks. Clicking cancel works fine. I have ruled out any touchscreen issues with that and any other region of the screen.
I have tried clearing cached data from the storage item under settings, as well as wiping the cache partition under settings. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any option for dalvik cache anywhere.
Any ideas?

there is an app that is causing an overlay problem. Many times apps that assist with brightness settings will not allow you to install apps while they are running. Like Lux, Darker, etc.
Lux! That was it!!!
