Yeah, to encourage people to try without having to buy - it's a weird psychological thing, people won't spend $0.99 on an app they're not sure about, but will happily put down $3.99 for a cup of coffee that might not be that good tasting
One suggestion would be to just include a few topics (50?) and no search, favorites, share etc. But you're the best judge of what you think might be enought to give a taste but still encourage some portion to lite users to buy the full version.

The app is now completely free. You propose to have two versions? We thought of it before launching, but went for the full and free version. We wanted to see how many people who downloaded it. I think you're absolutely right. Thanks for your feedback. Which Android version are you using? We have not received any similar feedback. Did you try to start the app again and let it load finish?

Hey, this is awesome app! Maybe you could add sound. You`ll put bluetooth in ear plug and when you are stuck, you just play some topic through smartwatch when you are stuck. Just kidding. I like this App!

What is the world coming to...?
Airpush is nothing but adware in my opinion. Infecting your system with advertsements in places they shouldnt be.
Also if people that make malicious software start implementing airpushs code to access the notification bar.... Thatd really be frustrating.
I for one would NEVER download an app that uses this method to advertise. The developers deserve to make money, but not by annoying the hell out of the consumer.

I hate it when apps put something up there advertising their other apps, I will rage so hard if this pops up one day.
it's one thing to have ads within apps that run on their own, but to inject them into the notification/windowshade is beyond intrusive. no way in hell would I install anything that utilizes this

Google has already blocked/removed some apps doing this. Personally, I don't think its bad... have a full/clean screen for gaming, and I can just drop-down and clear without my screen being an ad....

Lol. No, it's not against the rules.
Google only removed the apps because of the number of people that reported them as MALICIOUS. That goes to show how little Google Polices their marketplace, though. They had absolutley no clue about this. It was just an overreaction on their part in those cases.
It's not against market rules, and it's not against the UI guidelines. Google needs to crack down. This would never happen in i.e. iOS or WP7 where they apps are actually checked before allowed to be posted to the marketplace. They'd get rejected in a new york setting.
And there is too much wrong with that. The notification bar is not for Ads. I don't even think Applications like Beejive/Trillian/etc. should be allowed to put their huge "Hi I'm running" things in the notification bar, either. It makes getting to the notifications too clunky esp with how much room these things take on a 4" screen...

The app that was removed, the developer wrote a very nice article stating that it violated policy and that is why his app was removed from the market, without any warning.
It is BS, I dont mind having ad during the game (like the flash ad in the browser).
But it is definitely a malware if there is ad popup from my desktop taskbar without opening anything
Upgrade hasn't rolled out, but look forward to this soon!

I'd like a market that doesn't forget my downloads and break my links. Other than that, they can make it look like 1998 Geocities page for all I care.
What's up with all the hating on the new design? That's just the page that opens up the first time! Who knows what the rest of the market is like and how they sort and list their apps. I'm just saying don't be so quick to judge it.
I'd like a market where you can get rid of the god damn pay apps that are utterly useless or don't use or ever plan to use again.
For instance.. OpenHome.. It's old crap and no one uses it anymore yet it contributes to "My Apps" clutter. I have a decent collection of pay crap I simply don't use, and don't ever intend to use again.. In 2 years our "My Apps" list is going to be stupidly long and a burden. Google needs a "Delete from account" option.

It's funny, because there are a lot of people that think WinPhone7 looks great (I being among them) but it is certainly a polarizing design. There are many people that you do, indeed, speak for. Nobody seems to be in the middle, that's for sure. You love it or you hate it.
So Fruit Cake Maker is finally on the last stages of its creation. Either today or tomorrow you will be able to play with it. I cut the paid version out in favor of just an ad supported version, and i have laid a road map for updating it for the rest of next year.
So with the great news fresh in the air, i have commandeer this post once again to ask you guys for your help. You see, i can program, but i cant draw for shiznet.
So with all that said, if anyone would like to create an icon, for Fruit Cake Maker, i would really appreciate it, and will give you full credit!

once Fruit Cake Maker is out and about, i will begin work on an application to ease searching for new builds.
the goal of the app will be to back up your data. clear it! and cache. set the server to connect to, and launch the setup so you can create the fake account connect to moto and try to update.

it dosnt touch cache or data, so none of the users personal data or apps will be included on the zip, the app will make.

Copyright infringement will apply to those who are actually bundling paid apps alongside the ROMs, it will not affect FCM as FCM is a means to make backups and helping others if they don't know how to upgrade to the latest ROMs.
It's the responsibility of the ROM owner to make sure that he/she isn't bundling paid apps with the ROM.

Hello everyone, today I'm going to tell you a funny story that happened to me. Yesterday, I invited my friends to come and gather. After eating and drinking, we planned to sit and watch a great movie. The problem started when I couldn't find the TV remote. I rummaged everywhere in the house, but I couldn’t find where in the world it was. To be honest, I felt so useless and shy at that time because I kept everyone waiting. @n0j0e This is a legit thread on XDA and no spam. The download link for the application - you're right it's hidden behind an URL Shortener - refers to a free application on Google Play Store. The used URL shortener is not a pay-per-click, pay-per-view or pay-per-whatever shortener i.e. the use of bit.ly on XDA is allowed. There's no violation of any forum rule.
However, I've removed the link from your post, by which you intended to show your personal preferences. To promote a different application in a thread that presents an application is considered disrespectful towards the threadowner. I suggest to consider to only report posts or threads, from which you think they violate the rules, but not to publicly post your "concerns" in the thread. Thanks for your cooperation!

I don't think so. The lame canned intro story gave it away IMHO.
If I invite friends to my house and I don't find the remote, they better all help me find the damn remote. If all else fails, we talk and forget about the TV. What I mean is that the whole created situation is as fake as it gets.

Reminds me of the stolen phone "help unlock this phone" threads with the long winded stories of bs ie my dead mom's, uncle's, brother's etc with a lifetime of family photos etc, etc. Long winded meaningless stories is the hallmark of a lot of BSers. They seem to think that adding words adds credibility... it tends to just pi$$ me off instead though. Philly fast talkers, confidence men. Seen them and played with them in the flesh.
Not saying it is, but the OP should stick to the facts. I thought it smelled like spam too
