Well here is my try.
had good response of fellow Designers here on college.

thought i would give it a quick shot.
went with the 8bit theme
if you're interested in this let me know and i an change it up for you (remove certain parts).
let me know if i'm on the right track or not and ill have another go if i have time.

It is for the app icon/logo but it will also be used on the website and other places.

Some more possible themes.. radar echos from the radar app, radar domes, radar rings, lightning, hail, tornadoes (or hook echos), pickles, L3, .. please no sweep lines..
Nice work so far!

Went a little more wild for mine. A nice Hook echo I got watching the radar from the Evansville, IN area a year or two ago. A little pickle to go along with it, and some text. Looks great with black or white background! That was fun! Thanks! Look forward to being able to use my AllisonHouse subscription with your program.

Nice work, but can you make another without the placefiles, roads, and city names.. just the radar. The idea is good though!

That depends upon how fast severe weather season takes off, and if I can grab another hook before March 15th. Unfortunately, that is the way I pretty much leave my home Radar Software set all the time, so I would have to be watching it, and catch something to disable all that stuff and get a screen shot.

heres a quick little entry! Hope you enjoy it! I can change anything you want, please give me feedback and if you don't like it at all, tell me and I'll get something else going! Also if you have a website or something I also do web graphics, and etc!

We like, but some possibilities are incorporating a pickle in the cloud or a 3 or P3 or things like that.

Petition: ZenExp Rev8 to be Re-opened

Ok, I've been waiting for this rom to be released and finding out that it was canned due to lack of interest. If enough votes we can get this rom reopened and released. This rom needs to be released so it can break the monotony of the Gingerbread and Honeycomb roms thats out there. ZenExp rev 7 was beautiful and I can't even imagine how Rev 8 would look like.
Please vote to have this roms released. Thank you.
P.S. I don't know no other way to state my vote, maybe by typing "please release"

Yes! I was on this for a year, and I had to finally move on -- one of the saddest days of my life. I would love to see Rev8!

Yea I'll vote even though Im on a Dinc now. I still have my Eris laying around enjoying its retired life. Could have made a poll to go with your thread.

This was one of my favorite roms. I use xtrSENSE now. The froyo and gingerbread roms are alright. I just don't really care for them. The sense based roms run so much smoother on my phone. I would love to see this reopened. I would definitely rock it.

Excellent people, keep it coming. We need to let MAK know that we love his work. GB is great but there are too many roms that look the same. I use now GSB and go back and forth with xtrSense/xtrRom. I would love to see this released. It'll be my everyday rom.
If this comes out I wouldn't get another phone. All these phones coming out with different UI and downloadable 3d ui's that the Eris can't handle. But if this comes out I'll be more than satified.

Hm, maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not sure I see whats so appealing about that UI. Hopefully this doesn't sound like I'm trying to rag on your idea, I'm not, trust me.

Its not my work, but somebody elses. Its simple and different from all those Gingerbread roms (they are all so plain). At least this rom has some themes that are appealing.
You may look on this thread on the 5th page for the zenexp rev7 to get an idea and some more info. but its the same screen shots I posted.

I had a feeling it was for people to create their own. I just noticed that with all the CM7 themes. they look awesome.

I'd like a market that doesn't forget my downloads and break my links. Other than that, they can make it look like 1998 Geocities page for all I care.

What's up with all the hating on the new design? That's just the page that opens up the first time! Who knows what the rest of the market is like and how they sort and list their apps. I'm just saying don't be so quick to judge it.

I'd like a market where you can get rid of the god damn pay apps that are utterly useless or don't use or ever plan to use again.
For instance.. OpenHome.. It's old crap and no one uses it anymore yet it contributes to "My Apps" clutter. I have a decent collection of pay crap I simply don't use, and don't ever intend to use again.. In 2 years our "My Apps" list is going to be stupidly long and a burden. Google needs a "Delete from account" option.

This...and maybe let us hide apps from the front page that we aren't interested in (I'm looking at you taking tom cat every time I open the market) and filter out ones we already have installed.

It's funny, because there are a lot of people that think WinPhone7 looks great (I being among them) but it is certainly a polarizing design. There are many people that you do, indeed, speak for. Nobody seems to be in the middle, that's for sure. You love it or you hate it.

Except there isn't any phone support yet? The only device they could base this off of is the Motorola Xoom. I'm waiting until Google officially gives the ability to watch on my phone before believing this. And if this is true, back to Netflix and movie download sites it is.

It's nice to be positive but this is just another step that has been taken lately that brings the likely end to support for "openness"

that's ok google, i'll just stream my dish network service to my phone for a one time fee and be able to watch the same channels i have at home for no additional cost.

I have netflix and hulu i'll be fine. I'm not that much of a movie watcher

Yeah, there many be alternatives to this specific service, but if this stands up it says that Google is no longer interested in openness.

People have been saying it's the movie companies pressuring Google. My question is why, since rooting alone doesn't mean you can bypass the payment service with Android Market. They'd still get their money.

Yeah that to! I could care less about overclocking with a dual core phone. I really just want this OS to take off man its been way too long and I think google needs to get in gear; if they don't windows will catch up and grab a huge chunk of the market shares. Im not asking for much but most the features that android is lacking need to be standard, one shouldn't have to root to achieve all these things (the list is long lol). For some strange reason I really feel like when all these wp7 nokia phones come out it will give them a huge jump! Everyone knows Nokia always had ****ty software but hardware is unsurpassed. Honestly, I think google needs to hit android with some more design that uses hardware acceleration or something different from the plain aosp look. Im not talking sense, or other flavors I hate fragmentation, they need to overhaul the design for aosp.
