I have the latest flash apk installed, flash settings shows up in my drawer, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but still no luck getting flash to work with any browser (boat, firefox, dolphin beta). It runs fine on my Nexus 7 (2013). I even tried fix permissions on a lark. Running stock rooted image 4.3. Anybody have any suggestions on what to try?

11.1.115.69 works nice here with aosp-browser and firefox (sine update from august the 6th brfore firefox was crashing). Stock 4.3 from factory image. Sometimes when reading of this different experience with 4.3 I can't stand the feeling factory image, ota and flashable zip all have slightly different issue...
I went back to full factory image with no root, got flash working then manually rooted. Everything works now.

Incredible!!! I was using, after updating to 4.3 the Flash 11.111.29 and for a few days it worked fine, both with Firefox and aosp-browser. Then stopped suddendly!!!
Now I've downloaded the 11.115.69 as you suggested but in the fullscreen it crashes both firefox and aosp. Does it work in full screen to you??
Yeah works great in full screen. I prefer boat browser, just make sure to enable flash in settings. How did you achieve root? Did you flash a prerooted image, or stock then rooted that?

My device is stock and then rooted, does it make difference???
To me makes crashes or lagging, both firefox and aosp. Which browser do you use?? Are you runnibg 4.3???

Yes I'm on 4.3. I had read about flash and issues with prerooted images, so I hoped that was your problem. I use boat browser, like I said before just make sure you allow flash in the settings. If you still can't get it to work, I recommend going back to unrooted stock and starting over. First download flash player, then flash the latest superuser. That's what got me fixed.

Should I go back to stock? Because I just went back to stock on my phone and I had a Rom for about 4 months but on stock everything seems so much more awesome. It feels more stable, smoother, better battery, and just a great experience, so should I go back to stock or stay on a Rom? For those that are on stock how smooth and fast is it?

I did the same thing myself, google is updating alot atm and if a new version of android comes out with the new lg phone due at the end of the month the nexus 7 will get it quickly.
what the devs do here is great but maybe for your rocking a stable stock firmware might be a good idea while the devs here get all new bits incorperated
I mean with a unlocked bootloader going back into the custom stuff is a breeze
Are you on a stock Rom posted here or did you take the OTA update?

i just flashed the Factory Images from here https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/nakasi-jzo54k-factory-973f190e.tgz
I also used adb back command and seems to have worked from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420351 , you will need the lasted sdk updated/installed
( have yet to check every game to see if that data was saved, but bards tale game save came back)
also if you know all commands to root manually that works or just use wugs tool and hit up the root but non permanent cwm button that also works
i would just do a titiumim backup and move the folder over to your computer and restore after you got everything flashed to stock and rooted. then restore apps from that
Yeah ill just flash the image then unlock it and them root it and just stay stock rooted with a kernel

The easiest way IMO is to use a toolkit, from there you can download and flash it.
Alternatively, you can manually download it from here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#occamjdq39 and flash via fastboot.

A toolkit is really unnecessary. Just install fastboot and run the batch file from the official factory image zip. It will reflash the stock firmware without any user interaction.

Dude. Search.
UPDATE: don't need anyone testing this anymore as it is not fixing most reboots
Can someone who is running custom recovery and has bad/frequent reboots install the attached file and see if it alleviates your reboots?
Please let me know what version of the OS you are running and if you are on JSS15J or JSS15Q, whether you updated via factory image or OTA.
I am 99.99% sure nothing bad will happen to your system. This will not disable your ability to get OTAs, nor change any system files, nor affect touchscreen, nor affect GPS, ...
I'm running a version of cm which has worked better than stock but still a daily reboot. What is this file going to alter / Will it work on cm?

If it works, it should work ok with CM as long as you run it in TWRP.
It doesn't actually touch the ROM. It uses the kernel to reset the DDR3 memory timings and allows the system to retrain.
Thanks, I like to know what I'm flashing. Just flashed, will report back.

I'm on 15Q odex stock ROM. I never had an ota before.
I rooted and unlocked the boot loader and flash this ROM yesterday.
Just had a reboot on mine as well.
Running build 8 of this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2391779
[ROM][CM10.2][4.3][CyanogenMod FLO Kangs][DJL10.2][LINARO][Build 8][2013/08/25]
Ok, then it looks like this won't fix the random reboots.
Sorry, back to your regularly schedule program.

im on clean rom with elemental x 1.2 and i have never had a reboot or anything bad happen since. i did have issues on stock 4.3 with small tweaks but since clean rom i have had no issues whatsoever
Edit also was on slim bean flo and had same issues so it's something messed up in the rom i would assume and not the software version it self

Good riddance! I pray it will go away for the desktop too.
I have a Nexus 4 and it came to me with Android 4.4.4, and I tried to install roms based/required Android 4.2.2. However, when I use any rom that isn't based on 4.4 or 5, the touchscreen will not register touches. I reinstall android 5, and it works. I install Firefox OS, it works. Ubuntu Touch works. LuneOS, CM 10.2 and ColorOS, however, do not because they are based on 4.2. Has anyone else had this issue or know of a solution?

That didn't work. Cyanogenmod 11 had the same issue last night, but I went and fixed permissions and that helped, but fixing the permissions isn't working with 4.2.2.
I can confirm that every other version of android I have used on this phone, and I just tried 4.4.4, 4.4.2, 4.4, 4.3, all respond to touch. 4.2.2 still does not work.
Could it have something to do with the bootloader being unlocked?

It shouldn't matter whether it's unlocked or not. Unfortunately i don't know what else you can try.

I tried just disconnecting and reconnecting the touchscreen connection and it worked, but that has to be done after every reboot.
