Just been to sammobile.com and the UK version is on there dated 3.8.13. i actually selected the wifi model but the software is compatible with both models. i am just gonna flash it now. its official so it should work better without some of the tweaks we rely on. once rooted that shouldnt be an issue

You see cm provides much more features
Which Samsung does not.....
Just like multiuser, plus cm gives you a look of stock android
However on the other hand
Samsung ROMs are modified and include some features that others do not just like palm touch, multi-window
So there is no direct comparison but it depends upon person to person

using lps 4.0.3 and its ok...tho i have a text issue where i receive a text alert in my notification bar, pull it down and open...but the homescreen text envelope still shows a message to be read. honestly, gingerbread 2.3.5. was much better...this feels like it ain't even finished.

We of SamMobile would like to give you the latest I9300XXLSJ Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Test firmware for the Galaxy S II. I9100XXLSJ is the first ever Jelly Bean leak for the Galaxy S II and surprisingly it’s really stable as well. This TEST Firmware was leaked by Forum Member izap of XDA-Developers.
This build is very much near perfect so we believe that Samsung will actually start rolling out the Official Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S II very soon. The day Samsung starts to roll out the official update you will be able to install the latest update through Kies or OTA update.
Some of the Enhancements in the new Jelly Bean Update:
- Buttery Smooth Performance & Great Stability (Thanks to Project Butter)
- New TouchWiz Nature UX (Same UI as of the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II)
- Samsung’s Cloud services
- Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play Features
- New Widgets From the Galaxy S III
- 2 Home screen modes
- New Notifications bar
- Google Now
This is a PRE-RELEASE version so not official from KIES.
As this is a PRE-RELEASE firmware so expect some minor bugs.

[Leaked Firmware] N7000XXLSA (4.1.2) - ODIN Firmware from Samsung's Server [28-11-12]

N7000XXLSA – Galaxy Note Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean TEST firmware
We of SamMobile would like to give you the latest N7000XXLSA Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Test firmware for the Galaxy Note GT-N7000. N7000XXLSA is the first ever Jelly Bean leak for the Galaxy Note which is based on Android 4.1.2.
As of now all test firmwares of the Galaxy Note we have got our hands on lack some S-Pen features, Samsung has yet to implement S-Pen features into their Jelly Bean source code. Our Insiders tell us the Jelly Bean update is almost ready for the Galaxy S II but the Galaxy Note still requires a lot of work till they start rolling out final updates to the users. We expect Samsung to release official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note in December/January.
READ THIS:
We know N7000XXLSA was leaked few days ago on XDA-Developers but that was not the complete firmware as that firmware was dumped from a person's device. Later that day, We of SamMobile contacted our insider and requested the N7000XXLSA firmware. Today our insider managed to get us the proper N7000XXLSA Firmware directly from Samsung's Servers. This Test firmware is just like any other official firmware, you just need to flash the firmware with Odin and you are all set! No need to flash any fixes later on. We have FULLY TESTED this firmware and this firmware works perfectly as any other official firmware.
Some of the Enhancements in the new Jelly Bean Update:
- Android 4.1.2 - Build JZO54K
- Buttery Smooth Performance & Great Stability (Thanks to Project Butter)
- Multi-View (Multi Windows Multitasking, same as in Note II)
- Multi-View can also be disabled
- Page Buddy
- Notification Panel can now be customized
- New Additions in Notification Panel
- Smart Rotation (Screen Display adjusts to your angle of sightings)
- Continues Input in Samsung Keyboard (Like Swipe or Android 4.2 Keyboard)
- Samsung's Cloud services
- Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play Features
- New Widgets From the Galaxy S III
- 2 Home screen modes
- New Notifications bar
- Google Now
This is a PRE-RELEASE version not official from KIES.
As this is a PRE-RELEASE firmware so expect some minor bugs.

I have no plans to actually flash this, because I want root. But I'd venture to say they are probably exactly the same.
I'm more curious to see what apks are in this one that aren't in the other. Downloading now to compare.

it only has 1h and 10mins since it's been posted, you could try it and be the first to give their impressions about it and see if it's any different, thanks in advance if you decide to do it mate.
:good:
anyone tried wipe from recovery ? emmc bug fixed or ?
Can someone who flash this try out if USB MTP is fixed? eybee's leak version has a well-known bug with the MTP mode where you can't see most of your files/folders when connected to PC. Only by connecting with Mass Storage mode does it work properly. Been driving a bit nuts lately, otherwise this ROM performs nicely.
OTA?
Can someone please tell me if I will still recive OTA updates if I this and then I flash back the old firmware?
I already install, I am in Guatemala, also install it to some friends here, some people did the upgrade from 4.0.4 ICS with XXLRT and another that went up from the last flight XXLS2 and all work perfectly.
Greetings.

Yeah, Perka posted the changelist. ELKC has the same changelist as ELL4. I guess I need to move to ELL5 then!
If I understood right, all the 4.1.2 very close to each other. ..... just location change. ..

It could be because ELL5 is branded (changes in the brand files). I'm going with the unbranded ELL4.
Can someone please post baseband/modem (XXELLA4) from this rom?
Thanks.

Hi,
I have a T-mobile UK S3 running ICS, since t-mobile will take another few years to release 4.1 for people like me can i flash 4.1.2 I9300XXELL4 BTU via odin on my phone?
If i can will i still get any updates from T-mob or will i need to revert back to 4.0.4 to get the updates? I have also unlocked my phone so will it remain unlocked even after the flashing?
Yes you can flash xxell4 as its unbranded you can flash it over current rom and you wont lose any apps or data enjoy

No,just an official update;you have to root after flash: Bien:
Netherlands here as well. Not sure if I notice any changes yet. Battery life finally improved(?), as it was horrible on 4.3.

thanks for the reply.
I've finished making a deodexed/rooted/zipaligned version with init.d support, I'll be testing it now, this is my first time ever doing this so I hope it works
if anyone wants this, let me know, my current version is heavily modified (removed apps, added csc) among other things, but if others want this, I'll make a full version and upload later on
edit : version working great, used hurricane note3 app v5, and things are working great, my only problem was with supersu not working correctly since the android kitchen version is very old, but I flashed latest supersu and everything is working fine
Any others who got the update and noticed differences?
Nevermind
