What did you modify in the modem and kernel to "maximise" signal and internet speed?
I'll pre-empt your next lie by telling you that:
GT-I9100_DXLP9.i360.UK\wanam\modem.bin is binary identical to I9100DXLP9_I9100OLBLP9_I9100DXLP9_HOME\modem.bin

Do you not understand what binary identical means?
using lps 4.0.3 and its ok...tho i have a text issue where i receive a text alert in my notification bar, pull it down and open...but the homescreen text envelope still shows a message to be read. honestly, gingerbread 2.3.5. was much better...this feels like it ain't even finished.

Video chat works with KG1 using the preinstalled Google Talk. Probably you gotta open gtalk click on your status and tick "enable video chat" (could differ)

it's how samsung names their firmwares.
http://samfirmware.com/samsunglettercode.htm
in _ _KG1 - K means 2011, G means July, 1 means release 1 (for that region)
the first two letters show the region. so XXKG1 is european 2.3.4 so if there was a XXKG2, then that would also be a 2.3.4.
but for UAE firmware, there hasn't been a 2.3.4 yet, so KG2 is just a newer release, but not necessarily a newer build of android.
hope that makes sense!
It does make sense, I had to read it a couple of times to make sense of it though
I check my Google Talk version in my KF3 SGS II, and it's 1.3 and most definitely w/o video chat, so it's probably (and hopefully) the LAST 2.3.3 firmware
Cheers for checking into my q!

Strange to see these apps on the TH firmware. they seems to be for Singapore than for Thailand.
by the way, i can't help but ask this:
I have flashed this firmware over my current DXLA2. Why isn't the root removed? Don't we usually we have to root the device again after stock firmware flashing?
Appreciate if anyone could help with my query.

This one should have it, Singapore ICS 4.0.4
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/170558433/66bbf5d/P6200DXLPB_P6200OLBLP8_XSP.zip.html
I flashed the Malaysian 4.0.4 but somehow my CSC seems to be SIN (Singapore?), It has DioPen Chinese Handwriting installed.

Hmm...
Mine is P6800 model (WiFi/3G).
So, Can I use this rom? I doubt so....:silly:
Woops, my fault. I apologize. I read both forums so often. You should be able to just install the .apk, alternatively you could try changing the CSC (country code) depending what ROM you have. Chnging CSC will wipe data, so I would try installing the .apk first. I can try uploading mine if you are interested. You mightneed one from a 6800 though. Cheers.

There's also ELL5 for Vodafone.
Their build dates are the same. I hope someone can check the change list number for this and compare it with ELL5

It could be because ELL5 is branded (changes in the brand files). I'm going with the unbranded ELL4.
Can someone please post baseband/modem (XXELLA4) from this rom?
Thanks.

If i can will i still get any updates from T-mob or will i need to revert back to 4.0.4 to get the updates? I have also unlocked my phone so will it remain unlocked even after the flashing?
Yes you can flash xxell4 as its unbranded you can flash it over current rom and you wont lose any apps or data enjoy

Well tried to update from dbt but can't bypass the modified status even though it says Official
---------- Post added at 08:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:46 PM ----------
Op if you got it post a screen shot or something
It is downloading... 552 MB
But first I had to install CWM Recovery and wipe data, partition cache and dalvik cache, than use ODIN to install the DBT firmware again and the recovery and root to be removed.
After that the software update started automatically, it's kind of slow..
Will get back soon when it's updated.
Can't wait for official ROM!!
The upgrade went smoothly... Finally was able to use the official KitKat for Galaxy S III LTE
YEEEESSS!!!
My phone it's updating right now!! 552.15mb :good:

I have a I9305T ...I hope it will also be getting the update soon but I rooted my phone and it tripped KNOX. As jetbruceli said that his system status was official but still he couldn't update it.
