Hi!
[Bad English Alert]
I bought Galaxy S4 two weeks ago and everything was fine. But then I've got some troubles: phone could not find mobile network. But this topic not about this. In a few days after this, I notice that time goes faster. I set the correct time (15:00 for example), and within half an hour noticed that time goes forward like 2 hours (17:00, but real time was 15:00).
Then I start stopwatch at my Galaxy Note and Galaxy S4. Four hours later I looked at stopwatches and time was equally at them. More interesting, that time at clock on Galaxy S4 was right too.
Then I did the same thing, but put Galaxy S4 in sleep mode. And S4's stopwatch goes forward!!
Just look video I made:
How can it be even possible? What wrong with my Galaxy S4?
P.S: Sorry for my English.
No Problem Here.
Just dit a test with my old Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) and my new Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505),
i cant reproduce the problem.
I think that there is the problem with CPU. But I don't know what exactly.
I tried hard reset but it didn't help.

hi guys yesterday i got a galaxy tab 10.1 and i was using it for 2 hours and then i was unable to continue browsing and reading stuff on it because i got a headache!
also my eyes felt bad... i noticed that my eyes start feeling bad when i was scrolling down news articles. also my eyes felt bad while increasing/decreasing the text site of these articles.
after 2 hours i got a headache and i was unable to continue using it!
i believe that my eyes were unable to get used to the way in how a tablet operates (scrolling... text size increasing/decreasing constantly)
im scared because i dont know if this is normal and i really feel bad because i bought this tablet mainly for reading and now it appears that im not going to be able to use it anymore.
is this normal? this happened to you?
i must say that i can stay in front of my LCD monitor almost all the day and no headaches! my problem appears to be the tablet.
Well I'd be rife to give anyone medical advice, especially over the internet, but I can speak from personal experience. I have never experienced headaches from viewing a tablet's screen. I have the Galaxy Tab 10.1, and in all the time I've owned it, I've never experienced headaches while reading. I have had friends who have experienced this issue, and they've gone to the ophthalmologist and been prescribed glasses for when they are reading on an LCD. This could be something that you might want to discuss with your doctor. Good luck.
P.S. Not to be pedantic or anything, but this is in the wrong forum. This should be in the Q&A section of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 forum.
Headaches From Samsung Galay tab 2 7.0
I'm glad I found this post. I also get headaches from my Samsung Galaxy tab 7.0 version 2. I tried a Kindle Fire and didn't have this problem. This is too bad because the Galaxy does almost everything better than the Kindle Fire. But what's the point of feeling bad all of the time.
Does anyone have any suggestions other than getting special glasses?
I currently have the Droid DNA, and I'm thinking about selling it and upgrading to the Galaxy S4 once Verizon releases it. The last Samsung phone I had was the Galaxy S II on Sprint. (epic 4g touch) and it used to do one thing that REALLY irritated me. I like having my phone's brightness all the way up. It just looks better imo. Especially on an LED screen. But the S II would ALWAYS turn the brightness down to avoid "overheating". It did this all the time, whether or not the phone was actually hot.
I was wondering if the S4 does the same thing? If so, is there a way to turn it off with or without rooting it? That could be the deciding factor for me...
Hi,
I'm just wondering if anybody here come from a galaxy note 1, and if yes, if thinks the update was worth it or not.
Thanks!
I came from a note 3.
Will not really. My wife has a note 3 and I had to help her get it setup and I couldn't wait to not have to mess with it any longer. ?
This is a refresh for a Samsung user. Give it a try for a week, you'll love it.

I went from i717 (ATT Note 1) and the G2 is much faster, battery life is much better.
The screen is more narrow, but almost the same height. I moved everything from my Note to the G2 and found some things were a bit squished or had to remove a column on the G2 but day to day use it's fine, and probably a little easier to use.
The buttons are really dumb, but the G2's "knock" on feature (tap twice on the screen to wake it) works good and I never use the power button. I've rarely messed with volume buttons, I let Tasker manage that for me.
Camera is much better, although I am having problems with any kind of close up being out of focus and if using flash, the picture being blown out. But that might be strictly an AOSP camera issue, and I'm talking 4-5 inches from the camera, normal distances are fine.
As as I mentioned, battery life is insanely better. I've gotten 60 hours off the charger at home on wifi with about 70 minutes screen-on time and yesterday at work at noon instead of the Note being around 65% at lunch time the G2 was at 92%.
It's a massive upgrade spec-wise and it's cheap if you have an upgrade available. Otherwise, you might look at the Nexus 5, it's very similar.
I think that if you are happy whit your phone it doesn´t whorth it.
But if you want to change hell yeah.
People are changing their Note 3 for this and fell happy about it, i suppose with the Note it will be even better.
At this point I would wait to see what's about to drop in the next couple points

Former Galaxy / Note lover....
I have used almost every generation Samsung device.
- Epic 4G
- Galaxy 2
- Galaxy 3
- Galaxy Note 2
- Galaxy Note 3
I finally got sick of touchwiz and a bunch of other stuff not worth mentioning and leaped for the LG G2 (T-Mobile)
I believe this phone is far more superior than the Note 3 in every way. AMAZING battery life, beautiful IPS display, the slim design for being a 5" screen, 13MP Cam w/ OIS, and for those camera enthusiasts.... MANUAL FOCUS !
When I found out this camera had a Manual Focus option, I was blown away.......
Get this phone, you won't regret it.
Hello , I am new and am trying to learn more about what I can do with my newly rooted galaxy s5.. I have a second galaxy s5 factory clean and laying around doing nothing. Ive noticed that there are dual screen android phones . Is there any way I can turn my galaxy s5 into a dual screen galaxy s5?? I can build a custom Kydex case to make it unfold like the ones i see in china and have a phone tablet .. This would be so cool.. A easy to carry phone/tablet.. thank you for any help..
Hi all!
I am currently the owner of a Note Edge which has this problem: https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/general/ddi-mmcread-failed-boot-error-fix-t3434335 (and https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...rd-id/GalaxyNotePhones/thread-id/12183/page/1)
In short what was happening is that the phone heats up without any obvious reason and sometimes reboots itself. Annoying, yes. Critical, no. Until the mmc broke (see link). Apparently many Note users have this issue and nothing else than replacing the motherboard or the phone can be done about it. So i started to look at the S8 series, specifically the Note 8.
This morning i was in the store, they don't have the Note 8 yet, so i looked at the S8 and S8+. When i grabbed the S8 i noticed that it was fairly hot. When i touched the screen it spontaneously rebooted. That got me scared because it's exactly the same behavior my Note Edge had and now it's dead.
What is your experience? Does your S8(+) run hot? Hotter than expected? If so, you might be in for a hardware failure in two years.
As i mentioned, i am looking at buying a Note 8, a phone which is not particulary cheap. I want to know if i might be running into the same issue as with my Note Edge.
BTW, i post this in the S8 forum because nobody has experience yet with the Note 8.
Thanks for you responses,
Ton.
Before the s8 i had an s5 which had that issue you are saying, and before i had an s2 and had the same issue as well.
But i don't know if they fix it or i am lucky, but in half year i had the phone i didn't have any issue with battery draining or over heating. So you are good to go with the s8.
There aren't many differences between the note 8 and the s8(+), note has dual camara, 50% more ram (4 gb in s8 and 6 gb in note) and the s pen.
If you want the premium features wait for it, if not you can go with the s8 without worries.

I don't need the premium features. I cannot live without the S-Pen. So :fingers-crossed:
I have the s8+ and have not experienced any overheating at all even under high use situations. The price difference between features between the s8+and note 8 made me choose the s8+.
No issues with my S8+
