Disabling the system update notification - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I have nexus 4
my phone is currently running android 4.2.2
and the system update notification tells me to install the new update (to 4.3)
I dont want to apply this update and I want to stay on 4.2.2
Now the notification is in the notification bar and im scared to touch is by accident
I've seen a guide on how to disable this on previous versions:
"
3 easy steps
1. Install free System Tuner
2.Go to Startups
3.Select Google Services Framework
4. Uncheck SystemUpdateInstallDialog and SystemUpdateInstallDownloadDialog - picture indicate 3 unchecked - use the only 2 I mentioned in the instruction.
Simple and easy way to stop the system update notification
"
but In my android version I have differnet things shown.
can you please tell me how to disable the notification?
thanks alot guys!

The second from the last screenshot shows that you can disable the System Update Service, try doing that and to remove the OTA download wipe the cache.

Dude, stop using expletives in your titles. You have a thread open already so either change the title of that or continue with it. You don't have to swear to get help...
Having said that, it seems clear you don't really know what you're doing do I'd be looking to get my knowledge up to scratch before flashing a custom ROM

As stated above, redownload (you have to redownload, since the original download may be corrupt and be causing the error) and reflash everything, thats ROM and Gapps.
Did you wipe system, data etc... before flashing?

Did you flash properly?
Proper order?
Read the thread to see if anyone had similar issues?
Which recovery are you using?
Did you do a MD5 check?

[Q] Unfortunately, Google+ has stopped.

This error pops up a lot when I'm using my phone. At random moments. Like when I open Facebook or YouTube or just looking around at some news, my phone freezes for a few seconds only being able to turn on and off, then the error appears, and then everything unfreezes.

I got this odd issue when I installed slimkat and i had to re-download the gapps (and rom too for safe measure). Fixed it

Why can't I download Android 4.3?

This happened when I try update the phone this evening(in the screenshot below). Retry download won't do anything. What am I supposed to do?
Should I factory reset and try updating again?

I had the same issue and the method below worked for me.
Go to Settings and select Apps. There select “All” and scroll till you find Google Services Framework. Select that and click on “Clear Data”, which would give you a warning. Disregard the warning and go ahead with it. Once done, go back to Settings, scroll till the end and select “About phone”. From there select “System updates”. Now check for update again.
Full stock, unrooted.
Plz tell me what should I do?
I've freed up my internal storage upto 6.2 GB, still the above message appears.

I don't know about the app you mentioned, but there were a couple of apps in the N4 Apps & Themes forum which did this - but it seems they work for 4.3 only.
As mentioned, there are apps which work via Exposed framework which will do what you are looking for (though bear in mind Exposed needs the Dalvik not Art, runtime).
Another good option is to try some ROMs - most of the popular ones have extensive UI customisation, such as battery, clock, navigation bar (the one at the bottom).
Download a ROM and its Gapps (eg AICP ROM and its Gapps, which I use and I can recommend, it's a good place to start)
Reboot into recovery.
Backup your current ROM (creates an image you can restore if you don't like the new ROM)
Wipe: data/system/cache/dalvik. NOT internal storage
Install the ROM and its Gapps
Reboot and begin to setup your phone
If you have Titanium Backup Pro or similar, you can restore all your user apps and data to the new ROM. Generally not recommended to restore system apps or data.
It may sound like a lot of effort to get a battery icon, but you also get a better ROM (faster, better battery and highly customisable UI). With the backup you took, if you don't like your new ROM, all you need to do is:
Go into Recovery,
Wipe data/system/dalvik/cache
Restore the backup
Reboot
