Yeah, bad kernel. That's designed for a SGS3 and CM9 ROMs. With that being said, it won't boot all? The bad kernel shouldn't prevent you from booting into recovery, but like Panther said, your battery may be dead. Leave it on the charger for a while and see what happens. Use Panther's button combo to boot straight into recovery and restore a backup. You can also try holding all three buttons to get into the fastboot menu. Once in the menu, use vol- to go to your choice and vol+ to select your option. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Put it on a charger. Then if you can't get bootloader menu to come on (normal pwr, recovery....).
Then you clobbered the partitions. Got insurance?

not sure if you resolved you issue, but try again to get to recovery - press and hold all 3 buttons (power + volume up + volume down), release only the power button after 5 seconds and wait for the recovery screen to appear (if not, try releasing the volume buttons, then press the volume down button once, then the volume up button once).

At About 2:30 AM This Morning The Charging LED Finally Came On But It's Green So I Guess It Has A Full Battery, Not Sure and Whenever I Try To Boot Into Recovery The Light Comes Off.

that's a good sign that the battery light came on. getting into recovery can be tricky, so keep trying. you might need to get there blindly - basically, assume that you cannot see the screen, and press the right buttons to get into it. this has happened to me before.

[Q] Myouch 4G

Hey, so i recently broke my mytouch4g. The volume up button seems to act as if its jammed, when its really not because i can still click it. So i called a local cell phone repair shop, and they didnt know what kind of cable the mytouch4g had for the volume buttons, and I'd like to know before i actually go out and try to get it fixed.
When i press the power button, it vibrates 3 times, then blinks an orange LED, screen somewhat lights up. if anyone could help me out on this, maybe by flashing something to get in a different mode instead of that, because after letting it sit for a day it finally turned on. but im afraid to turn it off and try again to see what happens.. Is there some sort of menu i could flash that'll get me to this? Thanks
Well you're booted up right now, in the Android OS right? Are you rooted? If so, flash CWM Recovery and flash a ROM. If not, don't know what to tell you. Not even sure if this answer is right. Anyone wanna back me up or give a better answer, be my guest. Hope this helps you somewhat.
CWM recovery? can you get to that with volume up + power ? and once i turn it off, it wont work again till i get if fixed. this has happened before

Yes CWM Recovery. If you already flash the recovery, you can get there through bootloader (volume DOWN + power) then select recovery.

[Q] Cant Get into AP Fast Boot!

I accidentally,... . unknowingly wiped the RED "system" button in Safestrap 3.12 on my Droid RAZR M today. (I was suppose to be wiping the cash and dalvik, but missed) I'm a retard I know. :crying:
Now I cant get into AP Fastboot to restore the phone from this hard brick!
When I press the power button along with the volume buttons, the only thing that happens is the red Motorola 'M" appears for a few seconds then the safe strap screen appears with the little sad robot, but that's it no AP Fastboot. Pressing the on screen buttons to enter Safestrap Recover do not respond. Oh boy I'm afraid I really did it this time. Its on the charger but i don't know if its even charging with out as OS?
Battery power was at 60% before i bricked it (i think). RSD Lite or my PC for that matter don't even see the phone when its plugged in.
Can this be saved? Or do I need to take a trip down to the Verizon Wireless store?

Try holding power & volume down until the screen flickers then hold power and both volume buttons. You gotta be quick
If your boot loader is locked you won't be able to fast boot back until the new fast boot files come out though if your on 4.1.2

This thread saved my life, then killed me. The suggestion about the different keys was spot on, i got into fast boot mode, then ran that utility. It totally failed me, I must have killed my phone pretty dead, and now there are no more key combos (the suggested one worked at first but now its just making the screen go blank) to try to get back into fast boot to try again. any more suggestions? on the up side verizon just pushed that update so i figure i can blame that to attempt an exchange
Did you take the update before using that utility? If you did, which version did you use? If you were already updated, then you needed to run 1.20. If you ran the wrong utility, that will cause issues. Now, since you can't boot, it sounds like your battery is dead. When you get to the blank screen, plug it in and leave it to charge for a while.
I'm no expert by any means but I'll try to help as best i can. If not me I'm confident someone else will. Now, I apologize because I didn't understand your original post.
Could you elaborate a little more please?
1. What were you trying to do with your phone prior to things going wrong, if they went wrong at all.
2. you mentioned AP Fastboot. So IM going to assume that at least you can access it. (not the same problem that I was having) that's a good thing! lol
3. Are you utilizing a utility like the one by Matt? Or are you doing something else? Like flashing firmware etc.
4. What were you in Fastboot for? What were your intentions?
I hope this doesn't come over a condescending. Just trying to get a Clearer understand of your issue so we can help.

I changed 2 lines in my build.prop file so i could see if I could get touchless control.
After I changed it, I restarted my phone. Now it is stuck in the Red M Boot, and it stays there, dosent black screen, dosent boot. I can get to the boot selection menu, but i cant choose anything, they all end up at the Red M. I Read that I can fix it in AP Fastboot, but I can get there. Also if i force it off (with power button and volume button) It just goes back to the Red M.
Everything I do ends up at the Red M
Help fast please, its my only phone, and I just got rid of my house phone

Holding the combination of buttons will only cause it to reboot, every time. Holding the power button down will make it shutdown. With that being said, what was your battery like before you started all of this? If it's below 50%, you're going to have a hard time. Shut the phone down and charge the battery ovenight, prior to attempting to fastboot.
If your battery is good, then you can fastboot. Hold all three buttons down, until you get the phone to power off. As soon as power goes off, you'll see a quick line flash at the top of the screen. As soon as you see this flash, quickly let go of the power button and then re-press it. If you got it right, you'll go into the fastboot menu. If you got it wrong, it will attempt to reboot. If it reboots, just try the button combo again. Once you get into the fastboot menu, use the vol- key to get to the option you need, and then hit the vol+ to choose that option.

Sprint S4 Stuck at Yellow Splash/Bootloop

So I got this S4 shortly after it came out running 4.2. I flashed CM 10.2 shortly afterwards, and ran that until the first milestone of CM11 was released. I switched to that for about 2 months, but decided I wanted to return to stock this evening.
I followed Qbking77's guide on unrooting to MDC, and all seemed well until I got to the restart stage and the phone started hanging at the yellow Sprint logo until switching to a bootloop. I've since tried reflashing the image multiple times and no dice.
I have a nandroid backup from 1-18-14 that I took after installing CM11. At this point I'd take anything functional, CM or stock.
After flashing mdc in odin just turn off the phone. Boot into stock recovery and do a factory reset. Reboot. Profit.

So... I couldn't get recovery mode to work and I assumed that somehow I had erased it.
I went searching for tutorials on how to restore a stock recovery + rom and found an application that acts as an Odin All In One.
I'm not allowed to link yet, but something tells me that the author Rwilco12 is known around here because it's a pretty helpful piece of work he's done. I used the tool and suddenly I was able to boot into recovery per leaderbuilder's instructions.
The good news is: ITS ALIVE!
Thanks everyone for your help!

I think I hard bricked my 727

I've had my US model 727 Pro 3 for a month or so, and all was pretty good. I got the bootloader unlocked, rooted it, but was having trouble with the filesystem remaining read only, so I couldn't make build.prop edits and xposed showed that it was running, but the modules weren't doing anything. So, I finally figured I'd start over from scratch, wiped everything using the AIO toolkit, and flashed TWRP again. Now my phone won't boot up at all. No vibrations, nothing but a black screen whether I try holding just the power button, power plus volume up, down, or both up and down. Any suggestions, or am I just SOL?

I used adb/fastboot to manually flash TWRP, then the device went dead when I tried to reboot from fastboot into TWRP. I can't get it to power on at all now. I tried following steps I found in a thread on fixing a hard brick with the Qualcomm QIF tool, and it seemed to recognize the phone, but still didn't get it to boot.

Yep. Same version that had worked for me previously. I assume that if it was just a bad flash, that I'd be able to get into fastboot mode, but that's not working, either.

I was able to connect to it via the Qualcomm software, but wasn't able to get it to power up after flashing the "hard brick fix" files I found in a Qualcomm brick fix post. I may try this again a bit more meticulously before trying to send the device back.

Nope. No response whatever from any combination of the physical buttons, no matter how long they're held down.

Tried that. Tried holding down power for over a minute, tried holding power + volume down for a minute, tried power + volume up for a minute, even tried holding all three down for at least 30 seconds. Nothing. The only indication I get that the device isn't completely fried is when I plug it into the myth desktop while running the Qualcomm diagnostic software, but I can't get it to boot up with that program, either.

I was able to connect to it via the Qualcomm software, but wasn't able to get it to power up after flashing the "hard brick fix" files I found in a Qualcomm brick fix post. I may try this again a bit more meticulously before trying to send the device back.

What files did you use? I think we don't have service rom for this device.
I have the same issue. My Le Pro 3 died using Open Camera, taking pictures. It does not power on, does not respond to anything, no key combinations work, no charging progress, nothing, looks dead.

Were you using the camera or other app? What happened in your case?
My case is described here:
