After the update that incorporated Navigation into Google maps, the voice output has switched to the UK male voice.
I previously had it set to the US female voice and my Google Now, Text to speech and language settings are set to US English. I'm on CM10.1 Stable.
I've tried everything but it still reverts to UK Male for navigation and is the only time it does so.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to change it back?

Hello!
Does anyone know if its possible to change the voice that dictates the turn by turn on google navigation? Are there any new voices that can be added or just change the voice to a male voice? I have tried to go into settings and tried to change the voice in the Text-to-speech to British English and checked the "Always use my settings", still no change. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I got my Nexus 7 the other day, and noticed there's no voice input option anywhere on the keyboard, or in the settings. It works fine, and shows up in Chrome and Google Now, but does not in Gmail, or Talk. Please help.
Within settings of the Google TTS engine are two voices.English UK and English US. When set to US all speaking apps use the voice. When set to UK (even though when you Listen To An Example the UK voice plays) the apps continue to use US not UK. The Samsung TTS engine performs properly. On mine I have US and UK. When either is picked the apps use the appropriate voice, unlike Google. I have tried clearing data and cache,m no help.
Anyone else try this and having it work correctly or have an answer to the problem??
