After flashing some ROM, I am having trouble because the phone is stuck in Samsung Galaxy IV logo.
First couple times I was able to boot to twrp and do a format, wipe, flash, then davik wipe. The problem is that I was able to restart and set up and update etc but if i restart the phone, it would stuck at boot logo.
So I flashed it again and installed GooManager and installed twrp again, tried to restart and it would just stuck at Samsung boot logo, I can't even get into recovery mode.
I tried using Odin and flash cwm but it would not boot into recovery mode.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I'll try to flash it with stock ROM with ODIN going into download mode, but somehow I don't think that will work.
I'm using Canadian Rogers Galaxy S4 SGH-I337M
Please let me know if there is anything I can do
Boot to download mode (volume down+ home during boot) and Odin to stock MDJ firmware would be my suggestion. Give it a boot and then factory reset. If hangs on first boot, go into recovery (volume up+ home during boot) and factory reset via recovery. After phone boots install triangle away, reset counter, and then do the OTA update.
Finally got around to updating to the MG1 firmware last night and found that Odin directly to MG1 did not update the modem (baseband) and also left me with no Wi-Fi. The above steps applied the new modem and did not cause any Wi-Fi issues.
After update, to root just use the CF auto root for Canadian models with Odin then goo manager for custom recovery (twrp).

I was trying to dual boot using the patcher app and had tried installing kangakat ROM as a secondary. Flashed and got stuck in a boot loop, couldn't get into recovery. Can get into download mode and have tried flashing a prerooted stock rom, which completed successfully. But wouldn't boot past the glowing Samsung logo, couldn't get into recovery still to wipe cacjhe/reset, so flashed pit file, still the same, tried flashing just a custom recovery and still the same, tried firmware with the pit file and still cat boot.
So everything seemed to flash OK via Odin, but still stuck with a phone that doesn't boot and I can't get into recovery. Anybody ideas as I have just about ran out, the only thing I can try is flashing an official stock firmware but I'm not holding out much hope.

Update:
Got sorted!! Pheeeeww!
When trying to boot recovery I held power and volume up, then released the power button but held volume up, got into recovery instead of booting then looping again. Sounds so simple but really thought I had really messed something up.

I just flashed CM 12 beta on my i9500 (proper flash) but I found some bugs and lags hence I decided to reflash it when I found out I couldn't reboot into recovery mode. The device just restarts. I tried the 3 button combo, rebooting through recovery mode through the phone, even downloaded ROM Manager and tried booting into recovery but didn't help. How can I get my recovery back again? Is it because I used CWM instead of TWRP? I was using CWM v6.0.4.1 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
It seems your recovery is broken. Try reflashing recovery by Odin Mode.

try rebooting and just hold volume up.
A client brought in her phone (S4-i337) that was in recovery mode, at first i thought it was something simple but not really. At first i did a wipe data but it couldn't boot up instead after rebooting, it went back to recovery mode. Surprisingly, this phone boots up normally when you try to boot to download mode. As in, when i press Volume down + Home + Power, instead of it going to download mode, it boots up fully then i happen to use it for until when I restart it. I've updated it to Android 5 using some file that i found on some forum, thought it would help but same case. Members, am out of ideas on what i should do. I've flashed it with Z3X box, but i also get an error, same as Odin. Any help is highly appreciated
What are you flashing to the phone? If it was running a stock 4.4.2 ROM or newer, the bootloader would be locked and AT&T never released a complete Odin firmware flash after 4.1.2.
Yesterday I successfully rooted my S7 Edge (Exynos) using ODIN and cf auto root, but I then noticed that my banking app (and some other things) wasn't working so I decided to unroot. I used the Full unroot (or whatever it's called) in the SuperSU app and now my phone is stuck, looping on the boot logo. I can get into download mode and I tried following these instructions - https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/help-stuck-samsung-logo-recovery-boot-t3634988 and some others, but I'm unable to flash anything, I always get FAIL! (DeviceInfo)
I was on firmware G935FXXS1DQHM
Please help
Edit: Managed to flash the stock image after holding down the vol down + home + power key right after clicking Start in ODIN. Was then stuck on Samsung logo, fixed that with wipe and delete cache in recovery mode
Hey guys,
I really need your help. I have done an update of my twrp. My phone is rooted.
Now after it the phone stucks at the boot logo "Samsung Galaxy S8 powered by Android".
The hotkey combination for booting to Recovery does not work; nothing happens. The hotkey combination for download mode works.
I tried applying TWRP via Odin; nothing changed. What can I do? I don't want to lose all data

EDIT:
Problem solved: TWRP Version twrp-3.1.1-2-dreamlte.img.tar seems to be broken. DOwngraded via odin and it works again!
flash stock rom through odin then flash twrp. yes you will lose your data this is why it is advisable to keep a backup.
