ther say, that the port to nexus tablet takes only one Day
not anymore with the new version unfortunately. even with the n9 and n950 it needs lots of work to be done for a proper port. you can read more about it at maemo.org.

Hi!
When you look at the Nexus 10 you will find that the launcher has a real landscape-mode. I'm missing this mode on our Nexus 7. I.e. on the Nexus 10 the dock is at the bottom, we are having it on the right side and we have no search-bar.
Is there already a way to get the Nexus 10 launcher-layout to our Nexus 7?
Regards,
McDV
It seems like no one else dislikes the landscape-mode of the Nexus 7.
I don't believe so, but you could play around with launchers and try to make one you like. Get creative with it.
I personally don't care for that sort of dock, so it doesn't bother me. And the setup I have with Nova Launcher really works for me.

Exactly what I mean!
You could use nova launcher.Turn the Dock off then put the icons you want on the bottom.. Same difference .. I really dislike the google search and the dock bar on a tablet size screen.. The search bar i want NO PLACE. not even on phone..
Just my opinion...

I have been thinking about re-naming my Nexus 7 ( Bluetooth, Play & PC) but I have really no idea what to name it..
I was hoping I could get some inspiration here
So what did you name your Nexus 7 on:
Play Store
Bluetooth
PC?
Screenshots included to further show what I mean.

Hey, so I found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778012 and I thought it was such a shame the project was closed down. I think it would be great if someone could attempt this again! This way in theory, A person could connect their android tablet or phone to a tv or speaker system, and from another android device use there google music que to stream to that device. It woul also give a great way to bring life to old devices.
I'm going to start a bounty by saying I'll add $15
To get the apk's, just unzip the files from this factory image http://d-h.st/yeo
I'm also going to attempt, while working on my nexus 7, any suggestions would be great since I am far from a developer!
UPDATE 1 March 3/2013 Okay, for anyone else who would like to help out, I just found this Nexus Q Rom http://d-h.st/JCy It is based on IAN67K and deodexed, and has thing slike nova in it. The main use for it would be that it is a deodexed rom. Hope it helps someone! If you want to read about the rom you can check it out here http://rootzwiki.com/topic/35778-rom-nexus-quantum-singularity-project-phase-1-4-v102/
So another update, I've atttatched HubBroker.apk that can be installed as a normal apk, and will give your device the nexus Q setup screen. Don't open after install, hit the home button and then select broker.

Be my guest, I haven't made much progress! And it would be awesome if you could post any progress you make and problems you run into and then maybe someone else will know a solution so it can be a community effort
So the current problem is that it cannot be picked uoby a different device running the nexis q app. My theory, along with the previous attempt of this project was that we need to change the Bluetooth id of the device running hubbroker. When running it and going into the normal Bluetooth settings it renames the device as the nexus q

I have 2 devices with NFC. If I have broker open and beam it to the other it asks me what room the Q is located in. But then it just says connecting forever.
Hey guys, I know you've seen a lot of some emulators on the Play store, for all kind of old-school consoles, NES, SNES, N64... Most of them are released under GPL license, so yes, they are open source. Sadly, the UI design doesn't match with Android's holo (4.0+) style. So, my proposal is simple. Let's develop a couple of free, open source emulators, from XDA members, with a proper UI (I can help with that, I've written a couple of modern looking apps: LockIt, wRotatr, Halo)))). My weak point is JNI. I hate it. Period. I will need a lot of help to get the emulators buiding, but after I get them, you will see a lot of UX/UI improvements.
Sources can be found here. I'd like to start with Nesoid. So, is anybody here, expert on JNI development, willing to help me on this? :good:
Cheers,
D4.
Bumping this, I have archieved some UI fixes. Still not able to build native libraries.

I haven't been able to build native libraries yet. Without that there's no emulation
How's the emulation overhaul coming along? Seems like a great project

I'm trying another UI attempt, but it's not yet working (emulation still broken, I haven't found anyone to help me with JNI)

Hi, I flashed "pa_mako-4.2-BETA2-20140325.zip" to my Nexus 4, but in settings I can not find any ROM settings. E.g. settings on this video: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34799063&postcount=2 (PA3+ review).
May I flash any more or install any external APK to get them? E.g. I mean UI settings (tablet, stock, phablet, ...), but all settings that are at time 0:13 I can not find.
Screen of my settings & about phone:

That video is from the previous android version of paranoid android they've update to 4.4.2 and are redoing all of their customization to better fit kitkats design UI. Just wait and they'll be added (pie already has I think, halos gone its going to be replaced by hover ( no idea what it will be) they've also added peek). Don't think tablet UI will ever be available again googles deleted the code from android to create better consistency across tablets and phones. If you want those features flash the 4.3 version of paranoid android. Their change log is located here read it and it'll tell you what's happening with features.
