Isn't there an option in settings, language and input to select tieng viet?
I am trying to make the entire phone in vietnamese language, not just the input. There is Vietnamese input for the keyboard but I want the entire OS to reflect it. It only has about 5 languages

I guess the stock s4 rom is limited. Im running custom. On my tablet which has an international firmware it has full viet language. Maybe you can try flashing a vietnamese firmware or an international one may even work.
its possible to flash an entire rom from another carrier on AT&T? wouldnt the radios be all jacked up?
what is the rom you have flashed with vietnamese language on it? I know its on your tablet but at least it can point me in the rigtht direction
thanks for your help

We have alot of custom roms based off the international firmwares for our att&t phones here. Look in the development section for any mga roms. I recommend twlight or goldeneye. They won't flash your radios.

If you're rooted go to system/CSC in root explorer and delete language.XML. it'll enable all languages. This is stock rooted BTW.

Hello all,
Have been reading this forum for a long time and it has helped me out many times in the past and for that I am grateful to you all. I am relatively new to the s4 but I have a galaxy tab and am comfortable with flashing and using command line utilities and all the goodies that come along with them. (Toooo comfortable lol).
My dilemma is as follows. I stupidly moved some "bloat" apps from system to user and forgot before I was forced to do a factory restore. Now certain items such as optical reader and other apps are gone. I have looked for the carrier specific rom from fido but can not find it. Could someone please point me in the proper direction?
Also what's the most stable and functional rom that can dual boot for the sgh-i337m.?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply. Any ideas on where to get the files for fido for odin? Or am I missing something. Still relatively new to this world, ios was my main domain still figuring things out here.

Go to sammobile.com. You have to register but it's free. They'll have the stock firmware specific to your device and carrier.

Thanks for the help. Exactly what i was looking for. How do I thank you on the forum?
Also which rom is the most stable with working components(wifi, camera, etc), can dual boot and that has a kernel that supports force ac charge.

There is a thanks button. IDK the answer to your other question. I don't have an s4.
I am a total newbie to the Android OS... I have been using the iPhone ever since smart phones ever came out. I am currently in China, and purchased a SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3 SM-N9006. I am not Chinese, so I can't read any Chinese. I have already changed my language options in the settings menu, but still, there are some complications in the applications that are always in Chinese, and I can't seem to change it back to English. The SAMSUNG store app for downloads are in Chinese, and other basic apps are in Chinese as well. I was wondering if there is any way possible to have the phone's firmware in English as if it were a phone bought in the US.... Please.. I have been searching all over the forums looking for answers... PLEASE.. ANY HELP PLEASE.... if there is a way to get this done, whether by rooting or ROMS (which I, honestly, do not understand how to do)..... could I please have a detailed, step-by-step version of what I need to do?
VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.... THANK YOU COMPUTER GENIUSES!!!!

The stores read of your sim card and ip address. So in theory if you were in an English speaking country, it'd show in English

I think changing the CSC to a different country will help you but it may cause other issues (with your mobile network for example)

AFAIK, the N9006 has some complications to it. I don't think you will find any custom ROMs.
If the language of the apps hasn't changed with the language of the system, they must be hard coded in the APKs.
You could try this. Root it, make a nandroid backup and push APKs from the standard N9005 ROMs to your system.

If the sim/location IP are reporting you in the US then yes, the language will be English AFAIK.

Install a custom recovery. Search the forums. There was a link for rooting/installing CWM on the N9006.
There will be an option for taking a backup in the recovery.
After that, just replace the APKs in the system partition with other APKs with some app like root browser.
I also have a N9006. Best bet is to root it and put google apps on. I haven't been able to find out if the firmware is compatible with the n9005 as far as I know the n9005 o ly come in 32gb and the N9006 is a 16gb only.
After you root you can delete all the Chinese apps.
Got a tutorial of how to root using urdlv here.

Hi Guys,
I would like to know if it's possible to flash a international rom into the Note 4 USA Tmobile ?, I would have a phone whitout garbage Tmobile
do you know this is possible to make that ?
Thank you
I will have a ViSiON-X International rom done this weekend, I will post it in the tmo note4 forum when it is ready. Answer is, yes.
The vision X is a no samsung room ? because I would like stay on the samsung room for the update lollipop
I could be wrong but I thought three US had Snapdragon and international was Exynos. In which case it's probably not a good idea to try
No, do NOT flash an international ROM on your T-Mobile Note 4. Only flash firmwares meant for your device model.

Can't you disable the apps you do not want?
Go to Settings > Application Manager, then scroll all the way right to the ALL tab.
Find the applications you do not want and press on each of them. There may be a Disable button.
If you disable an app, it stops running on your phone, you can't see it in your app drawer, it's the next best thing to uninstalling. People have reported success in debloating with this method, see here.
If that is not enough, you can root and uninstall those apps with, for example, Titanium Backup.
Thank you for your answer
Hey guys,
is it possible to use one of these in Europe with full 4G support? Can I flash ROMS that are meant to be used on the European model and it will fix the antenna or should I flash specific Verizon ROMS and then flash an european modem, if at all possible? I thank any input because I'm clueless.
Thanks!

So you're saying there is zero chance of making it work by flashing something?
