[Library] for audio effects - IDEs, Libraries, & Programming Tools

I need an Android library for audio effects like echo/reverb and backwards effect. I have already implemented a native library for pitch/tempo effects.
The license of the library should also be for commercial use.
But maybe it is possible to implement an echo effect with a simple Android class? In this case i wont need an extra library.

This should be *exactly* what you are looking for: SpectrumWorx "Complete SDK", a set of several sound effects in one library.
Get the free demo trial download from here:

Cheers!

Thanks for your reply.
I want to use a free library. So I have read about OpenSL ES for Android:
http://mobilepearls.com/labs/native-android-api/opensles/
Do you think I could implement the features with this library?
- Recording
- adding effects like pitch, echo etc. to the record
- save the record as .wav
Greetings

You found anything helpful? I too, need a library for some echo/reverb effects.

Audio Player Features

Hello,
I have been searching ... but I have had no luck finding an audio program that can do the following:
1) FAST audio playback (like TCPMP)
2) Bluetooth Control (PAUSE/PLAY, Forward, Backward (like windows Media Player)
3) Can continue to play with the SCREEN OFF (Like TCPMP)
Any Suggestions?
Thank you for your time

Mortplayer http://www.sto-helit.de/index.php?module=download&entry=mp_program&action=list
I highly recommend the cleanglass and darkglass skins http://www.sto-helit.de/downloads/pocketpc/mp-skins/
Thanks for suggesting mortplayer...
Settings are odd, but you get used to it after a bit.
I see that the display shuts off, and that the headset controls work, which is great!!!
However is there some sort of plugin that I need in order to change the playback speed?
I cant seem to find the setting.
oh and the darkglass skin is cool.
thanks again

Sorry, I misunderstood the "fast"request. The only other program that I'm aware of that will allow playback speed adjustment is Coreplayer, though it's not a feature that I would seek out myself. TCPMP was the beta/development tool for Core. Core has a much richer feature set compared to TCPMP. Core isn't free and in my way less than scientific study, it used about 2X the memory when playing audio files when compared to Mort. It's also a great all around video player with decent built in (no browser needed) youtube support.
Purchased Coreplayer V1.3.0 build 6213
Initially I had a heck of time with stability issues.
After at least 20 lockups, I found that everything became more stable if I just disabled anything that had to do with the internet / youtube / and the Library Functionality.
It is a bit of a hog.
....the Iconics are non-intuitive,
....in order to sort a playlist by filename you have to disable the library
But at least I can now do the (3) items I originally asked for.
Thanks for your help

I'm still using 1.2.1 and have no stability issues that I'm aware of. I'm going to upgrade later to see if I have similar issues. If Core was a little lighter on ram, I wouldn't bother with Mort at all.

You can actually enable the unattended play feature in WMP by changing the value of
\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Media Player\Preferences\UnattendedPlayback
from (decimal) 0 to 1.
Now you just need a plugin to speed up playback so you can ditch CORE like I did (yes, they suckered me into paying for it too).
Hope that helped!

Any movie making apps like imovie?

I am just curious. It would be great to create and edit like the imovie app.
WeVideo?
I do regular web searches to see if anybody has developed a viable video editor / movie maker for android, and finally there's some hope.
Just came across this tonight - http://blog.wevideo.com/bid/272187/WeVideo-Launches-iMovie-Competitor-App-for-Android
It's a new app called WeVideo (just released, so it's still in BETA), and it's pitching itself as an iMovie-like editor for ANdroid, with some cloud-based features and other differences, but what's important as it appears to provide full "movie making" capabilities across various Android devices.
I just tried it out and it works well, with a few oversights like:
- No transition control
- No volume control for music tracks
- No local, uncompressed storage of published video (not that I've found anyhow)
Just for starters. But, if you don't mind using their simple theme, and don't want to include your own music, it works pretty well.
It's also nice that it supports publishing of your videos directly to YouTube, despite not exporting to sdcard etc.
I'll post this reply in a few other threads asking about better video editors for Android as well.

I've just downloaded AndroMedia. Seems pretty fully featured

Airplay receivers in share video menu?

For those who seek it, true airplay compatibility would be a simple, implemented service throughout the device using it's stock media players.
When I play a video I transfer onto my device, there is a share button on the top right. When I click see all, I noticed that Evernote and a few other downloaded apps are in the menu. Also true of youtube videos, which can be shared to a number of applications.
My question may be obvious now, but is there a way for an app to run in the background and enable a list of airplay devices from that menu?
Or maybe a simpler solution would be Doubletwist player (or another airplay capable player) to be one of those share sources, being a quick shortcut. I just hate having a bunch of players for different scenarios. I would love that process to be a bit more tied together.
Just stirring the pot.

Realtime audio convolution

Hi all,
I'd like to try some system wide signal processing on Android like, let's say, implementing a realtime high pass / reverb / echo.
I know that they are some equalizers available like kevinboone 's android simple equalizer, but this code does not implement its own sound effect: it is a GUI to run the equalizer of the Android API.
Is this possible on Android? (It is ok for me to write non-Java code)
Is OpenSL the right direction to look at ?

sync GVRaudio to video

Hello,
I'm using the Samsung Gear VR Framework to develop a VR 360 video playback app. The video's I will use all have surround sound that need to be lipsync to the video.
It would be best to add to audio to the mp4 video file, but how would you then get that audio so you can rotate it using headtracking? Android mediaplayer will play the audio, but it will not rotate the field when the user rotates his head. The Samsung GVR framework relies on GVRAudioEngine (cardboard / google vr api) classes to playback audio with use of the headtracking (binaural). However, that only works for separate audio files, not linked to video. I'm in the dark on how to sync such audio to a video. The API doens't expose any functions to get/set playback position to allow me to make my own sync engine (I'm even not sure that this would work)
Any pointers are welcome!
Thanks,
Vincent
