Wipe the data of Google Services Network, Play Store, then remove your Google Account. Then open play store, and continue by entering your account credentials.

Play store crashing

so i got my nexus 7 on tuesday and downloaded a bunch of apps and it works great but this morning i went into the market and it had the google play music app needing an update and automatically updating... so i canceled update and whenever i try to update the store just crashes and pretty much auto crashes on reopening... i can trick the tablet by going into google books and clicking the play store app but if i try to download anything.. new games or apps the market closes again...
so far i've rebooted and went settings/apps/all/playstore/ wipe data/cache, and even restarted router at house.. any suggestions/?

If you think the Google Play Music update caused the issue, go into your Apps/Google Play Music. Clear data, and "Uninstall Updates". If your Play Store works now, try reapplying the GP Music update.
it doesn't have uninstall updates on there... so i just went into the store and tried downloading 100 floors and the store has now crashed again lovely lol
I'm having the same problem. The play store screen flashes then crashes.

I'm having the same problem with my GNex. Hope it's that Play Store needs an update, and it happens ASAP

[Q] Google Play not opening

Recently, I tried to manually install some updates for applications on my Nexus 4 running stock and unrooted Android 4.2.1. As soon as I selected "Update All," Google Play immediately closed. There wasn't a fade-out animation like you would see when hitting the home button; it just closed and the home screen appeareared right away. There wasn't a "Google Play is not responding" dialogue, it just closed and wouldn't work.
From then, I tried opening Google Play again, and the app would launch, but then close right away before I get to see any activities. I cannot open Google Play, and I don't know why. I am running Play Store 3.10.10, which I believe is the latest version. I can successfully open Google Play again going to its App Info, selecting 'Force stop' and then 'Clear data'. After that, I am prompted to accept Google Play's terms and services, as if opening it for the first time. I can then use Google Play normally, but it closes again as soon as I try to install or update an app. What's going on?
Update
I contacted Google directly, and the solution to my problem involved these steps:
1. Clear data/cache for Google Play, Google Services Framework, and Download Manager
2. Restart Phone
I then had another issue displaying installed apps in the Play Store (it appeared blank). To solve that issue, I had to remove my Google account, restart the phone, then re-add my Google account, and it works again!
You can try to install the factory version of Play again by using the .apk in system/app. I don't exactly know which app, but Phonesky.apk has the Google Play logo

I tried rolling back to the factory default, but my problem persists. I wonder if it's a connection problem; I am in China by the way. I am using a home wifi network. I haven't been experiencing this problem for as long as I have been here, until yesterday. Perhaps when Play Store launches, it tries to connect to google, and then some sort of in-app command forces it to close because it got scared of something!

[Q] Google Play Remote install problems

Since I have updated to 4.2.2 OTA (all Stock) installing Apps using the Google Play website does not seem to really work.
When I click install on play.google.com nothing happens on the phone until I open the Google Play App. Seems like that the service that used to connect to google play regulary does no longer run?
Anyone else seen this?
Related note ... I did the google framework service thing to get it to show the OTA after installing the update my phone did not show up in play.google.com at all until I have installed a random app using the google play app.
Open Play Store and check your auto update settings. Probably you need to enable it.
The autoupdate setting has nothing to do with it; I'm experiensing the same issue, the download starts, but it takes 1 minutes before it starts, even if I have Google Play opened on my phone

It is enabled but not sure how this is related ... I am talking about install / remove didn't test update yet.
OK I have fixed it.
Did Settings -> Apps -> All and Cleared the Data for Google Play and Google Play Services.
Rebooted the phone. Opened Play Store once and now thinks work like as expected.

This is what worked for me:
Go into your device's app manager. Select Google Play app. Click on uninstall updates. This will take it back to the factory setup state. I then had to reboot the device as I initially got a message that Google Play has stopped working when I tried to open the app. After reboot, open Google Play and accept the terms and conditions. This got the install from website issue fixed.

NO.
It will not solve his problem.
• The Auto Update option is for Apps (that are installed on our device)
• Not for the Playstore.
• He want to stop Playstore from auto-updating.
We can't stop Playstore from updating itself.

so what should I do? A quick Google search or disable auto update from playstore setting.
Oh...come on.
Atleat first try to understand my problem.
Google play store auto update is so annoying in Nougat/marshmallow.
Maybe we can delete it and replace with a very early version that doesn't phone home all the time?
And what the heck is Google play services for instant apps?

If I replace the google play store apps by earlier versions in system ....I think it also will try to update.
Though I will try.
Thanks Raymond. Can you please try this technique here:

Sorry if I came of as a bit rude and sorry for the late reply. I misunderstood your problem was apps auto-updating by themselves and not the google play store itself.
As for the play store auto-updating by itself, can't you restore to factory version in the app settings?
Just uninstall the update and back to playstore factory version.
