[Q] Strang Boot Loop - Surround General

I have not read in any of the posts about a boot loop quite like mine but only when it charges. It works fine otherwise. When I go to charge it will go into a boot loop, it will make it all the way into windows then start it all over again.
I can get it to charge if I hold the power and the camera buttons together and wait till I see the plug phone into computer screen on the phone and I see the red LED come on but this is the only way, if I use the wall charger it will start to charge for a few then go into a boot loop.
I got Cerebellum ROM V2 on my HTC Surround Windows Phone.
Is there anything I can do to get this back to normal?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Anybody? Should I flash it with NWAs rom?

Please anybody. I would really like to know if I can flash this with another rom, like DeepShinnings or Dynamics. I know its not for the same phone but it is the same family.

Ok everyone, it started to go into a continuous boot loop so I flashed it with NWA 2.3 rom.
Seems fine. Please if someone out there has been adventurous enough to flash it with Dynamics let me know how the outcome was.

You can delete this thread.
Thanks all.

TMMO US HD2 dead? need help.

hmmm. Sometimes I have a hard time booting up.. I turn on my phone, get to the NRGZ Energizer splash screen... but then the red text does not appear, it just freezes up. sometimes i have to do this 3-4 times before it fully boots up. Other times, i can't boot up with the phone plugged in to either the computer or wall. I get the same problem, freeze at splash. however, after i flash a ROM, it will ONLY boot up with the cord in..
Once i'm fully booted up. I get random freezes and i'm forced to reboot and deal with the aforementioned problems of boot-freeze. i've tried different versions of NRGZ's ROMs, but they all seem to do this.
The above happened in the past month, NOW my HD2 quit responding to all touch commands on the screen. So i figure the ROM was acting up. I flashed a new ROM, same end result. I selected a different dev's ROM, and tried to flash it.. It only flashed 98% and then paused there. After about 20 minutes I decided to pull the plug and try the recovery method, but it didn't. I have, so far, been unsuccessful at flashing a ROM to the device. Everytime I try it stops at 98%.
can someone please help me out? This is my primary phone, and i don't have money for another one.. not even a prepaid. I need to get this guy back up and running.. ANY help is very much appreciated.

It seems more like a hardware fault. Have you tried using a different USB cable or a different USB port (or even a different computer)?
Try flashing the stock T-Mobile ROM, reinstalling the stock SPL, and claiming a warranty swap (say you're experiencing problems that can't be solved by the ROM update or hard resets). Warranty swaps are free, and usually arrive at your doorstep in 3 days.
Good luck.

Endless booting and no recovery access. I'm about to give up.

Help please. I'm basically in a boot loop with no recovery. Idk what I should do or if its possible to make a warranty claim.
Hey guys I'm in a boot loop of some kind. I'm not an advanced user of this stuff but idk what to do at this point. So this is the situation. I have a X10a from at&t and its rooted with busybox and freex10 recovery or whatever. I had a default 2.1 ROM and flashed the offline recharging thing. My phone seemed to work fine but then my battery died out. For a while I've had recharging problems with my phone either my cable is messed up or the usb port. So anyways after it died out I tried to recharge but I was in the 3x red flashing light problem and accidentally broke my charger cord, but continuing I borrowed my friends cord and still had problems so knowing my usb port is kinda broken i just left it there. After about 2 hours my phone majestically starts up lol. So I decided I wanted to put on xrecovery just incase and My computer wont read my phone. I try everything from takeing out my sd card to restarting my computer to reinstalling pc companion like 20 times. So I tried a factory reset through the phone settings and ended up where i currently am in a boot loop. It turns on and does the sony ericsson thing then does the boot animation then my phone vibrates and the screen darkens and my buttons are lit up. It has been like this for about 30 mins so far. I tried restarting my phone by taking out the battery and taking out the sd card/sim card.
Sorry for this being long but this is my situation. Could you please help me out? I Don't know if I can do a warranty claim or anything I'm desperate so please any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Also if there is anymore information you need please just ask.
use flashtool and flash a rooted generic 2.1 rom
install xrecovery
restore a back up
My computer can't read my phone. How can I fix that? It can go into flash mode but nothing shows up not even in the /:c/ area
if your phone is in flash mode, it's fine. start flashtool, click "flash", select the rom you want to flash, put phone in flash mode (turn off, hold back button while plugging phone in, wait for green light), click ok, let it do it's thing.
Even when i go into flash mode it doesn't work. It goes in flash mode while it searches then after a while the x10 leaves flash mode. Tbh I think its my cable though. Any idea where to get an official one that will ship to hawaii?
You may be missing the drivers.
Install SEUS "Sony Erricson Update Service" from the sony erricson website.
And let it detect your phone at least once.
You can also use it to restore your phone.
Good luck.
I got all the drivers. I'm just gonna buy a Xperia Play and see if i can fix my x10 and sell it or somthing. But thanks for all the help guys
Go to flashtool, press on flash select firmware. Then after it asks put your x10 connected without your battery. Put your battery in and it should flash.

any mini usb cable should work. i use the cable from my bt device for my phone.
If the x10 goes out of flashmode, try to hold in the back button under the whole flashing progress.

**SOLVED** [Q] My Droid Razr M won't get past the droid eye on boot up

I apologize already if this has already been posted before, I couldn't see one that had my issues so I'm making this thread.
OK, so here is my problem and everything that I can think of that I've done to my phone.
Today I tried to restart my phone as it was getting a bit sluggish. When I did it started booting fine then the animation sound stopped while the droid eye was being put together. Now my phone will not pass the droid eye during the boot phase. I press the power and both volume buttons and after a few seconds it starts itself back up again. I do the power button and down volume buttons and it still does the same thing. I've even performed the factory reset twice and it still won't help.... And no matter what I do it keeps booting itself back up on its own.
What I've done to my phone:
I am rooted but never got the boot loader unlocked since i waited too long and the last update wouldn't allow the boot loader unlock methods anymore. I have used titanium backup app to delete some system apps for example the Verizon football one, slacker radio, and any of those useless apps that I never use. I haven't deleted anything lately and have restarted my phone many times since. I have been delaying the recent update hitting no or not now, whatever it says. I thought that I said no today on the system update as well. Even then my phone was working before I restarted it.
PLEASE I hope that there is something that I can do to fix my phone because I'm forced to use my LG Vortex again and my upgrade isn't for another year..... I don't want to buy a new one since this phone has been great and I'm almost certain that if there was a way to reinstal or flash the droid razr m OS that that would fix my issues.
Thanks in advance for your input and please know that I'm a novice with this kind of thing so you will have to explain the process to me. If i have instructions I can definitely follow them.
THANKS!
You Factory Reset a couple of times, so that tells me you know how to get into recovery. See if you can get back into recovery and try clearing cache/dalvik too. I think you can still do that from stock recovery.
If that doesn't work and your battery is good, you can fastboot to recover it. If your battery was low when you started this, charge it prior to fastbooting. Just hold down the power button until the phone shuts off and plug into a WALL charger until it's charged. If the battery is good, you can grab the firmware from here http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=8 (use the second one from the bottom, .3, if you flash the last one you will not be able to gain root) and flash in RSD. Another choice is to use House of Moto to recover: http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/28162-house-of-moto-20/ .
OK, so I deleted the cashe and still a no go. For the second step of getting the .3 to regain root. would it be possible to get an even earlier version so I can unlock the boot loader? Also when you say flash in RSD, what is that? I know of the AP flash from the first menu, is that something inside of Recovery menu options?
Thanks for your help!
**UPDATE**
THANKS! I was able to eventually figure it out and used the last option that you said and my phone works! Now working on getting root back. Thanks again!! But I really would like to know if I could do the same thing but with an earlier version to unlock the bootloader.
Droid Razr starting up issue
Hi guys, I am facing a weird issue with my Droid Razr and hoping pros to help me sort this out and get my phone running.
I am using Droid Razr but since last one week it is not starting up. Let me elaborate, currently it is switched off and not getting up. While starting it pass through M logo but can't go ahead for startup animation (droid eye animation). Even after leaving on that animation for entire day, it is not going ahead of that.
However, if I connect it to a wall charger (while it is off) it shows battery getting charged. It is taking a usual timing of 90 minutes for full charge.
I have important pictures and data into phone memory is there any way to recover it.
I would appreciate if you can guide me to get my phone up and running as usual.

Power won't turn on after flashing Alliance ROM. HELP PLEASE!!

So I had Alliance ROM on my phone to begin with and I downloaded this http://www.alliance-rom.com/communit...able-nd7.9054/ and installed it in safestrap recovery mode. After the file was finished installing the phone turned off. (I thought it was going to restart and well that never happened, The phone doesn't even turn on. I've taken the battery out and tried to power it on, I've tried taking the SIM and SDCard out and turning it on. I've left it plugged in and charging and tried turning it on, I'v plugged it into a computer and tried it that way. Nothing that I have tried has worked. If anyone can please help me get this working I would HIGHLY APPRECIATE IT!! I use this phone for work and to keep in touch with my Daughter. Thank you ahead of time for any ideas that may or may not work.
First thing, the link you posted doesn't work. There's dots in the middle. Second, if it won't even boot to the Galaxy S5 screen before the boot animation that could be one of two things. A. It installed a custom boot loader not meant for your device that could be fixed if you could boot to download mode, which you can't. Or b. your phone is physically broken and you'd need to take it to Verizon to get fixed. Right now it's probably the second, but I have little clue as to the ROM you installed.
This has been pretty much answered for you in your other thread. You put a rom meant for note 2 on your S5 , probably not going to be fixable. But your ONLY chance is to get the phone into Download mode. Then odin a stock S5 ROM. No longer any need to panic you have brick so...At this point remain calm and move slowly so you don't make another mistake hope you get lucky.

Can someone please help me?

I have a mojo that will not boot properly. I have flashed many of these boxes and never had any issues. This was fully working 12.1 that I gave to a friend about a year ago. When plugged in it does absolutely nothing I found with USB plugged in and rapidly plugging and unplugging the power I can get into fastboot. Through fastboot I can get to TWRP and from there I have re flashed rom tried 202ww 205 and even restored backup no matter what it will not boot not even back to TWRP without fast boot command also have to do the rapid plug and unplug of the power I have found that I can boot into the ROMs by loading the boot.img through fast boot. I have even tried factory reset through Android but it does nothing everything still appears. This is now over my head and I'm not sure what to do. I do have another fully-working unit here but I don't even know what files would help me or if they would. Thank you all in advance this is a great forum and I would not have gotten anywhere without it
Hi Kal357, it sounds similar to an issue i had with a phone, where in a nutshell the storage became corrupt, and ran in write protect mode. So I could boot to TWRP, flash a ROM, reboot, but be back at square one... was a bit like ground hog day... the end result was binning it unfortunately. That said I do hope that this isn't your problem.
Thank you for replying. I kind of hoped more people would respond buy now. As far as write protect wouldn't make much sense as I have flashed different ROMs and been able to fully boot into the rom. Then again I don't even know what to think anymore? does anyone think I should be posting this somewhere else? I do not have any social media Accounts.
