Hi XDA-members!
I'm kind of a noob when it comes to rooting and flashing, but I manage to do it with a little time and guides!
My question is:
Are all ROMs that can be flashed on Android 4.2.2 compatible with Android 4.3?
If not, what ROMs can you currently flash?
Thanks!! :good:

You can flash any roms from sections if you are on 4.2.2
dev's of respective roms are building rom based on 4.3 so just stay tuned.. hope my post helped you.

There is plenty of information out there if you do a very brief look/search and out of respect to the forum by reading the faq's

Insanity cm017/glitch v10c
the most stable rom is probably official stock rom from Samsung with no modifications.
check this thread for untouched stock roms that can be flashed using odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011901
or deodexed stock roms also flashed using odin or cwm
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948790
flash the deodexed roms if you want to apply other modifications easily using cwm
I just wanted to know if there is development for a stock android 4.3 rom? I'm sorry if that's completely noob.
Okibi (jakeday) says he will have one soon. .. malladus is awesome till that happens

Kernels come with the roms. No need to flash another.
Modem only if there is a random call quality bug. you can ask this in the LS4.4 Q&A thread too.
Wee you can. But as my practice, i flash the rom, boot it up, then flash gapps.

Hi all,
I have a question about choosing a custom ROM. My phone was running android 4.4.2 before I started flashing custom roms with TWRP. I have flashed a custom rom based on 4.4.2 (CM11) and 5.1.1 (CM12.1). I saw a custom rom based on 4.3 that I was interested in trying. Am I able to flash the 4.3 rom (after a factory reset of course)?
Sorry if this is a newb question, but I really dont want to destroy my phone doing something stupid.
Thanks!
Hello!
I have a GT-I9505 (jfltexx) with android 5.0.1 (stock rom) and I would like to flash my first custom ROM - specifically CM 11. Do I have to downgrade to KitKat first (via Odin?) or can I just root, install TWRP and flash it from Lollipop?
Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide.

Only thing you need to do:
- Flash TWRP
- Flash the custom rom you want.
ps do not use outdated custom roms like CM 11. Always use the latest custom roms available. Thus CM 12.1.
