Yes. But it uses an older changelist compared to MG4 so probably not a worthy update. It maybe just a bugfix release specifically for that country.

Just to let you know it will definitely restore the IMEI if you come from MG4 since they're in the same "MG" family modem name. So the case is still the same if you flash an older modem like MF6 for example you will still have an unreadable IMEI.
I am not sure if it is correct as now my new baseband modem is I9300DDEMG2
When I was in BTU my baseband modem was I9300XXEMG4
Now rolling back to MG2, I am able to read imei and network is ON.

Like i said they're in the same "MG" family modem so it can read the modified EFS format.
corrected by popcorn1122's post below.
Thats not correct that MG family will read all MG modems.
DDEMG2 Modem was not able to read XXEMG4 modem files

Hmmm... I see I stand corrected then. Perhaps the MG2 modem reverts the old efs structure back.
The only test which I need to do is to roll back to old official INU version I9300XXEMC2 change version 1042335 and check if modems work.
I am in office and it will take 10 hours more to conduct that test. I am now tooo scared to do it though... if someone does it it wold be of great help.

You don't need to flash the whole firmware btw you just need to flash the modem and see if it will still read the IMEI.

Restored my original Orange stock ROM (KG3) and updated via kies to see what latest firmware version kies would give, kies only gave me KH3 option? So I flashed this posted KJ4 version instead.
Many thanks Przekret....

or am i better getin frankenstein kj3 once uploaded??
Any know issues? i'm just upgrading mine from KH1 to KJ4 now. is there any changelog known for this?
i have an unbranded handset if i put this firmware on will be be easy as just to flash another firmware??? by puttin this on does this mean i will then have a branded handset i dont get this branding thing lol
got the update but only by updating Kies first of all. with the old Kies it reported no updates available at all. now running the new 2.3.5 from 2.3.3. hopefully Bluetooth is fixed as it wouldn't automatically connect with Cars Audio/handfree kit.
Any news on the change log ?

anyone got another link for this, Hotfile keeps saying I've already got a download, but haven't
OK sorted now

Is there any where i can grab the original KJ4 orange kernel to flash after rooting? Or is there a way of extracting it from the download that i got from the first page links? or even copying the kernel off the phone using odin after flashing the update and before rooting?
Sorry if this is in the wrong place but i have been searching for this all evening with no luck? any help is much appreciated.
Yes, kernel and multiple mirror for the firmware can be found in the carrier firmware thread in the dev forum.

Than make one and ask of it can be a sticky than. All important threads i want to read get pushed on seconde or third page because of all threads about updates.
Greetings
I installed this ROM and changed the CSC on my phone before realizing that doing so would do a factory reset. I became instantly afraid that I would become the victim of the EMMC brick bug (again). But I am happy to report the phone booted up just fine

Reset flash counter, unrooot, flash Indian Sammy firmware via ODIN, factory reset and then try OTA.
download INU or INS better and what their difference ??

Dunno what the difference is, but both appear to be the same...*shrug*
Go with INU, that's what I download, if I want to flash a stock ROM.
Why do you guys want to flash this ROM? The Hong Kong/Taiwan ROM has a higher changelist and build date. This one is older.

INU is unbranded Indian Rom
INS is branded one
But in India there is no network bonding, so you can use any..

Hi,
Just a quick clarification.. I can just reboot into recovery and put the modem and the other file into my internal memory and go about it that way to update my note 2 without losing any of my data and apps right?
As shown here...
http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...ng-the-latest-ota-with-root-xda-developer-tv/
Obviously I have backed up everything on Titanium but just don't want to go through that hassle again.
Even you flash full stock ROM with Odin, you won't lose anything (except something gors wrong). You just will need to reroot
You can use mobile odin to keep root intact.

Yes, I know but the method shown here in the video I posted above is a lot easier for me. I basically rooted for a few things that were important to me and custom roms was not one of them.
So if I take your prerooted stock rom and modem files and follow the method shown in the video I can boot back up after recovery with all my data intact.. (considering everything goes right). Correct?
I didn't check video, but what I guess is you mean extract files and you want to flash it from cwm?
If that is the case and you want to update using device (without pc) then i recommend mobile odin. Just copy prerooted rom on sd card and simple flash. For prerooted, you need not to have pro version.

Oh ok, great. Thanks so much for your guidance. Hopefully it doesn't conflict with my xposed modules and multi window manager applications.
Cheers!
What languages are included?
How can I find if this version includes Spanish?
It is possible to upgrade this baseband version with Kitkat V4.4 OS?
I have same device .. i wish to upgrade with 4.4 Kitkat....
Can you give a new link?
Hi,
I need N7100XXDMG1 rom for note 2. Can you please provide a download link? The ones on the page are not working.
Thanks in anticipation.
